Day 1 of 12 Days of Creepmas, and DICC #43

Hello! Can you believe it's December 1st? I sure can't! Not only do I have a brand new Desert Island Crafters Challenge, but it's is officially Day 1 of the Smeared & Smudged 12 Days of Creepmas! I participated in this last year, and now it's gotten even bigger and better! For full details, please visit the Smeared & Smudged Blog. I am combining my Day 1 project with my DICC project. Especially since Smeared Ink is our sponsor this time around! You could win a $15 gift certificate! Here's the Itinerary.

  1. Creepy Christmas
  2. Anything But A Card
  3. Black & White
  4. Blood Red
  5. Gems
  6. Ribbon
  7. Glitter
  8. Bah Humbug
  9. One Layer Card
  10. Let it Snow!!

For my card, I used one of the Occasions Grumpies.

Isn't this guy cute? I love the Grumpies. Off of the Itinerary, I used #'s 1, 4, 5, 6, and 7.

I used watercolor markers and Copics to color him in. And check out my 3 gems. I love how they magnify the Stickles I used to adhere them to the card.

My sentiment is from The Occasions Grumpies set too. I hope you will play along with us at DICC. And, please be sure to give some love to all of the Jolly Bloggers, listed in my side bar. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creep-tastic day!

Mediterranean Dreams Shaker

Hello! Today I have a card that features the Mediterranean Dreams Subscription Kit from White Rose Crafts.  This fabulous Subscription Kit brings together sparkling, azure Mediterranean seas, sun-bleached shores and the rich colors of vibrant Mediterranean cultures in a carefully curated kit. I knew I just had to try the Jillibean Soup shaker card and I chose to use one of the stamps (from Kaisercraft) to make my background. I stamped the seashell with Tea Dye Distress Oxide all over the background of the card. Then I applied some Walnut Stain Distress Oxide to my craft mat, spritzed it with some water, and splattered it on to my card base. Last, I inked the edges with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide with a Mini Blending Brush. For my sentiment, I die cut a stitched rectangle from my stash, out of the pearly yellow cardstock that came in the kit and stamped it with "Wish You Were Here" stamp from the same "Summer Splash" stamp set, with StazOn Pigment ink. ***Sorry for the late posting....Blogger doesn't always play nice! Today is the first day of our  ADFD Blog Hop  - a celebration of all of the beautiful images Tammy has created over the years. As a special surprise for Tammy, we have a combination of current and former DT members participating in the hop. Her inspiring art and generous heart have touched us all. We want to take a moment to show our gratitude and thank Tammy for the blessings and joys we have received as members of the ADFD DT. Our theme is “A Collection of ADFD Favorites” - so each DT member’s blog you visit will share something she has created with one of her favorite ADFD images.  The hop has   hidden prizes  - a commenter from each hidden prize stop will win a choice of one image from the ADFD Shop ! Echo Park Blog Hop with Imagine

Greetings! This is my second post for the day. This one is not part of the 31 Days of Halloween, but rather a super-duper blog hop that the Artists in Residence for Imagine are doing with Echo Park . So if you're here for my Day 7 project, please check out the post HERE . But before you do that, scroll on to check out this one. There are prizes up for grabs, so be sure to check out the Imagine Blog as well as the Echo Park Blogs for details. I created my background by applying Dandelion and Tangelo Memento Ink to my brayer. Then I sprayed it with Ink Potion No. 9 to help the colors blend and to act as an extender to keep the inks wet longer. After I rolled the colors out on to watercolor paper and let it dry, I stamped the lovely doily-like image from Echo Park's Simply Sweet Stamp Set with Grape Jelly Memento. I also received the super pretty Heart Doily Designer Die  which I used with a true purple cardstock. But it needed something....and in rolls the super fabul...
