The Greeting Farm Relay: Mer Ian

Hey out there! Yes, I am posting on a Sunday… weird, I know, but there is just way to many things going on, so I needed to get this new card up! The Greeting Farm is having this way cool Relay going on. You can go over to their site and download a free digi, and then, if you complete the requirements, you can score up to 5 free digis this week!!! All the deets are on their site. How cool is that? So, I got my butt in gear and used digi #1. His name is Mer Ian, and I just love him!

Ain’t he cute? I kept the card simple, I wanted to highlight the coloring I did on Ian. I used my Spectracolor pencils, and I think he came out great! I was channeling my inner Donna…and I think it worked!

I just had to add some Stickles, and a couple of baby pearls (thanks Terra!), plus of course some pop dots to give the card some nice dimension.

And here is a close up of my coloring. I have so much fun doing this!!! Can you tell? Click on any of the pics to see them bigger! So, now I am looking forward to seeing what the next free digi is! If he/she is as cute as this little guy, it’s gonna be a fun week!

Please remember to check back here tomorrow as I will be issuing the next Twilight Tuesday Scrapbook Challenge! Enjoy what’s left of the weekend!!!

Echo Park Blog Hop with Imagine

Greetings! This is my second post for the day. This one is not part of the 31 Days of Halloween, but rather a super-duper blog hop that the Artists in Residence for Imagine are doing with Echo Park . So if you're here for my Day 7 project, please check out the post HERE . But before you do that, scroll on to check out this one. There are prizes up for grabs, so be sure to check out the Imagine Blog as well as the Echo Park Blogs for details. I created my background by applying Dandelion and Tangelo Memento Ink to my brayer. Then I sprayed it with Ink Potion No. 9 to help the colors blend and to act as an extender to keep the inks wet longer. After I rolled the colors out on to watercolor paper and let it dry, I stamped the lovely doily-like image from Echo Park's Simply Sweet Stamp Set with Grape Jelly Memento. I also received the super pretty Heart Doily Designer Die  which I used with a true purple cardstock. But it needed something....and in rolls the super fabul...

Mediterranean Dreams Shaker

Hello! Today I have a card that features the Mediterranean Dreams Subscription Kit from White Rose Crafts.  This fabulous Subscription Kit brings together sparkling, azure Mediterranean seas, sun-bleached shores and the rich colors of vibrant Mediterranean cultures in a carefully curated kit. I knew I just had to try the Jillibean Soup shaker card and I chose to use one of the stamps (from Kaisercraft) to make my background. I stamped the seashell with Tea Dye Distress Oxide all over the background of the card. Then I applied some Walnut Stain Distress Oxide to my craft mat, spritzed it with some water, and splattered it on to my card base. Last, I inked the edges with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide with a Mini Blending Brush. For my sentiment, I die cut a stitched rectangle from my stash, out of the pearly yellow cardstock that came in the kit and stamped it with "Wish You Were Here" stamp from the same "Summer Splash" stamp set, with StazOn Pigment ink. And ...
