Standing in the Clouds with ADfD

Hello! I have a new card with a lovely image from A Day for Daisies to share with you today. The digi is called Standing in the Clouds . I colored this beauty with Zig Clean Color Markers and a water brush. Here's a close up. My background was created with the Piasso Stencil from Dreamweaver (available from Stampendous ), White VersaColor Ink (from Imagine ), a sponge dauber, and Detail White Embossing Enamel. Then I sprayed the background with Sheer Shimmer Spritz in Frost. You'll see that better in the photo below. The entire background looks frosty. My sentiment is from the Soaring Sentiments set. I edged it and my card base with Bahama Blue and Danube Blue Memento Ink , which really matched her jacket perfectly. See the pretty shimmer? I love the Sheer Shimmer Spritzes, and I encourage you to give them a try. I'll have another project for A Day for Daises soon, and our February challenge will be posted on Friday. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiri

Sympathy Card

Hello! Card makers love to make joyous cards, commemorating wonderful life events. Birthdays, weddings, graduations, etc. Unfortunately, we also need to make cards for sad things such as the passing of a loved one. It's always good to have a few of these on hand, because I know that for me, when I lose someone, I do not want to make a card. So it's best to have these done ahead of time. Below is a simple card that can be done in any color range you like. I went with this month's color choice from Imagine , which is Wintergreen. Supplies: Imagine: VersaColor - Seafoam, Mint, Celadon, Evergreen Embossing Powder - Clear Delicata Ink : Silvery Shimmer Other: Stampendous : Those We Love stamp ,  Mixed Media Paper For this card, I started off with Stampendous' Mixed Media Paper, which is nice and smooth, and I cut it to 5 1/4" x 3 3/4." I rubbed the Seafoam across the top and covered about 1/3 of the paper. Next I used the Mint Versacolor and covered an

Stufftainer Tags

I, probably like you, have a lot of stamps. I need them when I have so many awesome inks and sprays from Imagine! I use a few different ways to organize them depending on the brand, size, and how often I need to access them. I need to get to my Stampendous Cling Stamps frequently, so I keep them near my desk in Stampendous' Stufftainers, and they then sit in a magazing holder. But, it's kind of tough to see which stamp is in which Stufftainer without pulling several out. So I decided to make tags to label them, and of course I used lots of wonderful Imagine products to make them.  Supplies : Imagine : Fireworks! Spray : Danube Blue, Desert Sand, New Sprout, Rose Bud, Bahama Blue Kaleidacolor : Calypso, Creole Spice VersaMagic : Pretty Petunia, Sahara Sand, Red Brick irRESISTables : Silver Pico Embellisher Memento Ink : Grape Jelly Embossing Powder : Black, White Other: Stampendous : Stufftainers, Assorted Stamps from Andy Skinner, Nathalie Kalback, Laurel Burch

Every Morning is a New Beginning

Hello! For the month of January, the Imagine team has been working with the theme "New Beginnings." For me, a new beginning happens each and every day, and I like to start the day off with breakfast. I'm going to sound like a public service announcement, but breakfast is the most important meal of the day...so why not start it off with a smile? I was inspired by Law Fawn's Love 'N Breakfast stamps, and I thought that Radiant Neon Amplify! would make some fun egg accents on a card. Supplies: Imagine: VersaFine : Onyx Black Memento Markers : Dandelion, Rhubarb Stalk, Desert Sand, Summer Sky, New Sprout, Pear Tart, Angel Pink, Rose Bud, Lulu Lavender, Sweet Plum, Tangelo, Love Bug Radiant Neon Amplify !: Electric Yellow, White Encore Ultimate Metallic : Blue Other: Lawn Fawn : Love 'N Breakfast stamp set Canson Mixed Media Paper Cardstock: Wedgewood Blue, Powder Blue, White Adhesive Heat Tool Directions: 1. Cut a 3" x 3" square of Ca

Pink Your Life Finale!

Welcome! Today is the final day for the Stampendous and Pink Your Life Blog Hop. I hope you have enjoyed all of the projects shared this week. Be sure to visit the Stampendous Blog to get all of the info on the hops for today, as well as the awesome prizes that are up for grabs. Today, I have a card that uses a couple of sets, but features Whisper Princess . I decided to color the Princess with Copics. Something I don't use very often, because I only have literally 35 colors, and about half are dried out. But, I had enough colors that coordinated to get her colored in. I then fussy cut her out. My background was done directly on the card base, which, looking back I shouldn't have done. The card base is too flimsy, and it warped. I stamped all of the images out with VersaFine from Imagine. Then I colored all of the elements in with Faber-Castell's Art Grip Aquarelle pencils. Since they're watercolor pencils, the water warped the card. I was really just playi

Furry Friends

Greetings! This week, the Stampendous team is sharing projects that are "Snow Wonderful." That is, they've got some snow elements on them. My card features Furry Friends , which is a very sweet image. Here's how to make it.  Instructions: I stamped out and then colored the Furry Friends image with the Chameleon Pens listed in the supplies. Next, she fussy cut the image out, but left a thin white border around the image so as to not lose the fuzziness of the animals.  The card base was cut to 5 1/2" x 8." The color is called Tropical. I then used 2 Spellbinders Card Creator dies to cut the mats. She used 2 Scoops in Cookies & Cream (the pre-textured cardstock), and Kachina.  On the Kachina piece of cardstock, I took Pearlescent Embossing Paste and applied it to look like snow around all 4 edges with her palette knife, doing 2 sides at a time. She then sprinkled Crystal Embossing Powder on the first 2 sides, and heat set it. She next repeated thi

Curvy Balloons

Welcome back! I have a 3rd A Day for Daisies project to share with you this week. Today, I have a card using Curvy Balloons . This chick has such a cool vibe. Take a look. I colored her with my Zig Clean Color Markers. I added a fun sentiment from Stampendous' Wild Sayings set using VersaFine ink. My background was created by using Imagine's Kaleidacolor Inks in Berry Blaze with Ink Potion No. 9  (to help the ink move across my paper better) and a Brayer. Then I used a lovely Elegant Border stamp with more VersaFine. I added a little washi tape to the bottom of my card, and I inked the edges of the card with Turquoise Gem VersaMagic to bring out the color of her hair. Don't forget to play along with the newest A Day for Daisies challenge. Learn how over on the ADfD Blog . Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
