Vintage Peacock

Hello! This is going to be a very exciting week over at Stampendous. The Design Team will be sharing projects featuring some of the newest stamps and stencils from the October catalog. I fell in love with this majestic Vintage Peacock, so I wanted to share it with you. R285: Vintage Peacock
MEM01: Memento Ink in Onyx Black

Other:
Zig Clean Color Markers: 032, 041, 043, 044, 050, 052, 065, 068, 070, 075, 080, 083, 092, 093, 0098, 303, 400
Graphic 45: Versailles Cardstock #4501131
Creative Impressions Ribbon: Lilac Blank Twill #80513
Imagine: VersaFine Ink in Lagoon Blue
Beacon Adhesives: Zip Dry Glue
Ranger: Water Brush
Canson: Mixed Media Paper

Directions:
1. Stamp image on to Mixed Media Paper using Memento Ink. Color using the colors listed above. Utilize the water brush in areas that you'd like the colors to be a bit more washed out, like the sky and the ground.

2. Cut the card base from Versailles cardstock to the size of 5 1/2" x 8." Ink the edges with Blue Lagoon VersaFine ink.

3. Cut a piece of Lilac Blank Twill to fit across the bottom and glue with Zip Dry.

4. Adhere the focal image with Zip Dry.

Christmas in July with Imagine Crafts & Stencil Girl!

Hello! Have you heard? The Imagine AIRs have been hopping with Stencil Girl! If you have been here before, you know I loooove me some stencils, so this collaboration was very exciting for me! The teams are hopping for 3 consecutive Saturdays, and this is week 2. I have the entire list of hop links at the bottom of the post. Be sure you don't miss anyone! I decided to to create an extra large gift tag with my new stencils. Using red cardstock, I taped down the Journal Texture #8 Stencil  and inked it up with Golden Glitz Delicata ink . I promise you, this is the BEST gold ink you will ever use! The Journal stamp only has 2 diamonds on it (it's a 4x4" stencil), so after I inked up the first pair, I moved over the stencil, lined it up, and inked again. Next I wanted to do something textural with the Urban Insiders Star . So I took some evergreen cardstock, taped down the star, and slathered on some yummy Iridescent Green Creative Medium .
