Gothic Ballerina

Greetings! It's Friday, so I have a new project featuring an image from A Day for Daisies . I used Magical Poppy Dancer to create a gothic card. I colored her with my Tombow Dual Brush Markers, and then I tore the paper surrounding her. Then I inked the edges with Black Shimmer Delicata Ink from Imagine Crafts . The background was created with a fabulous embossing folder from Sizzix. After it was embossed, I inked the raised areas with the same Black Shimmer ink. I love how metallic it is. You can really see it here. I inked my card base with Grape Jelly Memento ink, and I created a little sentiment with some leftover black cardstock. I wrote "danse macabre" with a Signal White Molotow pen. I love these pens. Best white pens I've ever used!!! I crumpled the paper up and inked it with Black Shimmer as well. I added just a little bit of washi tape that has some spider webs to the upper left corner. The card just needed a little something more. I hope y...

Day 1 of the Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween!!!

Mwahahahahaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!! It's finally here! The Smeared Ink 31 Days of Halloween! This is the 7th year! I can't believe it. I am super stoked to kick things off this year, so let's get to it! For my first project, I made a card that features the super rad Skeleton Lady stamp from Stampendous. The focal image is all one stamp. I love the collaged look that it has. You can click on my photos to see them bigger. I am really excited about this year of 31 Days, because I am now on the Stampendous Design Team. I love to represent them! Plus, the Stampendous blog is taking part in posting this year, so you will get to see what my fellow teamies are making too. My image here was colored with Tombow watercolor markers, and I spritzed it with irRESISTables from Tsuineko. Here's a close up. For my background, I did a couple of things. For the black layer, that's actually Coredinations cardstock. I used the Dreamweaver Rain Stencil  and ran it through my Sizzix Big...

Day 3 of 31- Bats in the Window with Dreamweaver Stencils

Greetings, Halloween freaks (I mean that in the most loving way)! It's Day 3 of the Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween. Full details about this wonderfully macabre month, are on Terra's blog, which is the 1st stop in the hop. The full blog roll is in my sidebar. Today's offering is very exciting for me, as it is the first of my 2nd stint as a Guest Designer for Dreamweaver Stencils ! I love, love, love working with this wonderful group of ladies, and I hope to one day be a full team member. Hop on board the Dream Team train as we journey through all things "Mysterious & Magical" through the month of October. So if you have any Dreamweaver Stencils, then you should really play along! What a fun challenge it is! For today's project, I made a 6x6 mini page with 3 stencils. I used the gorgeous Damask stencil (which is a favorite of mine), the Arched Window ,  and the Bats .  I started off by embossing the window into dark blue aluminum, from Dr...

Cherry Blossoms

I made something different today. Very different for me. I made….dum dum duuuuummmmmm…a clean and simple card! I know! Me??? Well, I did it! And it’s…pretty! I saw the latest challenge for Dreamweavers Stencils (which is CAS), and I needed to play along. I just had to. I was up for a good challenge. And, I had a beautiful cherry blossom stencil that has been calling my name! So, here’s what I created! Yes, I really did make this! Seriously, how pretty is this stencil? I dry embossed the image on a pretty, beige colored textured cardstock from Prism. I tore the bottom edge. Then I pulled out a measly 3 Copics and colored the image in very soft tones. If you click on the image above, you can see it better, and you will probably see the colors better too. I rounded the top corners of my focal point, and added 3 little pearls. Last, I drew in a thin line around the border using 2 of the 3 Copics I used for the cherry blossom. Clean and simple! It was a challenge, but I did it!!!...
