A Pillow Book is a diary of sorts. It doesn't just talk about the day's events, but contains lists, observations, conversations, musings, anything the writer feels like writing about really. 21st Century is because this is a modern pillow book, since it's done on a computer.
This is me. This is what my life is all about. I will let you into my head a bit... feel what I'm feeling, see what I'm creating, understand what I'm learning. Enjoy my journey right along with me!

Day 24 of 31: Reverse Metal Bats with Dreamweaver Stencils
Greetings! Today is Day 24 of the Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween. Since it's Thursday, I have a new project to go along with this month's challenge over at the Dream it up! Blog for Dreamweaver Stencils. This month's challenge is Magical and Mysterious, and I am the lucky gal the gets to be their Guest Designer for the month! I am thankful that there are 5 Thursdays this month!
You may recall that on the 3rd of the month, I shared a project with bats in a window. Well today, I have the reverse version. You'll see what I mean...
This window pane was actually the first one that I did. But I decided to complete the other version first. With this window (Arched Window), I had the blue of the aluminum facing in towards the stencil. so that the panes would be raised. Once sanded, the panes became silver (the under color). Next, I stenciled in the Bats with a Sharpie. I moved them around so that they would fit to my liking.
After I cut the window out, I applied the Damask stencil with White Embossing Paste to a lovely silver cardstock. Once that dried, I started to apply all of my elements, but in the opposite colors that I had done on the original piece.
Because of the sheen on the metallic cardstock, I applied my "Boo" stamp (Recollections) with StazOn. Would you like to see the 2 Mini Pages side by side in my album?
Here they are! Sorry they look a little crooked. Which do you like better? I think the original is a bit more dramatic, but I like them both. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers, listed in my side bar. And of course, there's also the Dream it up! team, listed below. Thanks for stopping by. Have a fang-tastic day!
