Froyo Fixes Everything

A post on a Saturday? Sure why not? And what's even better? This post is just for me. No DT stuff, no challenges, just a little sumpin' sumpin' because I felt like it. Ahhhh....I needed that. Think I'll need to do it again soon. But first! Lemme show ya what I got! I finally got my hands on some Sweet Stamp Shop stamps, and I lurve them! This little number above features some images from the new Froyo & Friends  set. It's so stinkin' cute! A lot of their stamps were originally intended for planners, but I'm not a stamp-in-you-planner type of girl. Yet. I have a feeling that I will be soon. But back to my card..... I colored the froyo with my Memento Markers by Imagine Crafts . I die cut around it with one of Stampendous ' Fitted Frames , and then I inked the edges with Angel Pink Memento ink. I stamped the sentiments on to red cardstock with VersaMark ink, and then I used Detail White Embossing Powder for some texture and shine. I used a

Gothic Ballerina

Greetings! It's Friday, so I have a new project featuring an image from A Day for Daisies . I used Magical Poppy Dancer to create a gothic card. I colored her with my Tombow Dual Brush Markers, and then I tore the paper surrounding her. Then I inked the edges with Black Shimmer Delicata Ink from Imagine Crafts . The background was created with a fabulous embossing folder from Sizzix. After it was embossed, I inked the raised areas with the same Black Shimmer ink. I love how metallic it is. You can really see it here. I inked my card base with Grape Jelly Memento ink, and I created a little sentiment with some leftover black cardstock. I wrote "danse macabre" with a Signal White Molotow pen. I love these pens. Best white pens I've ever used!!! I crumpled the paper up and inked it with Black Shimmer as well. I added just a little bit of washi tape that has some spider webs to the upper left corner. The card just needed a little something more. I hope y

Sea Creatures with Wicked Wednesday

Hello! I am so excited to bring you my latest ATC for Wicked Wednesday . This week, we are sponsored by a new (to me) digi stamp company called Digistampatelier . These digis are so cool...and many of them are just...haunting. I love them. Our theme this week is "Sea Creaures," and I decided to work with Mermaid and Fish . Seriously. Love. This. Image. And truth be told, I'm kinda over the whole mermaid thing. I love 'em, but there just seems to be so many out there. But this little beauty takes my breath away. And I loved coloring her. I used my Tombow Recycled pencils, and I went for some unusual colors for her skin, to make her a little bit more "fishy." I used some Stampendous Mica Flakes and green fibrous paper behind her. I added some foam squares to her so that she would be raised up. I also sprinkled some assorted embossing powders from Stampendous in the top corner. My paper already had all of those cool, washed out colors, and it work

Delicata Goes Spooky

When I first heard that Imagine was going to have a new black Delicata ink, I couldn’t have been more excited. I love anything that shimmers—and I love black. What can I say? Goth girl right here! My style tends to go toward the creepy end of things, so I decided to showcase the new Black Shimmer in that way. Skill : Intermediate Time : 45 minutes + drying time Directions:  Step 1:  Tape the stencil to cream colored cardstock. Using the Picasso Shield, block off part of the ball, where the claws would be. Ink up a stencil brush by rotating it gently on Black Shimmer Delicata. Use the same circular motion to apply the ink to the stencil. Step 2:  Once you finish inking the crow (I gave it 2 coats), use Dark Brown Shimmer Delicata ink in the same way to ink up the weather vane and the ball that the raven is standing on. I used a smaller stencil brush for this part. Flip your Picasso Shield so that you don’t ink on to it’s claws. Wipe down your stencil brush again and apply j

Using Vellum with A Day for Daisies

Hello! It's time for a new challenge with the A Day for Daises team. For the next 2 week,s we are asking you to "Use Vellum." The images we are showcasing are from the Magical Dancers collection. I am sharing Magical Bloom Dancer . I used Copics to color her in, and I went a little gothic with her. Her skin is actually grey. Her dress is showing as a little more yellow than the lime that it is in real life, but you get the idea. I used a fun bead mix around the image's border for some texture. For my vellum, I was happy to have lime...which really matches her dress perfectly, and I stamped it with a sheet music stamp ( Mixed Media Cling Rubber Musical Motif ) from Stampendous , and I embossed it with Detail Black Embossing Powder . I also added some beautiful sheer ribbon from May Arts in a deep orange to go with the color of the poppies on the sweet dancer. The ink I used around the edges is Tuxedo Black Memento from Imagine Crafts. That's it for me

Inspired by Pinterest with Wicked Wednesday

Hello! It's time for a new Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge, and this is a GREAT one! So I am guessing that many of you are fans of Pinterest? Of course you are! So how many of you Pin inspirational photos, to try and make something based off of it later, but you never do? Well, this challenge is totally for you, then! I'm sorta guilty...but I try to make things from my boards from time to time. The theme is "Inspired by Pinterest." And, we are sponsored by Nikki Burnette ...I love her images. You can find my inspiration Pin HERE . I colored Nikki's Taryn image with Memento Markers from Imagine Crafts , and I cut her out. For my background, I finger painted with 2 Dylusions paints and blended them together to get orange in the middle. I love to finger paint! Next, using Tuxedo Black and Wedding Dress irRESISTables Pico Embellishers, I drew in the clouds and grass. After I glued the image down, I drew the border around it. I was trying to emulate not only

Take Two for the May ADfD Club Kit

Greetings! I am sharing a new card featuring one of the lovely new images from A Day for Daises today. She's part of the May Club Kit, and is called Little Dancer Daisy . I went along with our current challenge theme which is, "Paint it Up!" I used a couple of Copics to color her hair, skin, pants, and flowers, and I water colored her dress. I used a circle cutter to trim her out. For the water she is dancing in, I sprayed Bahama Blue Fireworks! , Original Goosebumps , and Wedding Dress irRESISTables ...all from Imagine Crafts . Then I unscrewed the sprayer from my Denim Memories Mist and drew the water ripples with the straw end after the other layers of spray had dried. You can see the texture and shine of the "water" in the photo above. Last, I die cut my sentiment, which is from the Stampendous Spring Sentiments set, with a Fitted Frame (also from Stampendous). I used foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives to pop them up. I'd like to note

Back to School Layout

Hello! I am really excited to share a layout that I made using Bo Bunny and Imagine Crafts products. Imagine Crafts is doing a fun collaboration with Bo Bunny this week, and I am really happy to be playing along. The paper I was given from was just begging to be used for a Back to School Layout, so that's just what I did. I used a photo from my kids' first day of school for the 2014-2015 year. I fell in love with the Toy Box   papers I was sent. It's so bright and cheery. I decided to do a bit of embellishing on the main paper, which is called Toy Box Circles. I chose some random circles and used the Goosebumps Dauber on them. I just pressed the dauber top directly on the circles to give a nice texture and sheen to some of them. After the Goosebumps dried, I outlined the outer circle with Tuxedo Black irRESISTables Pico Embellisher. Then, I fussy cut one strip f crayons (Toy Box Colors paper) for the side of my layout.  I cut out one of the squares from th

Circus Act with Wicked Wednesday

Hello! It's time for a new Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge. This week, we are sponsored by Ppinky Dolls and the theme is "Circus Act." I used Clown Dance for my ATC. She was colored in with my Faber-Castell Pastel Pencils . My background was spritzed and sprayed with a variety of mists, including Wedding Dress irRESISTables from Imagine Crafts , and Memory Mists in Pink Lemonade. Around the edge, I created faux stitching with irRESISTables Pico Embellisher in Wedding Dress, also from Imagine Crafts. I love the dimension of the irRESISTables. I hope you liked my latest ATC. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Wednesday gals over on the Blog to see more creations with Ppinky Dolls. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Paint it Up with A Day for Daisies

Hello! It's time for a new   Day for Daises challenge. Plus, the Design Team and I are showing off the new May Club Kit images. They are just darling! The challenge for the next 2 weeks is "Paint it Up," which is fabulous...I love adding paint to my projects. I used Little Dancer Flower for my card today. I colored her with my Tombow Dual Brush markers and I fussy cut her out. Using watercolor paper, I spritzed some water on it and then sprinkled some Color Burst on the wet paper. I played around with it a bit to get the results that I wanted, and I love how it winds up looking very painterly without actually being "painted." After the watercolor paper dried, I used a border punch on one side. I made a card from pale yellow cardstock, and wrote "dance" on the side with a PITT pen. Please be sure to visit the rest of the A Day for Daises team over on the Blog . Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Fruits and Veggies with Wicked Wednesday

Hello! It's time for a new Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge. This week, we are sponsored by A Day for Daises , so you know I am a happy girl since I love Tammy's images so so much. The theme this week is "Fruits and Veggies." I used Canned Pear  for my ATC. I colored the image with my Tombow Dual Brush markers. I fussy cut it out, and added it to some cool striped paper that pulled out the colors that I used to color the image. I added that to some yellow cardstock, and I inked the edges. I also added some Divine Twine from Whisker Graphics , who, coincidentally the Stampendous team is doing a hop with this week. You'll see a project from me for that on Thursday.  I love how citrusy this ATC came out. I don't usually use this combination of colors, but I love how refreshing it is. And that twine was really perfect for it too. Please check out all of the other "yummy" ATC's that the rest of the team has created by visiting the Wicked We
