Day 2 of 12 Days of Creepmas, and Muse Monday, December Edition

Hello! I have 2 holiday projects today. One is for Bombshell Stamps' Muse Monday, and the other is for the Smeared & Smudged 12 Days of Creepmas. First, I am going to tell you about the December Muse Monday. What's Muse Monday, you ask? Well, each month I pick a stamp set that I want the Design Team to work with. Each Monday of the month, different Design Team members show off that set in their own unique style. Our goal is to give you some fresh ideas, and to inspire you to use these sets as well! This month, I went with Pin-Stripes. I adore this set. I use it pretty frequently.

It's a glitter-iffic ornament! The ornament started as a clear, plastic cube. I coated the inside with floor wax, and then a coat of clear glitter. Next I inked up my stamps using a glue pad, and stamped the left image. Added the glitter. Stamped the right image. More with the glitter. Then I did the center, and I bet you can figure out what I did next....more glitter! I added a pretty tinsel ribbon, and voila! It's ready for my mom's Victorian/Steampunk tree.

I had just re"inked" my glue pad...and it was still pretty wet. I probably should have used some patience and waited, because there was a bit too much glue on my stamps. But, now I know for next time! And there are 3 other sides I can do, right? Now...on to my Creepmas project.

I recently acquired some Stampotique images that I have been coveting for years. Years, I tell you. Well, I finally have a few in my arsenal, and I just couldn't wait to use them!

This is Prom Queen, and I love her. I get her. That look on her face...those clothes. She and I understand each other pretty well. She's frequently just saying "Ugh" to me out of sheer disgust for all the happy-happy-joy-joy that happens this time of year. You get it too, right? Don't tell me I'm the only crazy one that "hears" what my stamps are saying............................................

I colored her with watercolors. And I had a lot of fun playing with the background and the layers of this card. I used pens, paint, ink...if I had more time, I would have really gone hog wild...but I am happy with the end result.
Ready to see more? Then visit all of the Jolly Bloggers, listed on my sidebar. And don't forget to check out the Bombshell Blog for Muse Monday each week. Thanks for stopping by. Have an creep-tastic day!

***I am entering my ornament into this week's Smudgy Antics Challenge, which is to alter something. I am entering my card into the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge.

Fab projects! Never heard to use floorwax and haven't seen the cube shaped. Will have to hunt for those :) Love your Creepmas card, I adore stampotique and your prom queen is fab in her red and green even if she doesn't want to be wearing those colors.

February Smeared & Smudged Sketch Challenge

The new Smeared & Smudged challenges are up and ready for you to participate in! I got instantly inspired by Kelli’s card sketch for the month, as I have been working with different ideas for my next “Tarot Card.” Haha! That’s actually pretty funny! If you’ve been checking in over the past couple of weeks, you may have seen my Misty Benson Tarot Set 1 ( Smeared Ink ) cards. I’ve used The World and The Fool so far. Today, I bring you Death. Don’t worry…it’s actually a joyful image…one that I intend to use a lot! First, here’s the sketch. I flipped it and changed the ribbon and embellishment a bit. Can I just start off by saying that it is quite nerve wracking to slice your image??? I have done it a few times in the past, but I always get butterflies when I attempt it again. I colored the image and the card itself using nothing but Distress Inks and my Cut-n-Dry Nibs. My skull button at the top has been colored with Alcohol Inks.   The colors look a little off to m

Christmas in July with Imagine Crafts & Stencil Girl!

Hello! Have you heard? The Imagine AIRs have been hopping with Stencil Girl! If you have been here before, you know I loooove me some stencils, so this collaboration was very exciting for me! The teams are hopping for 3 consecutive Saturdays, and this is week 2. I have the entire list of hop links at the bottom of the post. Be sure you don't miss anyone! I decided to to create an extra large gift tag with my new stencils. Using red cardstock, I taped down the Journal Texture #8 Stencil  and inked it up with Golden Glitz Delicata ink . I promise you, this is the BEST gold ink you will ever use! The Journal stamp only has 2 diamonds on it (it's a 4x4" stencil), so after I inked up the first pair, I moved over the stencil, lined it up, and inked again. Next I wanted to do something textural with the Urban Insiders Star . So I took some evergreen cardstock, taped down the star, and slathered on some yummy Iridescent Green Creative Medium . After the medium dried, I ga
