Tiny Nativity Tag

Hello! This week, the Stampendous Design Team is focusing on "The Reason for the Season." I wanted to share a tag I with perhaps the sweetest little nativity stamp ever. This was a very quick tag to create, using only 3 colors of Distress Oxide inks for color. But the effect created is sweet and serene...just perfect for this stamp. Soap Bottle

Hello! I love making (and receiving!) hand made gifts, and of course this is the perfect time of year for that. I decided to decorate a plain foaming soap bottle. Truth be told, I didn't make this as a gift. It was for my house, but I may just get a few more of these soap bottles and make them as gifts for people. To take it a step further, you can easily make your own foaming soap and add it to the bottle before giving it as a gift. It's perfect for a housewarming present! I bought this foaming soap bottle for about $6, and I knew right away that I wanted to use StazOn Studio Glaze to decorate it. So I washed the bottle down and chose my colors to go with my bathroom. I turned my bottle upside down and squirted on lines of Claret Studio Glaze, allowing it to have a nice big drip at the bottom. I varied the lengths of the lines, and kept plenty of room in between them to add the other colors. I worked on a scrap piece of cardboard, so that I could easily turn the bo

Santa On His Way

Ho ho ho! It's getting close to the time when Santa comes for a visit, and this week, the Stampendous Design Team is focusing on just that. Our theme for the week is "Santa Claus is Coming to Town." My card for today features the Santa's On His Way stamp, which has a wonderful vintage feel. I need to apologize, for some reason, I only have 1 photo of this card. The snow in the background is chock full of Multi-Crystal Glitter Mix, but you'll have to take my word for it. Below are the instructions on how to recreate this card. Kids Craft: A Christmas Card

Seasons Greetings! This month, the Imagine AIR's are sharing Kids Craft projects. This is totally up my alley because my children and I make crafts together all the time. So my daughter and I put on our thinking caps, and came up with this sweet Christmas Lights card. She and I are going to walk you through the whole process, which actually is pretty easy! I cut a piece of white cardstock down to 5 1/4" x 3 3/4" and let my daughter (Miss R) create the "string" for the lights with a Cottage Ivy Memento Marker. She drew just one across the top. And you can see her chosen colors for the "lights" in the photo. Using her index finger, Miss R first dipped into Lady Bug Memento Ink and stamped it a couple of times on the light string. Next she used a different finger in Dandelion ink. We made sure to flip the cardstock over so that her lights were going in several directions. She then used Tangelo, Cottage Ivy, Bahama Blue, Grape Jelly, and Ros

Pink Your Christmas

Hello! This week, the Stampendous Design Team is sharing Christmas projects featuring stamps from the Pink Your Life collection. I used the Whisper Friends Gift Wrapping  stamp for my card. I stamped her with VersaFine ink in Onyx Black, and colored her in with Tombow Dual Brush Markers. I used a couple of Fitted Frames to die cut the colored image, as well as a mat. The background of the card was super easy to make. I used the Fruitcake Kaleidacolor ink pad from Imagine . I simply rolled the colors on to my brayer, spritzed the brayer with some Ink Potion No. 9 , (this helps the ink to move better and to blend) and then I rolled it on to my Mixed Media White Paper from Stampendous. Once it dried, I added my colored image and mat to the layer. My card base is red, and I added a line of Imagine's Tear It! Tape to the lower portion of the card, and added my all-time favorite glitter- Multi Crystal Glitter Mix . It's gorgeous. I also added a little sentiment from the Holid

Blossom Breeze

Hello! I have been really enjoying playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenges (they have such an INCREDIBLE Design Team!), and this week was no different. The challenge is " All Creatures Great and Small ." So I decided to use a House Mouse stamp. Because of that, I am also entering it into this week's House Mouse & Friends Challenge . I'll be using it for the "Anything Goes" side of their challenge. This is Blossom Breeze , and I colored it with my Zig Clean Color Markers on Canson Mixed Media Paper. It's been pretty bluster on Long Island this past week, so I thought this was a great stamp to use. Because there is a lot happening within the image, I kept the rest of my card simple. I used some shades of blue and a little green cardstock from My Colors, and added a stripe of Tear It! Tape from Imagine down the side and coated it with Burgundy Glitter . That's it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an ins

I Love You S'More

Hello! For November, the Imagine Color of the Month is Cocoa. Yum! The color is rich and smooth, and immediately I think of how delicious chocolate can be. So I decided to make a card with food imagery. More specifically, S'mores. I used Lawn Fawn's Love You S'more stamps and Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa for almost all of my stamping. I like to use this color as a soft substitute for black. The S'mores were colored in with only a couple of Memento Markers. I used Lady Bug for the hearts and added a bit of White Gelly Roll for some faux shine. There's a curved line in the Love You S'more set, and that's what I used on the sides. They were stamped with Delicata Ink in Dark brown Shimmer. I thought they made a fun border. I also inked my edges a bit to ground the card a bit. This card came together really quickly, which is great because sometimes you just need to put a fast card together. It's also really nice to step away from black and use
