Molten Metal Jacks

Happy Halloween!Today I have a Halloween card, which I feel like I have seriously been missing out on this October. I began creating this card on a Facebook Live, where I shared how to do the Molten Metal Technique. I used the  Jack O Lanterns Stencil  for this technique. To see how it's done, please check out replay below. And here is the finished card... After I finished the Molten Metal Technique, I colored in the eyes and mouths of the Jacks with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Then I created a sky and ground with Chipped Sapphire, Frayed Burlap, and Black Soot Distress Ink. I dug through my scraps and found a cool piece of orange cardstock to stick behind my Jacks. Then I created my card base out of brown cardstock. I decide to mimic my Distress Ink background, so I tore a piece of deep blue cardstock, and dripped on some Sheer Shimmer Spritz in Frost for a touch of additional shine. Thanks to the cool technique on the Jack O Lanterns, I didn't re...

October Sparkle Blends Release Hop

Hello! This is my second post for today. My first post is for the Stampendous 31 Days of Halloween. You can check it out HERE . But first, please take a look at this project for the October Sparkle Blends Release Hop. I was very inspired by the Boughs of Holly Sparkle Blend. It's got beautiful shades of red and green, big holly leaves, glitter sequins, and confetti. It's got a magical feel and I knew I wanted to make a card to reflect that. I decided to color up the Unicorn Christmas stamp from Stampendous . I colored the unicorn with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and decided that the ornaments on the wreath would be the perfect place for additional sequins. After I fussy cut the unicorn, I attached 3 styles of sequins from the Boughs of Holly Sparkle Blend with On Point Glue from Imagine. I think they look perfect on the wreath. For the shaker area of my card, I sprayed my Houndstooth Stencil with Dylusions Ink Spray in Cut Grass  and placed it face down ...

White Rose Crafts Glory of Autumn Blog Hop

Hello! Today is my first official post for the White Rose Crafts LLC Design Team! I am so thrilled to be a part of this wonderful group of ladies, representing a fantastic online shop. This is Release Week over at WRC, and the newest subscription box, called "The Glory of Autumn" will be shipping shortly. In celebration of this new kit, the we are having a blog hop. I do not have the new subscription box, but I do have a lot of the "add-ons" that are available for purchase. To check all of these awesome items out, you can head over to the " October Subscription Kit Add Ons " section. You can get a 10% discount on these items when you use the code HAPPY FALL. Here's my card. I started off knowing that I wanted to use one of the beautiful Small Red Mulberry  Skeleton Leaves from the add-ons section. From there, I decided that the leaf should be framed in some way, so I applied VersaMark ink with a stencil brush to the border of the Thinking of You ...

Stampendous and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Collaboration

Hello! This week, the Stampendous Design Team is collaborating with the Design Team from Scrapbook Adhesives  by 3L .  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L is such a great company with great products. They generously supply the Stampendous Design team with 3D adhesive foam squares so we can pop up the elements on our cards and bring our projects to life. We have also gotten some fun foiling kits (called the 3D Foam Creative Embellishment Kit , which is something that I used on my card today. I decided to use some of the wonderful foam squares and sheets from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to make a shaker card. Also, as I mentioned earlier, I really love the foiling kit, so I wanted to think of a fun way to use that. I decided to break out the Christmas Bright Stamp and Die Set , though for this card, I only used some of the dies. I die cut the "merry" with the foam sheet that comes in the 3D Foam Creative Embellishment Kit and then lightly pressed the red foil into the die cut. I ma...

Beth Duff Designs Fall Release

Hello! Today I am a part of the Beth Duff Designs Fall Release Blog Hop. There are many new sets available, and I will be featuring the Bless Our Nest stamp set. I really love the sentiment, "Home is wherever we are together" that comes in this stamp set. It's just lovely. I knew I wanted to start there with my card design. I also thought the bird houses were sweet, and that it would be fun to have a colorful row of them. The images were all stamped with VersaFine Clair Ink in Nocturne, and colored with Zig Clean Color Markers. I wanted to add a subtle background, so I used the Herringbone Metal Stencil from Stampendous (It's a favorite of mine) with some Antique Linen Distress Ink. I went heavy with the ink in some spots, and lighter in others. It gives the background a softer look that I love. I also added a few sequins from Doodles Paper Playground with some On Point Glue. It gave it just the little bit of shine that the card needed. Below I have the ...

Shake 'N Bake

Hello! Today I have a new shaker card to share with you that I made for my sister's birthday. First, she loves to bake. Second, she loves pink and green. She also loves shaker cards and pretty much all things Lawn Fawn. Knowing all this, I had a fun challenge on my hands. The Flamingo Tropic Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground was an absolutely perfect choice for this card because of the colors. I started off with the adorable oven from Lawn Fawn's Sprinkled with Joy stamp set and I colored it with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I fussy cut the oven, although I do have the coordinating dies. But for this card, I didn't want the white border around the image. I also used an X-Acto Knife to cut out the window for the oven. I colored a piece of scrap cardstock to go behind my shaker window to look like the interior of the oven. After I completed my shaker (seriously, how perfect is Flamingo Tropic with this color combo?!, I moved on to my background...

Pink Poinsettia

Hello! This week, the Stampendous team has been having a Poinsettia Party! I decided to work with the new Poinsettia Parts Perfectly Clear stamp set. I stamped the poinsettia outline with VersaFine ink on to Smooth Bristol Paper and I colored it with Zig Clean Color Markers. I fussy cut it out and then decided to stamp the flower again to use some of the petals as leaves. Then I decided to break out one of my all-time favorite stencils, the Houndstooth . I applied VersaMark ink with a sponge dauber, making sure to not apply it perfectly even, and then I applied Vintage Plum Sparkly Embossing Powder and heat set it. I like that's it is just a little messy and worn looking against the super clean and graphic poinsettia. I added a few clear sequins and a simple sentiment from the Deck Your Home Perfectly Clear Stamp Set. I also inked the edges of my card base to add just a bit more pink. That's it for me today. Tomorrow, I'll be at a Scrapbook Expo in NJ and I...

Bubblegum Ice Sparkle Blend

Hello! Today I bring to you a card that features one of the newest Sparkle Blends from Doodles Paper Playground . It's called Bubblegum Ice and it is exquisite! Shades of pink, white and blue in varying forms of sparkly bits are and absolute delight to see. The name perfectly describes this color palette. And, this Blend is what inspired my chosen colors for my card. I stamped out an adorable sloth from an older  Kraftin Kimmie  set. I'm sorry, I couldn't find it on her website, so it must not be available any longer. I colored this guy with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens, making sure that the flowers coordinated with the Bubblegum Ice Sparkle Blend. I made sure to use a good mix of the varying types of sequins when choosing which bits I wanted to use. A little bit of glitter, a lot of holographic, etc. I really love this blend! For my background, I used Dreamweaver Stencils' (via Stampendous ) Picasso Tool to create the clouds with Pearlescent Sky Blue ...

Masking with Sugar Skulls

Hello! Today I am sharing a few cards with you that all feature the Sugar Skulls stamp and die set from Stampendous. I recently started doing "live" videos on my personal Facebook page, and I decided to teach my friends how to use "masking" on cards. I decided to post the video to my YouTube Channel. Please click HERE if you'd like to check it out. This Sugar Skull stamp is perfect because it has such clean lines. I used VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne for all of my stamping, and all of the coloring was done with Memento Markers, both from Imagine. On this first card, I also used a sentiment from Andy Skinner's set " Unexplained ," as well as a few sequins from Doodles Paper Playground 's Flower Power Sparkle Blend. The next card adds stenciling, and I used the Design I Beam, which makes for a graphic background against the organic style of the skull and roses. I used Desert Sand Memento Ink for the stenciling.          I wish I...

I Want Pizza. But First, Coffee

Hello! I'm back with not only a new shaker card featuring another fabulous Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground , but the card also has new stamps from Beth Duff Designs . Did you check out my post yesterday? You'll see my first card featuring the "Better Together" set. My card today uses the adorable pizza image and coordinating sentiment. I thought this was perfect to use with the " But First, Coffee " Sparkle Blend. Check out the beautiful chocolate browns of this particular Sparkle Blend, along with some lovely iridescence. I thought it mimicked toppings on a pizza nicely. I used a leftover die cut from Lawn Fawn to make the shaker, and it was the perfect size. This die is from the Magic Color Slider set. My background was done with the Small Cathedral Windows stencil and VersaColor ink in White. I also spritzed on Tuxedo Black and Desert Sand Fireworks! Spray , and I finished off the edge of the card base with Champagne Delicata ink. ...

Catnap Christmas Q-Set

Hello! Have you heard about the new Qsets from Stampendous? I'm going to share some information about them with you today. Qsets are a new kind of cling rubber stamp. They don't have the picture printed on them. Rather, the picture of the image is printed on the acetate sheet the stamps are attached to for storing. There are coordinating dies, but they are a limited quantity. The stamps are all made in the USA, and you'll find lots of fun Christmas and Halloween stamps to choose from! HERE is a video explaining the Qsets even further. Here's my card, featuring the Catnap Christmas Stamps and Dies . I colored this kitty with Memento Markers. I used the coordinating die to cut him out, and then I created my background. I cut down a piece of white cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4." I applied some Twisted Citron and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide ink to my craft mat and sprayed it with water. I dragged the piece of cardstock through it, heat set it and reinked it a few ti...
