Add Dimensional Flowers with ADfD

Hello! It's time for a new challenge with A Day for Daises . For the next two weeks, the challenge is to "Add Dimensional Flowers" to your projects. I used Three Helpers for my project. Aren't they sweet? Reminds me of my children wanting to help me with things. I colored the image with my Tombow Dual Brush watercolor markers. Here's a close up. I kept the image very crisp...kind of unlike me, but t just felt right with this image. I added some Shabby White embossing powder around the perimeter of the card. It added a little texture and a bit of shine to the card. I also added 2 denim flowers, which worked really well with the Momma's dress. Please be sure to visit the A Day for Daises Blog to see more wonderful projects from the rest of the Design Team. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Gray, Teal and Red with Wicked Wednesday

Greetings! It's time for a new Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge . This week, we are sponsored by Bloobel Stamps, and the theme is "Gray, Teal (or turquoise) and Red." Here's what I made using Telephone Time. I cropped the image down a lot, and I colored it with my Tombow Dual Bush watercolor markers. My "Hello" is from Stampendous' Bouquet for You set, I added a simple button and inked the edges of my cardstock. Nice and simple. I really wanted the great color palette to be the focus here. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Wednesday team over on the blog. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Grown with Love

Hello! It's Friday, so I have a new project for A Day for Daises to share with you. This week, the team is sharing images from the "It's a Child's World" collection, and I used Grown with Love. I love to garden, and it's been so cold in NY, that often I think about how nice it will be to grow some new flowers in the warm sunshine. I colored this adorable image with my Tombow Dual Brush watercolor markers. I inked around the edges a bit with Summer Sky Memento ink from Imagine Crafts. I also used a Fitted Frame from Stampendous to die cut around the image. I used some of the Lime embossing powder from the Spring Sparkle Embossing Kit from Stampendous around the edge of my card base. On the pink cardstock, I stamped the Peeled Paint image from Andy Skinner's Industrial set (with Rose Bud Memento ink). My sentiment is from the Spring Sentiments set, and I used a wee bit of washi tape in one corner. Please visit the rest of the Design Team ove...

Baby, It's Cold Outside with Wicked Wednesday

Greetings! Baby it's cold outside...at least in NY it is, and that's what the theme is for this week's Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge. We are sponsored by Polkadoodles this time around, and I used their Igloo  for my ATC. I colored the igloo with my Faber-Castell Aquarelle pencils. The ice was done with Wedding Dress irRESISTable Pico Embellisher by Imagine Crafts. I used a grass punch to make the icicles at the top of the ATC, I sprayed my cardstock with Sheer Shimmer Spray in Frost (also by Imagine Crafts), and a fun phrase from Stampendous . You can see the shimmer and shine in the above pic. So icy and pretty! Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Wednesday gals over on the blog. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

A Touch of Wood-Take 2!

Hello! So it seems that I goofed. I said last Friday that the new A Day for Daisies challenge was beginning and that it was "Add a Touch of Wood." Well, it's actually starting this week! So hopefully, you took my little mix-up and used it to your advantage and have a project already made! Here's my project for today. I am so loving the February Club Kit with all of the wooden horses. I made my marker application streaky, to mimic the look of wood. I used my Tombow Dual Brush Watercolor markers for this. For more of the wooden look, I used the Wood Background stamp from Stampendous . I inked it with Rich Cocoa Memento ink from Imagine Crafts. I used 2 Fitted Frames dies cuts (also from Stampendous), 3 buttons, and sweet May Arts ribbon to finish off the card. This was one that came together really quickly, which made me very happy. I like this one because it's great for a boy. Please be sure to visit the A Day for Daises blog to see what the rest of...

Seeing Red with Wicked Wednesday

Hello! We on the Wicked Wednesday team are "Seeing Red" this week...and not just for Valentine's Day. We are sponsored by Lemon Shortbread this week. I used Goth Fairy Witch . I colored her with my Tombow Dual Brush Markers. I created a mix of various red, gold and black embossing powders and glass glitters from Stampendous for the corners of the image. I added some ribbon, and I inked the edges of my red ATC base. Thanks to Lemon Shortbread for being a great sponsor for Wicked Wednesday again! Please be sure to visit the rest of the WW team over on the blog . Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Embossing Techniques with Stampendous!

This is going to be a great week! The Stampendous Design Team will be sharing all sorts of techniques from Fran Seiford's (owner and creator of Stampendous) brand-spankin' new book Embossing Techniques from A-Z.  I have been embossing since I was a teenager, and this book had new info for me in it! I couldn't believe how detailed, easy to understand, and chock FULL of inspiration this book has. It is perfect for the novice or long-time crafter. You must get yourself a copy!  For my project today, I chose to work with Embossing Technique letter "J." You'll need to check out the book for exactly how it was done, but I will tell you that it's simple and really fun. I love the effect. I used the Queen Annes Lace stamp for my card. Such a pretty stamp. My watercolors are from Strathmore . I also used some Tear It! tape from Imagine Crafts along with Stampendous' Multi Crystal Glitter Mix for that super-sparkly line I have at the bottom. Be...

Stampendous and Tombow Hop

Hello there! The Stampendous team is sharing projects using Tombow adhesives along with the new Stencil Duos. I loved using the Balloon Duo Stencil Set so much (see my post from Monday), that I decided to use it again this week! I laid the pattern stencil on to my Mixed Media paper, taped it down, and then taped the balloon stencil on top of that. I used the fabulous pen that comes in the Stencil Duo set and traced the background image. Next, I removed the stencils, and colored the pattern in with Memento markers from Imagine Crafts. Then I trimmed the balloon out, but I decided it needed a little sumpin' sumpin'... and hey! We're doing a Tombow Blog Hop, right? I used their cool Glue Pen to outline parts of the pattern on the balloon, and I sprinkled some Lime Micro Glitter from the Halloween Glitter Kit on top. I worked in small sections so that the glue didn't dry before I got the glitter on. It is holding the glitter beautifully! I also used the Glue Pen...

A Touch of Wood with ADfD

Greetings! It's time for a new A Day for Daisies Challenge to go along with the brand new February Club Kit. I used Stick Horse Pink for my card today. My daughter would love to have this unicorn for sure! I colored it with my Tombow Dual Brush watercolor markers, and I fussy cut it out. For my background, I used a wood grain stamp that I've had in my stash for about 9 years. I used clear embossing ink with the Pink powder from the Spring Sparkle Embossing Powder Kit from Stampendous . You can see the glitter better in the photo below. I also used 2 Fitted Frames dies as little accents, and some washi tape for a border above and below the pink cardstock. Please be sure to visit the rest of the A Day for Daisies team over on the Blog . Thanks for stopping by, Have an inspiring day!

Head Shots with Wicked Wednesday

Hello! I am super stoked to share my latest ATC for Wicked Wednesday with you. This week, our theme is "Head Shots," and we are sponsored by The East Wind . I used Apple Seed for my ATC, and I LOVED coloring it. I used my Tombow watercolor markers to color this stunning image. And I really just needed to do a green apple instead of a red one. For my background, I used a cool stencil from Stencil girl, and faaaaaaabulous Spoonful of Midnight (from Stampendous) in the corners. It is such a cool, kinda goth mix of embossing powders and glitters. I hope you will join us this week for this cool theme. You may just win some East Wind digis! Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Wednesday gals over at the blog. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Balloon Stencil Duo

Greetings! This week, there are lots of cool things happening at Stampendous (as usual!), and to start the week off, a few of us are sharing the brand-spankin' new Stencil Duos. You get 2 fab stencils, blank cards, and a wonderful pen all in one kit! There are 6 versions available, and they are all great! I used the Balloon Duo Stencil Set for my card, and it was so much fun to work with! I started off by taping my stencils down on to watercolor paper, and then I applied embossing ink. I heat embossed the stunning Marcasite embossing powder next. It has beautiful swirls of black, silver, and a touch of glitter. I also used the bottom half of the Incredible You stamp, and I embossed it with Shabby White embossing powder. I used some lovely black, fiberous cardstock that has glitter embedded in it, which added to the fancy look I was trying to give this card. I also added some gold glitter for the balloon's string. I edged my card base with Shimmery Silver and G...
