Happy Halloween!Today I have a Halloween card, which I feel like I have seriously been missing out on this October. I began creating this card on a Facebook Live, where I shared how to do the Molten Metal Technique. I used the  Jack O Lanterns Stencil  for this technique. To see how it's done, please check out replay below. And here is the finished card... After I finished the Molten Metal Technique, I colored in the eyes and mouths of the Jacks with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Then I created a sky and ground with Chipped Sapphire, Frayed Burlap, and Black Soot Distress Ink. I dug through my scraps and found a cool piece of orange cardstock to stick behind my Jacks. Then I created my card base out of brown cardstock. I decide to mimic my Distress Ink background, so I tore a piece of deep blue cardstock, and dripped on some Sheer Shimmer Spritz in Frost for a touch of additional shine. Greetings! Do you have a fear of spiders? I know several people that do. I happen to not be the biggest fan of how spiders look , but I really appreciate what they do for the environment. I was inspired by the very cool web in the Spider Fear stamp set from Stampendous . I started off by creating my background with glossy photo paper and Ranger Alcohol Inks . There are many options for types of paper that can be used with alcohol inks, but I like how inexpensive photo paper is, and I can get great results. For this background, I used Stonewashed, Eggplant, and Stream. I also used Ranger's Blending Solution to help move the color around. After I was satisfied with my background, and it was totally dry, I inked up the spider web with StazOn ink in Jet Black . I like to let the stamp sit on the background for a little longer than a regular ink just to be sure that the StazOn transfers well. Next I applied my spider and sentiment using the same ink. Halloween Greetings to you! I have a project for the Stampendous 31 Days of Halloween to share with you today. I used the new Crowned Skull stamp for this card. I started off with a background that I had made some time ago with Distress Oxides. I like to make a bunch of backgrounds at once, so that I have plenty to choose from when I need it. This particular background uses Wilted Violet, Faded Jeans, Peeled Paint, and I think a little Antique Linen. I put lots of water droplets on it when I made it to show the oxidation. For my stamp, I used VersaFine Clair Ink in Nocturne, and it stamped the image out beautifully. I wanted some of the details of the stamp to show up more, so I colored in the roses, the leaves, the crown, and parts of the skull using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Greetings! I have a fun Halloween project today for Stampendous ' 31 Days of Halloween. I was inspired by the Little Monsters stamp set, and thought they would look adorable on little treat bags. I have a bunch of these little paper bags from Whisker Graphics . Since they are food safe, they are perfect for this quick project. I just stamped a few of the Little Monsters images on to each of the bags with VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne and colored them all in with PITT pencils from Faber Castell. The PITT pencils blend so nicely, that I was able to go for wild color choices and they still came out looking great! The pencils are nice and soft too, so I don't hurt my hands when I use them like I often do with regular colored pencils. I love the polka dot bag! I thought that the eyeball balloon was perfect to coordinate with it. I think it took me about 20 minutes to make both of these bags from start to finish. Nice and quick! Greetings! I am so excited about my card today. This isn't for any challenge, or any Design Team...it's just because I was inspired and I had to make it. So I have totally fallen in love with the Gina K Wreath Builder Templates . I have seen a lot of beautiful wreaths with flowers and greenery from many people, but I wanted to step out of the box. Way out. The Wreath Builder Templates are perfect for making really cool cards for Halloween. I have a bunch made/in the works already, but this was my first, and i really love it. I adore Hero Art's Luna the Halloween Cat stamp set. I love it's simplicity, it's elegance, and of course, all of the imagery. So I chose one of the lovely cats, and began to build my "wreath." Hello crafty peeps! I am really excited to share today's project with you. It's for the September Get Kids Crafty Blog hop, and our theme is...wait for it....Halloween! It's the most wonderful time of year, and my daughter and I were really stoked to make this project together. Miss R really wanted to make some kind of decoration instead of a card, so we decided to make a banner together. I have an old Sizzix banner die set that cuts out different parts of banners so that it is extremely customizable. She went through my Halloween papers, and of course fell in love with some glitter cardstock from an older Martha Stewart paper pad. Then she decided that she wanted a purple background and green letters for her "Boo." Knowing that the word is only 3 letters long, we thought that it needed to have at least 2 more sections, so we grabbed the Framed Witch Metal Stencil from Stampendous. Hello! I've got a shaker card to share with you today, ad it features the " Something Wicked " Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground. I LOVE this new Sparkle Blend because it has shades of purples, blue, black and silver. Plus!!! It's got little sequins with black and white stripes, and teeny fimo pieces that have witch hats and ghosts on it! It's almost like Amber made this blend for me! ;) Of course, I created this card based on the colors and vibe of this particular Sparkle Blend. I went through all of my Halloween stamps (that took a while!) and came across this great witch silhouette from Recollections (it's a Michaels brand). I stamped her directly on to acetate with StazOn Ink . Next I chose a purple cardstock for my top layer and die cut a circle that would accommodate the size of my stamped image, plus extra room to see the Sparkle Blends moving and shaking! Happy Halloween!!!!!!!!! It's the greatest day of the year! I can't believe we have made it to the end. Thank you so much to everyone that has left me such wonderful comments. I have been more of a lurker this year, but I am going to try to go back and leave you guys some love now that the month is over. For my last 31 Days of Halloween project for the year, I have one last tag. I broke out an older stencil called the Leafless Tree from Stampendous (originally from Dreamweaver Stencils). This is a HUGE stencil, but I used just a tiny piece on this tag. I sprayed it with a few colors like purple, black, and deep blue, and then flipped it over on to my tag. I pulled out some Inkadinkado stamps from years ago and applied them with Onyx Black VersaFine ink, and then I heat embossed them with Detail Black Embossing Powder . Greetings my spooktacular fiends! It's Day 30 of the 31 Days of Halloween. Eek! It's almost the end. Today I am sharing a card that uses a stencil I used in the beginning of the month, but in a totally different way. I know that some folks are a little intimated by stencils, so my goal was to show you a simple way to use them that gives a cool effect. I used the Broom Flight stencil from Stampendous. All the possible colors that can be used and some of the smaller spaces may get some people a little anxious. But by simply spraying one side of the stencil and pressing it in to watercolor paper, you can achieve fast look. I used Cut Grass and Crushed Grape Dylusions Spray, with a teensy bit of Metallic Orange Memories Mist for a bit of a shine. My card base, which is black, has Sheer Shimmer Spritz in Gold brushed around the border. On the stenciled layer, I also dripped some Tuxedo Black Fireworks! Spray. Spider webs at night look really cool when the moonlight hits them, especially if there is some dew on it. That's what I was trying to recreate here. Hello! It is Day 28 of the 31 Days of Halloween. Today I have a tag for you that features and image from Stampendous' Halloween Labels Stamps and Die Set . I started off with a simple manila tag from the office supply store. I sprayed it with Cut Grass Dylusions spray as well as metallic orange Memories Mist. While that was drying, I stamped out my image with VersaFine Ink in Onyx Black on to Canson's Mixed Media paper and colored it in with Zig Clean Color Markers. Then I die cut it. I love that the dies actually come with the stamps. I then rubbed VersaMark ink around the edges of the tag and sprinkled on Aged Black embossing powder. I heated it from underneath because I kept the powder thick, and not all of it would adhere to the VersaMark. I also added some teeny bats from the Spooky Wishes set. Hello! It's Day 27 of the 31 Days of Halloween. Today I am sharing a card with another alcohol ink background. I shared a couple of those last week, but you'll see that this background looks different from the others, as you really ca't make 2 exactly the same. I used Ranger's alcohol inks in Stonewashed, Eggplant, Cornflower, and Pitch Black. The stamped image is from Stampendous, though this particular stamp is no longer offered on their web site. Sometimes you just need to break out some of the older stuff, right? This is a much bigger image that the little coffins I heat embossed on my first alcohol ink background card. I want to remind you that there are pretty strong fumes emitted when you heat the dry alcohol ink, so please be very careful, or try another technique altogether. But as I heated this (I used VersaMark with Detail White Embossing Powder), the background actually started to crack. This was really more due to the Glossy Photo paper I used, rather...
