Happy New Year from WRC!

Here is my card using the Snowman Family stamp from Wild Rose Studio . I really like using snowmen in the first few months of the year. They work great for holiday cards, but I use them often for winter cards too. I colored the Snowman Family with Tombow Dual Brush Markers and a Wink of Stella pen for some sparkle. I also added some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink around the edges, to mimic my bottom layer. That bottom layer is from LemonCraft's Daydream pap...

Christmas Bunny Shaker

Greetings! Today I have a new shaker card to share that uses several of the Add-On products for the White Rose Crafts December Subscription Kit. I started out with the sweet Christmas Bunny stamp from Wild Rose Studio. I colored her in Wintry colors with my Zig Clean Color markers. Then I had to figure out a way to make a shaker window, without cutting off her ear. I used a heart die from Lawn Fawn's Magic Slider Die set and taped it into place. Then, I put my top plate on top (I use a Sizzix Big Shot machine), but only to the top of her ear. This way, the die wouldn't cut beyond the plate. Then, I turned the paper and die sideways, and repeated the process to cut to the side of her ear. I wound up with what's shown in the photo below. You can see that her ear hasn't been cut because of how I placed the top plate. Then, I just used an X-Acto Knife to cut around the ear and remove the inner portion of the heart. For my background, I applied some Tumbled Gl...

Holiday Spirit: Aurora Wings Challenge #73

Seasons Greetings! Today I have a project for the latest Aurora Wings Challenge which is "Holiday Spirit." I decided to take the theme as a two-fer. Not only is this a holiday card, but the "spirits" are flowing too. I used the Wine Sprite for my card, and gave her a Merlot look. I colored her with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Here's a closeup. I found a lovely paper in my stash from Wild Rose Studio from their Holly Lane collection. For my sentiment, I had some pretty red glitter cardstock from DCWV that I die cut with an old alphabet set from QuicKutz. I also added some sequins from a few different Sparkle Blends from Doodles Paper Playground. The sequins and the sentiment were all glued on with On Point Glue from Imagine. On my card base, I inked the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink, and then Peeled Paint Distress Ink. After I adhered my background to my base, I added Rock Candy Stickles to the edges. This gave just a touch of sp...

Molten Metal Jacks

Happy Halloween!Today I have a Halloween card, which I feel like I have seriously been missing out on this October. I began creating this card on a Facebook Live, where I shared how to do the Molten Metal Technique. I used the  Jack O Lanterns Stencil  for this technique. To see how it's done, please check out replay below. And here is the finished card... After I finished the Molten Metal Technique, I colored in the eyes and mouths of the Jacks with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Then I created a sky and ground with Chipped Sapphire, Frayed Burlap, and Black Soot Distress Ink. I dug through my scraps and found a cool piece of orange cardstock to stick behind my Jacks. Then I created my card base out of brown cardstock. I decide to mimic my Distress Ink background, so I tore a piece of deep blue cardstock, and dripped on some Sheer Shimmer Spritz in Frost for a touch of additional shine. Thanks to the cool technique on the Jack O Lanterns, I didn't re...

Merry Christmas with Circle Dies

Look Ma, no stamps! That's right! I didn't use a single stamp on today's card. That doesn't happen too often. This week, the Stampendous team is sharing creations that are "To Die For," that is, projects that use some of their wonderful dies. Good Luck/Bad Luck? Happy Friday the 13th!

Greetings! Time for a new challenge from the B Team of Left of Center ! This week, we are sponsored by Meljen's Designs , and the theme is "Good Luck/Bad Luck." I used Steampunk Girl and turned her into a leprechaun. I used my watercolor markers and a touch of Spectrum Noir markers (just for her skin) to color the image. For the base of my card, I used the fantastic Spiral Dots stencil from Dreamweaver. I used to colors of Distress Ink to color the dots. My kids love St. Patrick's Day, so I'll be giving this card to them next week. Shhhh!!!!!!!!! Don't tell them! ;) Please be sure to stop by the LOC blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with. Thank for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

March into Spring with Dreamweaver

Ready for fresh air, sunshine, new leaves, and flowers blooming? Well, the Dream Team is right there with you! Our challenge for the month of March is...coincidentally...Marching into Spring. Per usual, we'd love to have you play along with us, and link your own creations to the  Inlinkz  tool on the  Dream It Up!   blog, or at the bottom of this post. Play as many times as you'd like. Those of you who work  Dreamweaver  and/or   Stampendous  products into your projects receive bonus points, but everyone has an opportunity to be the winner who receives the stencil of their choice. Here's my hint of Spring: I started off by using the new Beams stencil. I inked it up using 5 colors of Ditsress Ink, which I applies by using cosmetic sponges. After that, I applied white Embossing Paste to the Lotus stencil. After it dried, I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers. Then, I dabbed on some Glossy Accents with my finger, and sprinkled ...

Damask Pumpkin: Day 18 of 31 Days of Halloween

Ok friends, today I am cheating. I am double posting with Dreamweaver Stencils today, and I am using the same project for both. I'm sorry! I have been busy with Pampered Chef Shows...fundraisers to be exact...and making costumes for my kids. So today, I decided to not make myself absolutely crazy, and just use the same card twice. I used the beautiful Damask stencil, inked with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink. I had a really cool pumpkin stamp, from Inkadinkado, which also has a damask print on it, which is what inspired the card for today. The pumpkin was watercolored, and the 2 elements were layered atop a striped piece of paper. Not overly crazy, this project, because I didn't want the patterns to be too overpowered by anything else. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers, listed in my side bar. Thanks for stopping by. Have a spooktacular day!

I've Been Die-ing to Share......

Greetings! Welcome to July...the month to DIE for! Yep. All of this month, the Dream Team are featuring our newest toys...our DIES! You'd be surprised at how many we have, and what fun things you can do with them...especially when used in conjunction with many of their stencil counterparts. They are such a simple way to create an effective card. Here's mine for this week: I am really in love with the new Tree Line Die . If you have been checking out the Dream it Up! Blog this week, then you will have been seeing some really outstanding projects by Lynell using this very die. I decided to go a different route from Lynell, and use an altered version of the Double Glitter technique on the die cut image itself, instead of the background.  Here's what I did. 1. Adhered Double Stick Mounting Paper to a piece of black cardstock, slightly larger than the die. 2. Ran the die and paper through my Big Shot machine. 3. Peeled off just the top of the paper from the Double S...

"Dream-Pendous" Collaboration!

Greetings! This is going to be such an exciting week for Dreamweaver Stencil s fans and Stampendous Stamps fans alike. It's going to be a "Dream-Pendous" week of inspiration! The Dreamweaver and Stampendous teams are collaborating once again with all the fun toys in each team's arsenals. Of course, as usual, there will be prizes given out for those who comment throughout the week. In fact, there will be 3 prize packs available! Each will have a great selection of Dreamweaver Stencils and Stampedous dies and images. One being the new "Blossom Beauty" face image as shown in the badge in my sidebar. I am beyond excited to share my project with you. I made an art journal page, with a....rather altered...version of the fantastic Blossom Beauty image. Can you tel that I had soooooo much fun with her?!? It was a blast to rework her beautiful face and turn half of her into a sugar skull. The flowers are really what inspired me to do it. They are so big and be...
