Greetings! It's time for the June Doodles Paper Playground Sparkle Blends Release Hop! There are 6 glorious new Sparkle Blends, and the Designer Divas are going to be sharing projects using them. Be sure to head over to the Doodles Paper Playground Blog to get all of the details on the new Sparkle Blends and the hop info. My card today uses the gorgeous and seriously magical Unicorn Dreams . I started off with a scrap piece of Rainbow Shattered Glass DecoFoil from Therm O Web. I had already applied it to a piece of cardstock with double sided sheet tape. I stamped my butterfly (from Stampendous' Cling Lilac stamp set) with StazOn Pigment ink in Piano Black and then used the coordinating die cut on it. Because the butterfly was all turquoise, Unicorn Dreams was really the perfect Blend for my shaker. Look at those fabulous colors in Unicorn Dreams! Hello! It's officially June and that means there are NEW Sparkle Blends! Six new Blends are getting released this month, and they are total stunners! I am sharing one of them with you today, and I can't wait for you to see the rest. My card today was inspired by the new Mermazing Sparkle Blend. I love the watery colors, the pearl-like beads, and of course the mermaid sequins! Here's a closer look at what's in this Blend. On top of my shaker window, I used an older stamp and die set from Stampendous . I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Markers. My sentiment is from Stampendous' Ocean Wisdom stamp set. Outside of my window, I lightly inked some Salty Ocean Distress Oxide to pull the colors in the shaker forward. The Mermazing Sparkle Blend has a lot of room to move, not only because of my large window, but also because I used 1/8" thick Foam Tape from Brutus Monroe . Hello! This week, the Stampendous team is sharing "Jungle Jive" projects. There are a lot of stamps that shout the jungle theme, and my card today uses the Wild Texture 6"x 6" stamp. I decided to go with rainbow fur, because I thought it would be a fun way to show off all the different styles of fur that are on this stamp. What do you think? Greetings! Today, I've got a new shaker card to share with you. I was inspired by some of the Windowrama stamps and dies from Stampendous. Specifically, the Elephant  stamp with the Giraffe dies. Those items helped me choose my Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground, which is Good Luck Charm . I started off by coloring the elephant with Memento Markers and die cutting him. For the top layer of my shaker, I used Memementos as well, but I also added the 6 x 6 Crackle Stamp with the Fresh Greens Kaleidacolor inks for some additional texture. Behind the shaker window, I used a piece of glossy cardstock that I applied alcohol ink from Ranger to some time ago. Since the alcohol ink was ponced on to the cardstock, it gives the illusion of a rain forest canopy. The Good Luck Charm Sparkle Blend has some really wonderful shades of green, gold, and silver that made the background pop. My card base is white, and I applied some brown textured cardstock on top, and rubbed Golden G...

Hello and Happy May! I'm kicking off the month with a new shaker card that uses an older (but still available) Sparkle Blend. I had these images from the Floaties stamp set from Stampendous colored and cut, they just needed to be put on a card. My daughter and I decided to make the card together, and she chose to use Ocean View . It was the perfect Sparkle Blend to represent water in a pool. As we started to make the card, we thought it would be fun to complete it while we did a Facebook Live. So if you'd like to see the process, please click HERE . Those Floaties crack me up! We chose a piece of patterned paper from Echo Park's Coffee paper pad. We thought it was perfect for our "pool." Our circular window was cut with a die from Elizabeth Crafts Designs. Hello! Today I have 2 more cards to share for the Stampendous and Arnold Grummer Collaboration. Those 2 wonderful companies are having a 2 week long blog hop in honor of  Earth Day. Here is my first card. I had originally made 4 sheets of handmade paper, and I used 3 of them on this card. The heart, it's shadow and the wings are all handmade paper. I think they make a lovely combination. I used the Wings Die Set from Stampendous for this. For my background, I used an older leaf and vine stencil, which was also from Stampendous, along with Worn Linen Nuvo Expanding Mousse. I decided that the card needed a bit more green, so I inked the edges of my background with Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Ink. Last, I added a simple silver embossed sentiment on vellum from the Brushed Wishes stamp set. I love that even though these handmade papers are very different, they worked really well together. I especially love the wings, which I added some of Stampendous' Twinkle Glit...

Hello! We're finally really feeling Spring in New York, and I am so happy about it. I'm not a fan of the cold at all, and seeing the flowers begin to pop out of the ground makes me feel so good. The beautiful weather we've been having really inspired my shaker card for today. Also, I've been really loving the rainbow backgrounds that Laura Bassen makes, so she also inspired me. I knew I wanted to make a shaker, so I began to play with different elements. First, I colored these chicks from the Simply Celebrate stamp set from Lawn Fawn, and I fussy cut them. I colored them with Zig Clean Color Markers, and the colors I used helped me to choose what Distress Oxides I would use for my background. These colors also helped me to choose which Sparkle Blend(s) from Doodles Paper Playground that I wanted to use, which turned out to be Easter Basket with a little bit of Springtime . Hello! This is an exciting post for me because I am part of a 2 week "Earth Day" blog hop between Stampendous and Arnold Grummer . If you have visited my blog before, you know how much I already love Stampendous. But Arnold Grummer was new to me. They make paper making supplies. This is something I have never done before. And truthfully, I was never interested in doing. I thought it was so much work to make one sheet of paper, it would take all day, etc. But, when I was asked if I wanted to be a part of this hop, I thought about it and decided that I love trying new crafts, so I should give it a shot. And guess what? I had a blast! My daughter (who is 10) and I decided to tackle this project together, and we came up with 4 beautiful sheets of paper in just over an hour.  I think that once we play with the process a little more, and organize the flow of our work space, we could probably make the sheets a little faster, but I was really happy with what we accomplished in a ...
