DICC #18 & Day 15 of 31 Days of Halloween

Hello fellow Crafters (interpret how you like!). I have only 1 project for you today! Such a slacker, I know! ;) Today is the newest Desert Islands Crafters Challenge, and I am combining it with my latest 31 Days project. If you were here yesterday, you saw that I had previewed 2 more cards with the new Teen Scene Christmas collection from Simply Betty Stamps. But I was missing one. Christian (as Jack Skellington) on his own. Well, he worked perfectly for the new DICC challenge, so I decided to save him for today. Here’s this run’s itinerary.

The Itinerary

1 Halloween

2 SBS Image

3 Favourite Colour

4 Found Object

5 Candy colours

6 Not Square

7 Stripes

8 Shades of Grey

9 Bats & Spiders

10 The UnDead

I managed to use #’s 1, 2, 3, (purple), 6, 7, 9 (spiders), and 10.

I loved the part in Nightmare Before Christmas when Jack is trying to cut out snowflakes and he makes a spider instead! Poor Jack! And can I just say, that I am SO happy that Zero has made an appearance, as he is by far one of my favorite characters in the flick!

I used my markers for this. I’m not sure if you noticed, but I also used the latest Deconstructed Sketch for my layout. Jen’s sketches are always so inspiring!

The “Doh!” is from SBS’ Zombie Teen phrases. I thought it was really funny here.

And now, I bid you adieu. It’s time for you to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers and the DICC gals. All are listed in my side bar. I’m off to make some more pendants! ;) Thanks for stopping by. Have an spook-tacular day!

Mediterranean Dreams Shaker

Hello! Today I have a card that features the Mediterranean Dreams Subscription Kit from White Rose Crafts.  This fabulous Subscription Kit brings together sparkling, azure Mediterranean seas, sun-bleached shores and the rich colors of vibrant Mediterranean cultures in a carefully curated kit. I knew I just had to try the Jillibean Soup shaker card and I chose to use one of the stamps (from Kaisercraft) to make my background. I stamped the seashell with Tea Dye Distress Oxide all over the background of the card. Then I applied some Walnut Stain Distress Oxide to my craft mat, spritzed it with some water, and splattered it on to my card base. Last, I inked the edges with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide with a Mini Blending Brush. For my sentiment, I die cut a stitched rectangle from my stash, out of the pearly yellow cardstock that came in the kit and stamped it with "Wish You Were Here" stamp from the same "Summer Splash" stamp set, with StazOn Pigment ink. Our Favorites: ADfD Blog Hop

***Sorry for the late posting....Blogger doesn't always play nice! Today is the first day of our  ADFD Blog Hop  - a celebration of all of the beautiful images Tammy has created over the years. As a special surprise for Tammy, we have a combination of current and former DT members participating in the hop. Her inspiring art and generous heart have touched us all. We want to take a moment to show our gratitude and thank Tammy for the blessings and joys we have received as members of the ADFD DT. Our theme is “A Collection of ADFD Favorites” - so each DT member’s blog you visit will share something she has created with one of her favorite ADFD images.  The hop has   hidden prizes  - a commenter from each hidden prize stop will win a choice of one image from the ADFD Shop ! You won’t know where the prizes are hidden, so be sure to leave a comment at each stop of the Hop!  Our Blog Hop will run from 7:00 a.m. eastern standard time on Saturday, February 25,...

Echo Park Blog Hop with Imagine

Greetings! This is my second post for the day. This one is not part of the 31 Days of Halloween, but rather a super-duper blog hop that the Artists in Residence for Imagine are doing with Echo Park . So if you're here for my Day 7 project, please check out the post HERE . But before you do that, scroll on to check out this one. There are prizes up for grabs, so be sure to check out the Imagine Blog as well as the Echo Park Blogs for details. I created my background by applying Dandelion and Tangelo Memento Ink to my brayer. Then I sprayed it with Ink Potion No. 9 to help the colors blend and to act as an extender to keep the inks wet longer. After I rolled the colors out on to watercolor paper and let it dry, I stamped the lovely doily-like image from Echo Park's Simply Sweet Stamp Set with Grape Jelly Memento. I also received the super pretty Heart Doily Designer Die  which I used with a true purple cardstock. But it needed something....and in rolls the super fabul...
