Welcome back! Today I have a non-paper craft. Hooray! I really haven't been able to do much beyond cards this year...and with the remaining month I am going to attempt to squeeze in a few more non-card projects. I needed a new wreath for my front door, and when I was at Michaels recently, I fell in love with these Nightmare Before Christmas-like swirly stems. I just had to have them, and a wreath was a good place to use them, I thought.
How cool are those spirals? They are squishy and totally pose-able. I also found some great black leaves with purple glitter, brown glitter spiky things, and some feathered stems with black glittered spheres. I also found a great styrofoam skull. I chopped off the back of it so it laid on the wreath better.
For my stamped piece, I had a little wood tombstone that I painted with shades of gray, then I stamped one of Andy Skinner's Industrial stamps (I used Scratch), and then a couple of Inkadinkado stamps and I heat embossed them.
Then I simply tucked it in by the skull for a finishing touch. Ta-da! I completed wreath. Brings me back to my days as a floral designer. I did that for a number of years. Anywho....
That's it for me today. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers, all listed in my side bar. Thanks for stopping by. Have a spooktacular day!
