Twilight Tuesday Scrapbook Challenge #3: Happy Birthday!

Hello all! Yeah, it’s Monday, but what a glorious Monday it is! Today is my Birthday! I turn 32 today, and I can hardly believe it! I am actually looking forward to 32… I’m not really sure why. I wasn’t thrilled about becoming 30 0r 31, but 32 seems to have a nice ring to it… So, because it’s a special day for me, I decided to represent that in this week’s Twilight Tuesday Scrapbook Challenge! Here’s what I wrote on the TTIC blog:

Today just happens to be MY Birthday!!! And, as you Twi-Hards all know, Bella’s Birthday really is the catalyst that sets New Moon in to motion. So, to help me celebrate (and to continue to celebrate the release of New Moon), I want YOU to make a Birthday scrapbook page! It can be about anyone! You, your kids… or, if you want to keep it purely Twilight, make a layout about Bella’s Birthday!!! So, please celebrate my Birthday with me and make a totally rad scrapbook page!!! Then, go and have some cake!

I actually made 2 layouts for today! Go me! Gene took the kids to his folk’s house on Saturday, so I had a few hours to myself. Here’s the first:

I have had this layout partially made for like over a year now or something ridiculous like that. I just couldn’t finish it… I had the photos matted and everything… but the pieces just were not coming together! But, it is finally done (said with a big sigh!). And, I am really happy with it!

Obviously, this is from 2 years ago. It was important for me to scrap this because just look at that fab Betsey Johnson necklace my awesome family gave me!

Click on any of the pics to see them bigger! I used a metallic cardstock from Prism (Onyx) for the mattes and the “30.”

See the sheen? LOVE that cardstock! On to the next layout…

Here is Rhi and Nix at their little bash we had for them last month. This page is for my Mom’s book of Rhi, which is why she is highlighted in this layout. Why the Hello kitty you ask? Make the pic bigger so that you can see the cake! My rad friend Chris (who owns a sick Ice Cream joint) put Hello Kitty all around the cake b/c Nix (and Rhi) love her! Oh, Nix picked out the colors of the cake by the way!

I like this page because it’s really fun and cheery. I love the bright colors all the papers I chose have.

And look at my little girl! Ain’t she sweet??? Some of the Design Team members have fantastic projects to display for this week’s scrapbook challenge – please go and check them out! Have a great day!!!

Your layouts are completely awesome! I really love the one with the kiddos - I am partial to the baby layouts... maybe because I am so far behind on my own family book. Eek! Your 30th page is amazing too - I love the big 3-0 on it! Very cool!! PS - I looove Betsey Johnson! I always knew you had taste! ;)

***Sorry for the late posting....Blogger doesn't always play nice! Today is the first day of our  ADFD Blog Hop  - a celebration of all of the beautiful images Tammy has created over the years. As a special surprise for Tammy, we have a combination of current and former DT members participating in the hop. Her inspiring art and generous heart have touched us all. Christmas in July with Imagine Crafts & Stencil Girl!

Hello! Have you heard? The Imagine AIRs have been hopping with Stencil Girl! If you have been here before, you know I loooove me some stencils, so this collaboration was very exciting for me! The teams are hopping for 3 consecutive Saturdays, and this is week 2. I have the entire list of hop links at the bottom of the post. Be sure you don't miss anyone! I decided to to create an extra large gift tag with my new stencils. Using red cardstock, I taped down the Journal Texture #8 Stencil  and inked it up with Golden Glitz Delicata ink . I promise you, this is the BEST gold ink you will ever use! The Journal stamp only has 2 diamonds on it (it's a 4x4" stencil), so after I inked up the first pair, I moved over the stencil, lined it up, and inked again. Next I wanted to do something textural with the Urban Insiders Star . So I took some evergreen cardstock, taped down the star, and slathered on some yummy Iridescent Green Creative Medium . After the medium dried, I ga

Remembering Aletha

Greetings, Friends. This post today is part of a very special blog hop. We are celebrating the life of an amazingly talented artist and friend. The crafting community lost Aletha Jane Williams on May 5, 2019. Those of us that worked with her on Design Teams or on Challenge Blogs all agree that she was one of the sweetest and most talented women we knew. We are not here to mourn her loss though. This hop is happening in conjunction with a very special celebration of her life and her art that her husband Bob is holding in her home city of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Please join us in honoring our incredibly creative friend Aletha . My card features the "Remembering Aletha" Sprite, which Mitzi (owner and artist of Aurora Wings ) created specifically for this hop. She is generously giving the digi away to all, over on her blog. This sweet Sprite looks so much like Aletha, and I know she would have been honored. If you download this digi for yourself, please be sure to give a huge "
