SISC78, S&S Day 20 of 31, & SBS Day 4 of 12

That’s a lot of numbers in my title! Today I have 2 projects for you. The first is the latest StampInsanity Challenge, and the second is a combo for the Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween and the Simply Betty Stamps 12 Days of Halloween.

The StampInsanity Challenge is Halloween Treats. More specifically…how do you trick out a treat? Here’s what I came up with.

I used Witch Morgan, and made her a decoration for a lollypop!

I colored her in with my watercolor markers, and cut her our in a circle, to mimic the lollypop.

I attached straps to the back using scraps of paper, and slid on the pop. Easy peasy and totally cute!

For the 4th Day of SBS’ 12 Days of Halloween, we are to use 4 skeletons. I chose to work with Draco the Ghost Gentleman (who looks like a skeleton), and the dancing skeletons from my Bombshell Stamps Retro Cowgirl set.

Look ma! No kitties! ;) I colored Draco in with my pencils. I like that I kept the whole card in the gray family.

Have I mentioned how the collection that Draco is from (Steampunk Halloween), is my all time favorite Simply Betty Stamps set? Just look at how cool he is!

The little skeletons look like minions to me…about to do Draco’s bidding. Hmmm…wonder what that could be? The “Halloween” is from Basic Grey.

Please drop by the StampInsanity Blog for more treats that have been tricked out. I am sure they will inspire you! And be sure to hop by the SBS blog, and the rest of the Wicked Bloggers. All players in these 3 groups are listed in my sidebar. Thanks for stopping by! Have a spook-tacular day!

Fab projects, Alison! I think Draco looks like a skellie too but when I asked my DH, he said no so I added another skllie on my card. Now I wish I hadn't because the underlining is confusing. Yours ROCKS! xxD

Christmas in July with Imagine Crafts & Stencil Girl!

Hello! Have you heard? The Imagine AIRs have been hopping with Stencil Girl! If you have been here before, you know I loooove me some stencils, so this collaboration was very exciting for me! The teams are hopping for 3 consecutive Saturdays, and this is week 2. I have the entire list of hop links at the bottom of the post. Be sure you don't miss anyone! I decided to to create an extra large gift tag with my new stencils. Using red cardstock, I taped down the Journal Texture #8 Stencil  and inked it up with Golden Glitz Delicata ink . I promise you, this is the BEST gold ink you will ever use! The Journal stamp only has 2 diamonds on it (it's a 4x4" stencil), so after I inked up the first pair, I moved over the stencil, lined it up, and inked again. Next I wanted to do something textural with the Urban Insiders Star . So I took some evergreen cardstock, taped down the star, and slathered on some yummy Iridescent Green Creative Medium . After the medium dried, I ga

Deco Art and Andy Skinner Hop

This is a very exciting week for the Stampendous team! We are hanging out with the ultra cool Deco Art Mixed Media team, each using each other's products to share some incredible creations with you. These companies go hand in hand, so using each other's products is easy. And the results are amazing. We are of course featuring Andy Skinner's stamps, who is the DecoArt International Education Coordinator.  And yup, there are prizes! But I want you to go to the Stampendous Blog for all of that info. The link is at the bottom of the post. Now, on to my project. I made a cool wall hanging today. I started off with a piece of MDF and I drilled 2 holes, and covered it with DecoArt's white Gesso. After it dried, I used Andy's Alcohol and Media fluid Acrylics Layering Technique. You can check out his how-to video HERE . Needless to say, it's a great technique, and I loved doing it. Once I finished with the aforementioned technique, I sealed the piece w

Remembering Aletha

Greetings, Friends. This post today is part of a very special blog hop. We are celebrating the life of an amazingly talented artist and friend. The crafting community lost Aletha Jane Williams on May 5, 2019. Those of us that worked with her on Design Teams or on Challenge Blogs all agree that she was one of the sweetest and most talented women we knew. We are not here to mourn her loss though. This hop is happening in conjunction with a very special celebration of her life and her art that her husband Bob is holding in her home city of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Please join us in honoring our incredibly creative friend Aletha . My card features the "Remembering Aletha" Sprite, which Mitzi (owner and artist of Aurora Wings ) created specifically for this hop. She is generously giving the digi away to all, over on her blog. This sweet Sprite looks so much like Aletha, and I know she would have been honored. If you download this digi for yourself, please be sure to give a huge "
