Taurus with Wicked Wednesday and Flowerful with Bombshell

Greetings! Today I have a new Wicked Wednesday ATC and a new card with Bombshell Stamps . This week at WW, we are sponsored by Delicious Doodles, and the theme is Taurus. Here's what I made. Have you seen the 80's movie Legend? It's one of my top 3 favorite movies of all time. I immediately thought of Tim Curry's character, the Lord of Darkness, hence the red skin and black horns. The glare is terrible on this photo. Sorry about that. She is colored with Spectrum Noir and Copic markers.  Now, on to Bombshell. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough people sign up for today's scheduled Hump Day Hop. But, I (and some of the other girls) wanted to share our projects anyway. The theme was supposed to be Flowerful. Here's what I made. I used Rose's Portrait and Girl's Ruin (for the banner) for my card. Again, these images are colored with Spectrum Noir and Copic markers. I hope that we run the Hump Day Hop next month. Please sign up if yo

Dream-Pendous Collaboration- Final Day

Hello and welcome! Today is the final day for the Dream-Pendous collaboration. In case you've missed it, that's Dreamweaver Stencils , and Stampendous have been making pure madic all week, by using many of the fun toys in each companies' arsenal. There are 3 awesome prizes to be won for 3 lucky fans. So be sure to leave comments on each blog! One of the prizes include the new "Blossom Beauty" stamp set that is shown in the badge on my sidebar. Here's my creation for today. If you hopped on Monday, you may recall how I transformed the Blossom Beauty face into half pretty face, half Day of the Dead face (which I personally also find to be quite pretty!). This time, I went for pure, saturated colors. And no flowers. I don;t tend to get political with my art, but I wanted to show my place when it comes to "differences" between people. Skin deep differences. I feel, that we really are all the same. I made a 12x12 layout. So it's nice and b

Quotes and Words with Wicked Wednesday

Hello! It's Wednesday, so I have a new Wicked Wednesday challenge for you. This week, we are sponsored by DRS Designs , and the challenge is "Quotes and Words." Here's my ATC. I really liked this uplifting quote. I colored the quote with watercolors (to play into the rain/water theme. ;) ). I used bright colors to show the uplifting vibe of the quote. I used some washi tape and Stickles in the color Mermaid. I wish you could see the color a bit better, but it's a tough one to photograph. So I decided to photograph the bottle with it so you can see how pretty it is. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Wednesday gals over on the blog. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

"Dream-Pendous" Collaboration!

Greetings! This is going to be such an exciting week for Dreamweaver Stencil s fans and Stampendous Stamps fans alike. It's going to be a "Dream-Pendous" week of inspiration! The Dreamweaver and Stampendous teams are collaborating once again with all the fun toys in each team's arsenals. Of course, as usual, there will be prizes given out for those who comment throughout the week. In fact, there will be 3 prize packs available! Each will have a great selection of Dreamweaver Stencils and Stampedous dies and images. One being the new "Blossom Beauty" face image as shown in the badge in my sidebar. I am beyond excited to share my project with you. I made an art journal page, with a....rather altered...version of the fantastic Blossom Beauty image. Can you tel that I had soooooo much fun with her?!? It was a blast to rework her beautiful face and turn half of her into a sugar skull. The flowers are really what inspired me to do it. They are so big and be

I'm on the Dream Team!!!

Hello! I can finally tell you!!! I am now officially a part of the Dreamweaver Stencils Dream Team!!! I am beyond thrilled! I have wanted to be a part of this amazing team for quite some time, and I am so honored that I am now. This month, the challenge theme is April Inspirations. So you've got to find something that inspires you to make a project. Easy...especially if you are as obsessed with Pinterest as I am. Here's my inspiration photo. Isn't this beautiful? You can check out the Etsy shop this photo came from HERE . Here's my project. I used the gorgeous Butterfly stencil to make a Shrinky Dink charm. Let me show you the stencil size with the finished pendant. I started by using a pre-sanded Shrinky Dink sheet, and I traced the entire butterfly with a skinny Sharpie Marker. It kind of ruined the tip of my marker, so I recommend trying a marker that has a metal tip. But do a test first to be sure it will work on the shrunken Shrinky Dinks. Then I

Bombshell Color Challenge & Wicked Wednesday Easter or Earth Day

Hello out there! I have 2 ATC's to share with you today. One for the brand new monthly color challenge over at the Bombshell Stamps Blog, and the other is for Wicked Wednesday . Aren't these colors pretty? I was so inspired by them, so I figured the rest of the Bombshell gals would be too. Here's what I made. I used the All My Heart set for this ATC. I used watercolor markers to color in the image. For this week's Wicked Wednesday, the challenge is Easter or Earth Day. I used the sweetest little bunny from Just Some Lines . It's called Egg Hug . Seriously, don't you want to give this cutie a squeeze??? I colored him with my pencils. My sentiment is a Care Bears (how cool is that?!) senti stamp. Tomorrow I have an egg-citing announcement to make, so I do hope you will visit me. Meanwhile, please visit the Bombshell Blog and the Wicked Wednesday Blog to see more fab projects and to play along! Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

DICC #75 with The Stamping Chef

Hello everyone! It's time for a brand new Desert Islands Crafters Challenge . This time, we are sponsored by The Stamping Chef , which is a new company for me. How about you? They have some really fab images, as I am sure that you will see from the rest of the DT when you visit the DICC Blog. Here's the itinerary. 1.  Lots of pink   2.  Sugar skulls 3.  Suckers or sweets (lollipops or candy) 4.  Hearts 5.  Add a feather or wings 6.  Pearls or gemstones 7.  Add a banner or bunting 8.  Stitching (real or faux) 9.  Anything but a card 10.  Spritzes or sprays For my project, I used #'s 1, 4, 6, 8, and 10. The image is called Demented Beauty .  I had such a fun time coloring her! Just enough detail. I guess it may not have as much pink as some of my other teamies....but for this shade of pink, it's kind of a lot for me.  I used watercolor markers to color in the image. And, I got to play with a new (for me) stencil from Dreamweaver ! It's called Ge

Wicked Wednesday and Bombshell Stamps April Sketch

Greetings bloggy friends! I have 2 projects to share with you today. There is a new Wicked Wednesday challenge, and the April Bombshell Stamps Sketch has been revealed! Let's start with Bombshell. Here's this month's sketch. Here's my take on it using the Homeward Bound set. I stamped the ship on old book paper and colored it with Distress Ink. The banner was colored with alcohol markers. I love coloring with Distress Inks. As I was doing my project, my daughter was watching. She decided to create her own Bombshell project, and used Distress Inks for the first time! This week's Wicked Wednesday challenge is Crazy Craniums, and we are sponsored by Smeared Ink. My focal image is from Smeared Ink / Rick St. Dennis ' Morte rubber set. My sentiment is from the Creepy Lil Grumpies set, and the tombstone is from Inkadinkado. I used only a white pen to color the focal image. The other 2 were embossed with a seafoam white embossing powder. I di

April Muse Monday: Man's Ruin

Hello hello! It's the first Monday of the month, so that means it is time for me to share the newest Bombshell Stamps Muse Monday. I chose Man's Ruin , which is such a fun set to work with. The best thing is that it's on sale for the whole month! I colored the main image from Man's Ruin with my colored pencils. Here's a closer look. I really enjoy this stamp. She is so much fun to color, and she's easy to work with. Head on over to the Bombshell Blog today, and every Monday to see lots of great projects featuring this set. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Wicked Wednesday #130: Bunnies

Hello! I have a new Wicked Wednesday challenge for you. The theme this week is "Bunnies," and we are sponsored by A Day for Daises , who I adore. I used Bunny in a Wild Flower . I colored the entire image with watercolor paints. All of my papers were scraps. Don't you love using up scraps? I do! I love this sweet bunny. The glisten in his eye....I just wanna cuddle him! Come play along, and try to win some images from A Day for Daisies. Visit the Wicked Wednesday Blog to see some more adorable ATC's. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

DICC #74

Hello! I have a new Desert Islands Crafters Challenge to share with you. This time around, we are sponsored by Delicious Doodles and Rick St. Dennis . I just won a new image from Delicious Doodles, and I was super excited to use it. Her name is Gothicka , and I think she rocks. As usual, you need to use at least 3 of the items from our itinerary. Here's the list. 1. Something hidden/a surprise 2. Purple 3. Twine 4. Die cut 5. Heat embossing 6. For a man 7. Dog or Cat 8. Distressed 9. Sparkles 10. Moveable parts For my project, I used #'s 2, 4, 5, 8, and 9. I made a 6x6 mini page. Seriously, isn't she stunning? I LOVED coloring her.  I colored her with watercolor markers, alcohol markers, and watercolor paints for the background. My husband thinks she looks like me. I disagree, but I also think it's quite a compliment. :) I used some great embossing powders for the "Goddess" (from Smeared Ink) and the snake skin-like background. I hop
