Day 22 of 31: Technicolor Halloween

Hello! It's day 22 of the Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween. Today, my project aligns with the Stampendous theme of the week. We are sharing various awesome projects using Nathalie Kalbach's fun and funky stamps. I decided to combine her stamps, with some Dreamweaver stencils, and Amplify from Imagine Crafts.

This was all really about playing for me. Playing with the stamps, the neon colors, the paint itself, and of course, my stencils. I started off with one spritzing my watercolor paper background, and then using one of the stamps from Nathalie's Wired set. Then I really started to play.

I used a couple of the images from Nathailie's Grunge set. I took out my Creative Palette and squirted some Radiant Purple and Radiant Green Amplify on to it. Then, I swirled the 2 together with my palette knife. Dipping the stamp in, I placed it in a few spots around my base. Then, I used my embossing gun to heat it up in order to create that fantastic puffed look that Amplify is known for. Next I added my stencils. First was the spider and next was the bats. I applied the Amplify in a similar fashion as I would with Embossing Paste. You need to be really careful though, since Amplify is much thinner than the paste.

After I finished stenciling and stamping, I wrote out my title and puffed it up. A little spritz of purple Memories Mist here and there, and that was it. It was fun! Make sure you check out the rest of the Wicked Bloggers, they're all listed in my side bar. Thanks for stopping by. Have an spooktacular day!

Holiday Spirit: Aurora Wings Challenge #73

Seasons Greetings! Today I have a project for the latest Aurora Wings Challenge which is "Holiday Spirit." I decided to take the theme as a two-fer. Not only is this a holiday card, but the "spirits" are flowing too.

I used the Wine Sprite for my card, and gave her a Merlot look. I colored her with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Here's a closeup.

I found a lovely paper in my stash from Wild Rose Studio from their Holly Lane collection. For my sentiment, I had some pretty red glitter cardstock from DCWV that I die cut with an old alphabet set from QuicKutz. I also added some sequins from a few different Sparkle Blends from Doodles Paper Playground. The sequins and the sentiment were all glued on with On Point Glue from Imagine.

On my card base, I inked the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink, and then Peeled Paint Distress Ink. After I adhered my background to my base, I added Rock Candy Stickles to the edges. This gave just a touch of sparkle.
