Spiders with Left of Center

Hello! Today I have a new project for Left of Center . Our challenge this week is Spiders, and we are sponsored by the wonderful company Sami Stamps . Spiders aren't my favorite creatures, but I really like the way these spiders are drawn. I colored the sweet Witch and Whiskers image with a combination of watercolor markers and alcohol markers. I loved coloring her dress. I used a fun star border punch and layered black cardstock underneath. I inked a little blue around the edge as well. Then, I inked and heat glitter embossed a simple "hello" sentiment using the Birthday Words stencil from Dreamweaver Stencils . I have a cool glitter spider web ribbon that I used also for a little extra sparkle. I hope you'll join us at   Left of Center . Please be sure to visit the rest of the DT gals to see even more inspiration. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Happy Birthday Susan! Plus Wicked Wednesday

Hello and welcome to a very special post, dedicated to a very special lady. Today is my dear friend Susan Salyer's birthday. Another wonderful friend, Suzi McKenzie, thought it would be a lovely idea to have a birthday hop for her, so I couldn't pass this up. So my first project is for her. My second is my newest ATC for Wicked Wednesday , more details for that below. I started off with the sweet Little Striped Dress image from A Day for Daisies . I colored it up with my watercolor markers. I paired it with a great sentiment from Create with TLC . Have you seen that blog? LOTS of wonderful FREE sentiments! I wanted to give the background a little more pop, so I used my new Spiral Dots stencil from Dreamweaver . I focused the center of the stencil on the little girl, so that the dots would spiral out from her. You can see that they graduate in size as they go outward. I inked up the edge of the card, as well as my sentiment, and I added some fun trim from May Arts.

But that's what makes challenges fun, right? Frilly, frou frou and Alison are words never used together. I had to really push myself, and I think I did ok!  I used the fun, new Spiral Dots stencil from Dreamweaver, and I applied it with Pearlescent embossing paste and a few sprinkles of Metall

Things with Wings with WW

Greetings and salutations! I have a new Wicked Wednesday  ATC Challenge to share today. The theme is Things with Wings/Bookworms and we are sponsored by A & T Digital Designs. Is this not the most joyful fairy and bee ever??? I love them! I colored the Binkie and Buzz digi with my watercolor markers, and for my background I used watercolor paints. I inked a bit around the edges and wrote a simple, "bee yourself" for my sentiment. You will totally see these cuties on my blog again, because I just love them! Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Wednesday gals over on the blog. And be sure to play along! Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
