Twilight Tuesday Farewell Blog Hop

The end is here. This is the Twilight Tuesday Farewell Blog Hop. And I can honestly say that I never thought I could have so much fun with people that I have never met! But before I start getting all mushy on you, let me share what Rebecca wrote on the TTIC Blog: Hey everyone! It’s Rebecca , bringing you something special for our last Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge. For this event, we’re doing a DT blog hop. Our challenge theme???? ” Love of books, the printed words on a page” since that is what brought us all together. I love to read the newspaper online but nothing beats a printed newspaper on Sunday mornings. And no matter how hard I try, I can’t abandon books (hardcover, softcover, or paperback) to a digital reader. Are you totally digital or do you prefer a good old fashioned printed page in your hands?” Creative portion: Create a project that uses printed text: a page from a magazine, book, dictionary, etc. within your project, as the background or focal point. The hop...

Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge #60: Red

Hello Blog friends! It’s Tuesday, so I have another Twilight Tuesday project to share with you! This week’s challenge is brought to us by my darling friend Erica. Here is what she wrote: Hello everyone! This is Erica and I am bringing you this week’s TTIC project. I love red. It is one of those colors that evokes so much emotion. Whether it be love or hate, red is passionate. When watching New Moon I just love the visual of all the people in red capes at the Saint Marcus Day Festival. Red was all around during Christmas time, and now with Valentine’s day, there is so much inspiration around. Creative portion: Create a project either using the color red or expressing what red means to you. Comment portion: Tell your best “red” story. Is it that great red dress that caught everyone’s attention, have you “seen” red before, anyone like Red Velvet cake? Anything goes! I too, love red. I love to wear it, I love to see it… it is such a strong and beautiful color. I have plenty of stories that...

Here’s my c...

Twilight Tuesday Scrapbook Challenge #3: Happy Birthday!

Hello all! Yeah, it’s Monday, but what a glorious Monday it is! Today is my Birthday! I turn 32 today, and I can hardly believe it! I am actually looking forward to 32… I’m not really sure why. I wasn’t thrilled about becoming 30 0r 31, but 32 seems to have a nice ring to it… So, because it’s a special day for me, I decided to represent that in this week’s Twilight Tuesday Scrapbook Challenge! Here’s what I wrote on the TTIC blog : Today just happens to be MY Birthday!!! And, as you Twi-Hards all know, Bella’s Birthday really is the catalyst that sets New Moon in to motion. So, to help me celebrate (and to continue to celebrate the release of New Moon), I want YOU to make a Birthday scrapbook page! It can be about anyone! You, your kids… or, if you want to keep it purely Twilight, make a layout about Bella’s Birthday!!! So, please celebrate my Birthday with me and make a totally rad scrapbook page!!! Welcome Jodi!!! Well, you don’t have to tell me twice! I love all things sparkly!!! First, I have to say, this is the toughest card I have ever had to photograph! Why? Take a peek at the black-ish looking cardstock. That’s actually a pewter mirror finish stock! See my hand in the reflection? Here’s a different view so you can see what I’m talking about… Like I said… not easy to photograph!!! But what...

TTSBC #2 Jasper Says Relax...

Hello again! Yes, I’ve been on a bit of a blog hiatus, what with the Holidays and the icky stomach virus that took up residence in my house. Somehow, I was very fortunate and was spared from getting sick, but Nix is still not quite right. Gene and Rhi seem to be just fine now. Thank you for all the well-wishes!!! So, I am pleased to announce that today marks the second Twilight Tuesday Scrapbooking Challenge! I am so excited about giving you these challenges every other Monday (I’ll be rotating with Dani’s awesome Sketch Challenges!). So, without further ado, here’s what you’ll find on the TTIC Blog: Welcome to the second Twilight Tuesday Scrapbooking Challenge! The Holidays are almost over, so maybe you can find some time to play along with us! This week's challenge is about one of the Cullen boys... Jasper has the special ability to control the emotions of the people in a room. He often made Bella relax in Twilight. Who in your life does that for you? Maybe you have a special pl...

TTIC #58: A Twilight Christmas

Greetings! It’s Tuesday, so it is time for another Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge! Here is what my darling friend Margie (who I actually have met!!!) wrote this week: “It’s time for our last challenge for 2009… We have had a wonderful year here at Twilight Tuesday and we are looking forward to having another fun, crafty and adventurous Twilight-y year with all of you in 2010!” This week’s challenge is “A Twilight Christmas” Create any Twilight themed holiday project. Comment: What is something that you are leaving behind in the old year and what are you looking forward to in the new year??? Cool! So here’s what I created: Please click on the photos to see them bigger! Obviously, the cardinal stamp is the focus. It’s from Inkadinkado and I just love it. Cardinals are one of my fave birds… I embossed him with cherry red powder from Gel-A-Tins, inked the edges in Quicksilver and pop dotted him. I used a clear stamp from Fancy Pants in the background and embossed it with UTEE in...

Black Dagger Brotherhood- Butch O’Neal Fandom Friday on TTIC

Time for another Black Dagger Brotherhood Challenge! This week we are working with Butch O’Neal. The ex-cop human who not only wears killer threads, but…shall we say…runs with vampires as well! Here’s what my Book Buddy Beth wrote on TTIC: Phew! Can you believe we are almost halfway through December? And, oh yes – TGIF! Hopefully you have all found some quiet time somewhere to get in a little reading – and better still, I hope you have gotten your hands on a copy of one of the BDB books! This week, we have the challenge based on book #4, Lover Revealed, which tells the story of Butch O’Neal. Read on: Butch is a man who has lived a hard life. His heart is big, but his head never really lives up to his heart. He’s rough around the edges, and lives his live hard charging, with little regard to his own well-being. And he is always on the fringe – in his family, his job and in life. Then he finds himself coming to the aid of a friend, and his whole universe shifted. His entire destin...

Happy Tuesday! It’s time for another Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge !!! This week our latest exciting challenge is brought to us by our Design Team Leader, Margie. Who, without her, I may have never even found out about TTIC! Here’s what she wrote: "I don't know about you guys, but I'm still celebrating the release of New Moon! and my b'day is in a few days! So I'm in the mood to keep on celebrating it all right into the New Year! " Challenge: Create a "Celebrating" project for the vampire-lover in your life! It can be any Holiday - birthday, Christmas, Valentine's, etc. Have a ton of fun with this one and don't hold back! Comment: There's no denying that we all have wish lists, especially with the holiday season on us! Some of our lists are a little more practical than others... Please share with us with what is on your "not-so-practical" wish list??? I decided to make a Birthday card. I have a number of those to do thi...

TTIC #56 Your New Moon Experience Part 2

Wowie! Did this past week just fly by for you or was it just me??? I had a great Thanksgiving (I think the food this year topped ALL other years!!!), and then the babies and I came down with this nasty cold that we are still fighting… But it’s on the outs so I’m hoping we’ll be back to normal within a day or so. But let’s get to the topic you visited me for shall we??? It’s Twilight Tuesday time! We are finishing up Your New Moon Experience this week. Here’s what I wrote (that’s right… my challenge! Gosh, that never gets old!!!) on TTIC: Happy Tuesday Twilighters! So, have you seen it? How many times??? I know some of you have gone 2 or 3 times already! Now, the most important question… Did you take pictures???? If so, then join us in making a layout of your New Moon Experience! If you didn’t, that’s ok! Scrap your ticket stubs, journal about the evening’s events, etc! Just have fun with it! Even if you haven’t scrapped before, join in! We can’t wait to see what you make and read abo...

It’s Almost Time!!!

In less then 7 hours from now… I will be sitting in a blackened theatre, with my Sis Pam and my BFF Terry and about 100 oogling females. Tonight, we see Twilight at 9PM, and New Moon directly after at the stroke of midnight. I am not one who normally goes to midnight showings… I don’t even like to catch a new flick within the first couple of weeks of it’s opening. But, this is different. I don’t get to go out too often, and as far as going to the movies? Well my friends, Twilight was the last movie I saw at the theatre! Hello??? That was like, a year ago! I needed this little bit of Alison time. Things have been pretty stressful around here, and what better way to blow off some steam then to see a bunch of vampires? Well I suppose I could think of a couple of other things that would be better… but we won’t go there. ;} So the three of us will ride off in to the night, 2 of us decked out in some of our finest vampy attire, whilst our adrenaline pulses through us like heroine. We will b...

TTIC #55 Monochromatic Color Challenge

Happy Tuesday! Just a couple more days until New Moon is theatres!!! Are you as excited as I am??? There are a TON of awesome things happening over at Twilight Tuesday . If you’re a Twi-fan… them you are going to LOVE what’s coming up! But first, this week’s challenge… thought up by sweet Eve. She asked us to create a monochromatic card using a Twilight inspired color. I actually thought that this was a pretty tough challenge for me. I never work monochromatically. I love mixing colors together way too much! But I’ve gotta say, it really came together quite nicely! Here’s my card: I had colored this fantabulous digi (Yes folks, I have tip-toed in to the digi world. Shhh! Don’t tell anyone I’m here!!!) from The Greeting Farm last week. I saw him and just HAD to color him! I mixed my own pearly paint using acrylic (Ceramcoat) and shimmer powder (Jacquard). The consistency of the paint is a little off, but I’m working on fixing it. Then it was all about the colored pencils! I love how ...

Black Dagger Brotherhood Challenge ~ Zsadist, the Lover Awakened

It’s time for Fandom Friday again at Twilight Tuesday ! This week we get to focus on Zsadist, the scary/cool Brother! There will be spoilers! Here’s what Beth wrote over at TTIC : Zsadist’s story is told in the third Black Dagger Brotherhood book, Lover Awakened . Z is easily the most hardened of the Black Dagger Brothers. After being kidnapped from his crib, and his family (including his twin brother Phury) as an infant and sold into blood slavery, his life was irretrievably altered and his soul seemingly damaged beyond repair. Enter Bella. This is an incredibly intense story ~ and one that will run your emotions through the full spectrum. Craft Portion : Create a project that captures the dichotomy that is Zsadist. Sociopathic killer, or damaged sensitive soul? Choose your canvas and run with it… Comment Portion : Do you see Z as the soulless killer, or the redeemable antihero? He certainly invokes varied emotions from those around him – what do you feel when you read his ...

TTIC#54 The Raven

Happy Tuesday! It’s time for another Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge. I am SO in love with this challenge… if I have time, I may have to make some other cards to go along with it. So what’s it about this week? It’s Rebecca’s turn and here is what she wrote: Hey Twerds and Twihards! Its me { Rebecca } bringing you this week’s challenge! In New Moon, we really get to know more about the “pack” and some of the Quileute traditions. In Quileute legend, the Raven is the trickster figure in Quileute Indian culture. His name is pronounced similar to bah-yuck in Quileute. (I found that tidbit somewhere on the internet!) Raven is a shapechanger, who could assume any form – human or animal. The Raven is a clever and generally benign figure who sometimes helps humankind, but he also has many character traits that are viewed negatively in Quileute culture (greed, laziness, arrogance, deceitfulness, and rudeness) and many traditional legends have to do with Raven misbehaving and getting into ...

TTIC# 53: The Transformation

It’s Tuesday again! And this isn’t just any Tuesday… it’s the Tuesday that I get to pick the next Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge !!! Do you have any idea how excited I am?!?!?! Here is my challenge… I am so excited to be bringing you my second challenge! This one is a little different, because you get the opportunity to make yourself the subject! Spoiler alert! Don't continue reading if you haven't finished the Twilight Saga!!! In Breaking Dawn, Bella transforms from human to vampire. In life, we all go through changes...though not as severe as Bella's! What kind of changes have you physically gone through? Cut off all your hair? Dye it blue (like me?)? Nose job? Pregnancy? Lost a lot of weight? We just celebrated Halloween... did you or someone you know wear a costume that transformed them to being unrecognizable? Craft Challenge : Create something that narrates a physical change you've gone through Comment Challenge : Tell us about your change, or a change...
