Mwahahahahaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!! It's finally here! The Smeared Ink 31 Days of Halloween! This is the 7th year! I can't believe it. I am super stoked to kick things off this year, so let's get to it! For my first project, I made a card that features the super rad Skeleton Lady stamp from Stampendous. The focal image is all one stamp. I love the collaged look that it has. You can click on my photos to see them bigger.
I am really excited about this year of 31 Days, because I am now on the Stampendous Design Team. I love to represent them! Plus, the Stampendous blog is taking part in posting this year, so you will get to see what my fellow teamies are making too. My image here was colored with Tombow watercolor markers, and I spritzed it with irRESISTables from Tsuineko. Here's a close up.
For my background, I did a couple of things. For the black layer, that's actually Coredinations cardstock. I used the Dreamweaver Rain Stencil and ran it through my Sizzix Big Shot machine. Then, I sanded the drops down a bit to show off the olive under-color. I felt like it still needed a little something more, so I laid my stencil back on top of the cardstock, and I applied a layer of Translucent embossing paste. After it dried, I was happy with.
On my card base, I used a N Studio Stampendous stamp from the Wired set. I heat embossed it with Garnet PEARLuster embossing powder. Such a pretty color and stands out nicely against the indigo cardstock (Prism) I used for my base. That's about it for me today. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers, all listed in my sidebar. And to get all of the details on the 31 Days of Halloween, please visit the Smeared Ink blog. This is going to be a great month! Have a creeptastic day!
