You Creep Me Out…Day 7 of 31 Days of Halloween

Gasp! I am sharing only one project with you today! I know! It’s crazy! But don’t worry (snicker) I’ll be doubling up again soon, I assure you. ;) Fridays have been named Smeared Ink Days, for the 31 Days of Halloween. We have been challenged to use only Smeared Ink stamps on our Friday creations. This isn’t mandatory, but since I have a new set to play with, I just couldn’t resist! My kids and I have been wanting the Creepy Lil Grumpies set for quite some time now, and it finally arrived the other day. The kids are itching to color up the sets I stamped out for them, but I got a chance to color a bit, and this is what I came up with.

Creep-1

Before I get into the care, I just have to say “Finally!” My purples look purple! I wonder if this means I need to steal my sis’ Nikon every time I use purple on a project?!

Anywho…this little Grumpie doesn’t like you. In fact…you creep him out. I don’t know what you did to make him feel this way, but I think you need to figure out how to make him feel better, quick!

Creep-2

Look at him! He’s so scared! Poor guy. I hope he cleaned out that pumpkin really good before he jumped into it. Pumpkin guts…ewwww!

Creep-3

So of course my Grumpie and sentiment are both from Smeared Ink. I used my Tattered Angels Glimmer Screen in the background to give it some pizazz, and a really cool EK Success border punch. I kept it pretty simple here. Probably because I am battling a nasty cold and haven’t been sleeping well (thanks to my children)…so my brain is on the fritz right now.

That’s all for now. Remember, the rest of the Wicked Bloggers are listed in my side bar.  Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a spook-tacualr day!!!

Such a brightly colored little gumpie - don't know why he doesn't like me 'cept I'm here to make that pumpkin into a pie (evil giggles)! So nice that your children enjoy your stamping too.

Mediterranean Dreams Shaker

Hello! Today I have a card that features the Mediterranean Dreams Subscription Kit from White Rose Crafts.  This fabulous Subscription Kit brings together sparkling, azure Mediterranean seas, sun-bleached shores and the rich colors of vibrant Mediterranean cultures in a carefully curated kit. I knew I just had to try the Jillibean Soup shaker card and I chose to use one of the stamps (from Kaisercraft) to make my background. I stamped the seashell with Tea Dye Distress Oxide all over the background of the card. Then I applied some Walnut Stain Distress Oxide to my craft mat, spritzed it with some water, and splattered it on to my card base. Last, I inked the edges with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide with a Mini Blending Brush. For my sentiment, I die cut a stitched rectangle from my stash, out of the pearly yellow cardstock that came in the kit and stamped it with "Wish You Were Here" stamp from the same "Summer Splash" stamp set, with StazOn Pigment ink. Echo Park Blog Hop with Imagine

Greetings! This is my second post for the day. This one is not part of the 31 Days of Halloween, but rather a super-duper blog hop that the Artists in Residence for Imagine are doing with Echo Park . So if you're here for my Day 7 project, please check out the post HERE . But before you do that, scroll on to check out this one. There are prizes up for grabs, so be sure to check out the Imagine Blog as well as the Echo Park Blogs for details. I created my background by applying Dandelion and Tangelo Memento Ink to my brayer. Then I sprayed it with Ink Potion No. 9 to help the colors blend and to act as an extender to keep the inks wet longer. After I rolled the colors out on to watercolor paper and let it dry, I stamped the lovely doily-like image from Echo Park's Simply Sweet Stamp Set with Grape Jelly Memento. I also received the super pretty Heart Doily Designer Die  which I used with a true purple cardstock. But it needed something....and in rolls the super fabul...
