Whisker Graphics Hop- Chive Chewing

Hello and welcome! The Stampendous team is collaborating with Whisker Graphics this week, and WOW! Their Divine Twine is just that...divine! And I adore their tags. I used their gray tag today, and the color is fabulous! We've got prizes up for grabs, and you can get the full details on the Stampendous Blog

I shared a project yesterday that featured Whisker Graphic's Divine Twine (I just couldn't wait to share it!), so please check out that post too. But first, today's project. Check out the cute Chive Chewing House Mouse stamp.

Supplies:
Stampendous:
HMH04: Chive Chewing
DCP1005: Fitted Frames Set A
DCP1006: Fitted Frames Set B
DWLX7013: Pinwheel Checkerboard Stencil
PK03: Gemstone Pearl Lustre Embossing Kit
EI101: Boss Gloss Embossing Ink with Dauber
ASCRS03: Industrial Stamp Set
SSC1239: Spring Sentiments
MPW811: Mixed Media Paper
Acrylic Stamp Handle
STF082: Onyx Black VersaFine Ink

Others:Tombow Dual Brush Markers: 491,158, 126, 676, 623, 850, 761, 990, 942, 947, 977, 992, N75, N89
My Colors Cardstock: Plum, Grasshopper
Imagine Crafts: Honeydew Ultimate Metallic Ink
Color Box: Chestnut Roan Ink
May Arts: Ribbon
Whisker Graphics: Tag
Beacon Adhesives: Zip Dy Glue

Directions:
1. Stamp Chive Chewing Stamp with VersaFine ink in Tuxedo Black on to Mixed Media Paper. Color using Tombow Dual Brush markers using the direct-to-paper method using the colors listed in the supplies.

2. Die Cut the completed image using a die from the Fitted Frames Set A. I then used a larger die from Set B and Plum colored cardstock to create a mat. Ink the Plum mat with Honeydew metallic ink.

3. Using a white tag, lay the Pinwheel Checkerboard stencil on top, and apply the embossing ink from the dauber all over the tag. Don't go for perfection. Getting the basic shape of the stencil is good enough for this tag. Next, using Tanzanite embossing powder from the Gemstone Kit, heat emboss the powder over the entire tag.

4. Using the "Metal" stamp from the Industrial set, apply to a clear block and ink with Chestnut Roan ink. Apply over the entire tag. You can wipe off excess (where it's been embossed) with a tissue.

5. Die cut the smallest frame from Set B with Grasshopper cardstock, and stamp the sentiment using Tuxedo Black. Ink the edges with Chestnut Roan.

6. Using Zip Dry Glue, add your elements to the tag. Finish off with a piece of olive green May Arts ribbon.

Below are the links for all the folks sharing projects today. Be sure to check them all out! Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Love that HM image!!! So sweet. I'm not totally sure mice really chew on chives, but that's okay....the real ones also aren't near as cute as the HMeeses are.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful tag. It's so pretty in purple with the stenciling!

February Smeared & Smudged Sketch Challenge

The new Smeared & Smudged challenges are up and ready for you to participate in! I got instantly inspired by Kelli’s card sketch for the month, as I have been working with different ideas for my next “Tarot Card.” Haha! That’s actually pretty funny! If you’ve been checking in over the past couple of weeks, you may have seen my Misty Benson Tarot Set 1 ( Smeared Ink ) cards. I’ve used The World and The Fool so far. Today, I bring you Death. Don’t worry…it’s actually a joyful image…one that I intend to use a lot! First, here’s the sketch. I flipped it and changed the ribbon and embellishment a bit. Can I just start off by saying that it is quite nerve wracking to slice your image??? I have done it a few times in the past, but I always get butterflies when I attempt it again. I colored the image and the card itself using nothing but Distress Inks and my Cut-n-Dry Nibs. My skull button at the top has been colored with Alcohol Inks.   The colors look a little off ...

"Dream-Pendous" Collaboration!

Greetings! This is going to be such an exciting week for Dreamweaver Stencil s fans and Stampendous Stamps fans alike. It's going to be a "Dream-Pendous" week of inspiration! The Dreamweaver and Stampendous teams are collaborating once again with all the fun toys in each team's arsenals. Of course, as usual, there will be prizes given out for those who comment throughout the week. In fact, there will be 3 prize packs available! Each will have a great selection of Dreamweaver Stencils and Stampedous dies and images. One being the new "Blossom Beauty" face image as shown in the badge in my sidebar. I am beyond excited to share my project with you. I made an art journal page, with a....rather altered...version of the fantastic Blossom Beauty image. Can you tel that I had soooooo much fun with her?!? It was a blast to rework her beautiful face and turn half of her into a sugar skull. The flowers are really what inspired me to do it. They are so big and be...
