TTIC and Artful INKables Collaboration Day 4

IMG_5115

Wow! Day 4 already! Here is my homage to those proud and few Wolf Girls out there. Don’t get me wrong… I really like Jacob. I think he’s funny, sarcastic, strong willed, a real stand up kinda guy (when he IS a guy of course!)… but I will ALWAYS be a Vampire Chic. Haha… back in the day… when I was on the CB Radio all the time (back in like ‘95), that was my “handle” or nickname. Vampire Chic. That’s me! Anyway, back to my card. I think I got this one made the fastest, but I also think it’s my favorite. Yeah, it’s not as ornate as the first one I made… but there’s just something about it that I really like. Part of it is the colors… tried to keep ‘em in the “russet” family since that’s Jake’s color, but I wanted the Imprinted to really stand out. Almost to make it cautionary. Once a girl is imprinted, watch out! ‘Cause if she’s ever threatened, you’ve got the whole pack to deal with. Hmmm…kinda like the shellans in the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series.

So, my cardstock is Prism and the brown ink is Chestnut Roan from Color Box, and the red is Fired Brick from Ranger. Pop dots from EK Success. And of course… the fantabulous stamps are from Artful INKables!!! Have you ordered your sets yet??? Don’t forget, there’s 2 stamp sets and one really rad charm set.

On Monday, I will bring you one more project using these sweet little pieces of red rubber (although I KNOW I’ll be using them all the time after that too!). Make sure you take a looksie at the rest of the awesome-tastic projects from the Twilight Tuesday chicas. Everyone has put so much time and effort into this challenge (although that’s always the case!). Stop by and show some love!

Mediterranean Dreams Shaker

Hello! Today I have a card that features the Mediterranean Dreams Subscription Kit from White Rose Crafts.  This fabulous Subscription Kit brings together sparkling, azure Mediterranean seas, sun-bleached shores and the rich colors of vibrant Mediterranean cultures in a carefully curated kit. I knew I just had to try the Jillibean Soup shaker card and I chose to use one of the stamps (from Kaisercraft) to make my background. I stamped the seashell with Tea Dye Distress Oxide all over the background of the card. Then I applied some Walnut Stain Distress Oxide to my craft mat, spritzed it with some water, and splattered it on to my card base. Last, I inked the edges with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide with a Mini Blending Brush. For my sentiment, I die cut a stitched rectangle from my stash, out of the pearly yellow cardstock that came in the kit and stamped it with "Wish You Were Here" stamp from the same "Summer Splash" stamp set, with StazOn Pigment ink. Echo Park Blog Hop with Imagine

Greetings! This is my second post for the day. This one is not part of the 31 Days of Halloween, but rather a super-duper blog hop that the Artists in Residence for Imagine are doing with Echo Park . So if you're here for my Day 7 project, please check out the post HERE . But before you do that, scroll on to check out this one. There are prizes up for grabs, so be sure to check out the Imagine Blog as well as the Echo Park Blogs for details. I created my background by applying Dandelion and Tangelo Memento Ink to my brayer. Then I sprayed it with Ink Potion No. 9 to help the colors blend and to act as an extender to keep the inks wet longer. After I rolled the colors out on to watercolor paper and let it dry, I stamped the lovely doily-like image from Echo Park's Simply Sweet Stamp Set with Grape Jelly Memento. I also received the super pretty Heart Doily Designer Die  which I used with a true purple cardstock. But it needed something....and in rolls the super fabul...
