Beth Duff Designs Fall Release

Hello! Today I am a part of the Beth Duff Designs Fall Release Blog Hop. There are many new sets available, and I will be featuring the Bless Our Nest stamp set. I really love the sentiment, "Home is wherever we are together" that comes in this stamp set. It's just lovely. I knew I wanted to start there with my card design. I also thought the bird houses were sweet, and that it would be fun to have a colorful row of them. The images were all stamped with VersaFine Clair Ink in Nocturne, and colored with Zig Clean Color Markers. I wanted to add a subtle background, so I used the Herringbone Metal Stencil from Stampendous (It's a favorite of mine) with some Antique Linen Distress Ink. I went heavy with the ink in some spots, and lighter in others. It gives the background a softer look that I love. I also added a few sequins from Doodles Paper Playground with some On Point Glue. It gave it just the little bit of shine that the card needed. Below I have the ...

Anthropomorpism with Wicked Wednesday

Hello! It's Wednesday, so it's time for a new Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge. This week, the challenge is "Anthropomorpism." We are sponsored by Miezo Digi Stamps . I used the Tree in Summer digi. He's colored with Tombow Dual Brush Markers. I gave him a loose fussy cut, because it would have been uber tough for me to do all of those little leaves. For my background, I used a really old wood grain stamp (I love this one!) with the Cappuccino Kaleidacolor ink pad by Imagine. This pad makes it so simple to get lots of colors on to one stamp in one easy step. Then, I sprinkled on some Shabby Green embossing powder from Stampendous around the edges and heated it from underneath. Please be sure to visit the Wicked Wednesday team over on the blog for more! Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Cowboys and Cowgirls with Wicked Wednesday

Greetings! We at Wicked Wednesday are challenging you to make an ATC featuring a "cowgirl or cowboy." We are sponsored by Crafty Sentiments . I used Mia-Howdy for mine ATC. I cropped her down so that I could focus in on her upper half. I colored her with my Tombow watercolor markers and I gave her Liquid Pearl earrings. I had some cute paper that resembled the print on bandannas, so I thought it worked well with her. I added a couple of cute buttons for some more shine and dimension. How about you mosey on over to see what the other Wicked Wednesday gals created this week. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Day 12 of 12 Days of Creepmas! Poe Ho Ho

Greetings! Welcome to Day 12 of the Smeared and Smudged 12 Days of Creepmas! Can you believe that this is it? Well, I won't keep you waiting...here's my project. I had been wanting to do some sort of Santa Poe throughout this whole celebration....so I saved him for last! I used Poe from Smeared Ink's Quoth the Raven (one of my all time favorite sets from SI), as well as the fantastic wings. The hat I drew myself (rather quickly)...and shoot! I meant to add a bell or a pom pom, and I forgot. I embossed the wings with a really pretty glitter embossing powder. Wanted Mr. Poe to look a wee bit angelic. ;) I only glued the portion behind Poe, so that the wings would be raised off of the card. Here you can see the glitter better. My sentiment I made from an alphabet stamp from....guess who? Yup. Martha freakin' Stewart. I love this set. And the snowflake I had laying around....Check out his scarf? I know he always wears an ascot, but he wanted to be a bit more fes...

Day 11 of 12 Days of Creepmas and Playing Catch Up

Hello there! So, as per usual this month, I am way behind in posting projects. Let's start with the ones that I should have posted yesterday, then I'll do my 11th day of Creepmas. This 80's Fabulous tag is for the latest Chromatic Craze challenge. I love these neon colors that Laura has challenged us with this month. I plan on using this tag on a future scrapbook page for my daughter (you can see I painted her nickname on it), as she wears these colors pretty often. The purple embossing powder I used is metallic and fabulous. I love the sheen on it. Next up is Dilly Beans . This week's challenge is Winter or Christmas. I went with Winter. Isn't this snowman a cutie? He's colored with Spectrum Noirs. It's tough to see, but the paper I used for the snowflake punch (Martha Stewart. Again.), has pretty chunks of a thin glitter in it. It's subtle, but when it catches the light, it is so pretty. This last piece is for Creepmas. It uses an...

Day 10 of 12: Creepmas Grumpie

Greetings and Salutations! Welcome to Day 10 of the Smeared and Smudged 12 Days of Creepmas. Today's project features a Grumpie from Smeared Ink. I love these guys. I love coloring this guy. I was happy to find some holographic light bulbs in my stash. They work really well in this card. I colored the Grumpie with Spectrum Noirs and Copics. I was going to give the grumpie a bit of a glow from the lights, then I realized that they weren't plugged in! Which, I guess is better for the Grumpie. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Jolly Bloggers, all listed in my side bar. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creeptastic day!

Day 9 of 12 Days of Creepmas: DICC with Dilly Beans

Greetings! I'd like to thank those of you that sent well wishes to my daughter for her Birthday. Today is another momentous occasion....it's my son's birthday! That's right. Both kids...within 2 days of each other, 1 week before Christmas. Go. Me. My boy is 7, and I can hardly stand it! Why must it go so fast??? But on to why you are really here. My 9th Creepmas project! I made this for the latest Desert Islands Crafters Challenge . Yup. I am 2 days late. But during this crazy week, I am lucky if anything gets made! As per usual, you need to use at least 3 things from the given itinerary. I used #'s 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, and 10. To see the itinerary, please visit the DICC Blog . We are sponsored by Dilly Beans this time, hence the choice of this image. I colored Halloween Framed Skellie 2 with my alcohol markers. My snowflake punch is yet another one from Martha Stewart's pretty-damn-awesome line. I hate how much I love her punches. The glittery goodness is an...

Day 8 of the 12 Days of Creepmas: Creepmas Centerpiece

Hello! It's the 8th day of the Smeared & Smudged 12 Days of Creepmas. It's also my daughter's birthday! I cannot my little girl is 5 today! Today's project features a fang-tastic image from Delicious Doodles . Terri (owner and artist of DD) had a Facebook contest to name the image I used today. And I won! It's called Creepmas Centerpiece. Isn't it rad? I colred the image with Spectrum Noir markers, and I used watercolor paints for my background. I love the way Teri draws hands. When I colored in the candle, I knew I had to use my Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch to mimic the dripping wax. The other punch is from EK Success. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Jolly Bloggers, all listed in my side bar. And now....I leave you a photo of my and my lovely little girl, at a Steampunk Convention we went to last month. Happy Birthday, Rhiannon! Thanks for stopping by. Have a creeptastic day!

7 of 12 Days of Creepmas: Dilly Beans Traditional Colors

Hello my creepy loving friends! Welcome to the 7th day of the Smeared & Smudged 12 Days of Creepmas. It's also Friday, so that means that there is a new Dilly Beans challenge! This week, it's Traditional Christmas Colors. I used Monster's Candy Garland . Yeah, he's a Halloween image, but I thought the skeleton heads looked like popcorn...and i have been wanting to use him for a while. I think he came out pretty cute! Here's a close up. I used watercolor markers for the entire image. My daughter, Rhiannon helped me chose where the colors should go. I love making projects with my kids. She also chose the Stickles I used for the background. There you have it! I hope you have been enjoying the 12 days so far! Please be sure to visit the rest of the Jolly Bloggers, all listed in my side bar. And be sure to visit the Dilly Beans gals over at the challenge blog . Thanks for stopping by. Have a creeptastic day!

Day 6 of 12 Days of Creepmas

Can you believe we are halfway done already? This month is seriously going by even faster than October! Really quickie post today..... There's that Santa hat again! I just keep gravitating towards it! All of my images today are from Bombshell Stamps . The sets I used was Holiday Accessory , and Calaveras Fiesta . Sorry this pic is kinda out of focus. I used only watercolors for this, though I embossed my skelli. How thoughtful of the skeleton to bring a gift! And look at what a cute teddy ear it is! Like I said...short post today! Please be sure to visit the rest of the Jolly Bloggers, listed in my side bar. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creeptastic day!

Day 5 of the 12 Days of Creepmas: Smile and Joy

Hello and welcome to Day 5 of the Smeared & Smudged 12 Days of Creepmas! Today I have another tag to share with you. I recently received a few Stampotique stamps (you saw me use Noelle this month already), and " Smile " is one of them. I love him! And so do my kids. He's just so cute! So I needed to use him this month. I colored him with watercolors, and cut him out really roughly...sort of child-like. I let him borrow the Santa hat from my Bombshell Stamps Holiday Accessory set. That I colored with markers. The "Joy" is from Inkadinkado, and my Christmas Balls are from the Great American Stamp Company. I watercolored the balls too. I also used some Stickles for a bit o' glitter. I could probably fill up all 12 Days using "Smile," but I will try to pull out something new for Day 6. ;) I will of course be entering my tag into the Stampotique Designers Challenge 128: Anything Goes . Please be sure to visit the rest of the Jolly Bl...

Day 4 of 12 Days of Creepmas: With Dilly Beans

Greetings! Welcome to Day 4 of the Smeared & Smudged 12 Days of Creepmas. Yesterday, I should have posted a project for Dilly Beans , but I am so behind schedule, that I couldn't until today. But, it works out as I can use my project for Creepmas! This week's challenge over at Dilly Beans is "Non-Traditional Christmas Colors." Check out my tag. I used Mimi's Candy Cane for my tag. As you can see....there's no red or green in sight. My tree used to be these colors....plus hot pink and lime green. We've changed it up a bit over the years though. I colored Mimi with my Spectrum Noir markers. My snowflake is a border punch from Martha Stewart. I used some Stickles to glitter them up. The sentiment is from Bombshell Stamps ' Holiday Accessory set. Thank you so much for all of the input for my wreath card. I loved Steph's idea to use the skull as holly. Maureen, the spider web punch is from Martha Stewart. She really has some of the best ...
