You are Amazing

Hello crafty folks! Today I have a card featuring a very special Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground. I used the Harvest Joy Blend, which is only available through the White Rose Crafts October Subscription Kit . There are still some kits available, so if you would like to get your hands on this very special Sparkle Blend, and all of the other great items in it, grab it while you can. I don't know about you, but sometimes I like to just color whatever image I am inspired by, and they don't always make it on to a card right away. That's what happened with this sweet dragon from Mama Elephant . He's from the fabulous Me and my Dragon stamp set. I ADORE this stamp set. If ever there was a stamp set made for me, it's this one. But back to my card. I stamped this guy with VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne. Then I used watercolors from Recollections to paint him. I went back over the stamped image with a black PITT pen from Faber Castell because these watercolo...

Fashion Gifts from A Day for Daisies

Hello! I have a tag to share with you today that features Fashion Gifts from A Day for Daisies . I colored the image with my Zig Clean Color Markers. I cut her out, and then die cut a Tim Holtz tag. I played with some Dylusions paint, as well as a Nathalie Kalbach stencil from the Fashion Dame set. The stencil was inked with Night Sky VersaMagic from Imagine . I used the Wander stamp from Stampendous at the bottom, and added some ribbons to the top. I thought the sentiment was appropriate for ladies that like to roam the mall. I am entering this into the newest Simon Says Stamp challenge , which is "New Something." This gal has certainly purchased a lot of new somethings...I wonder what they are! Plus, this digi is new for me. That's it for me today. I'll have another project for A Day for Daisies tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Spooky with Imagine: Day 21 of 31

Greetings! Welcome to Day 21 of the 31 Days of Halloween. It's no secret that Halloween is my absolute favorite time of the year, and when I'm crafting or decorating for this very special season (a day is just not long enough!), I like to make things that are creepy. I don't do the full on gore, and I try not to go super cutsie. I prefer to be a little off-putting and eerie, and I think my card today shows that. Here's a full tutorial. Supplies: Imagine: Sheer Shimmer Spritz in Sparkle Vertigo in Tilted StazOn in Claret & Jet Black irRESISTable  in Love Letter Memento in Tuxedo Black Other: EK Success Jack O Lantern layer punch Stampendous Fitted Frames Set B Xyron : Creative Station Scrapbook Adhesieves : Foam Squares May Arts Ribbon Inkadinkado Halloween sentiment stamp Gray and orange cardstock White card base Directions: 1. Day 10 of 31: Sugar Skull

I always need to do at least one Day of the Dead project for every 31 Days of Halloween. So for Day 10, I have a project using a fabulous Sugar Skull from Dilly Beans . I love Megan's Sugar Skulls, they're always fun to color. I used my Zig Clean Color markers for this one. For my background, I used the Waves and Dots Stencil from Dreamweaver (via Stampendous ), along with several colors of Dylusions Sprays. I of course flipped the sprayed up stencil on to a new piece of paper to get the negative image, and so that I don't waste any of that fabulous spray. I'll use that part another day. Because the sprays are so easy to work with, this is another card that came together fairly quickly. And right now, I am all about getting things done fast. A little ribbon and a black mat was the only other additions I really needed to get this card done. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers by checking out the links on my side bar. I also have another p...

Day 4 of 31 Days of Halloween: ADfD

Good day to you! It's Day 4 of the 31 Days of Halloween, and today I am sharing another Mini Page that I made, this time with Cat Hat from A Day for Daisies . In my mind, the woman is a witch, and her familiar likes to relax on her head. Especially during difficult spell-casting or meditation. Am I the only one that likes to think up stories for their stamps and digis? Anyway...I colored this this duo with my Zig Clean Color markers and a water brush. I aged the paper with Antique Linen Distress Ink and London Fog Memento from Imagine . For my background, I used the Damask Stencil from Dreamweaver with Slate Gray from Imagine's Vineyard Kaleidacolor ink set. My oval die cut is from Dreamweaver, and the rectangular one is from the Fitted Frames set B from Stampendous. On top of the rectangular die cut, I used Tuxedo Black Fireworks! spray from Imagine, more of the gray inks I mentioned before, as well as some chunky black embossing powder from Stampendous. I ad...

Bed Head Lady

Hello! I have a card featuring A Day for Daises today. In case you didn't know, we are now doing a single monthly challenge, and the Design Team will be sharing various projects throughout the month over on the ADfD blog . When I first saw this image (her name is Bed Head Lady ), it immediately reminded me of Lucille Ball. She was gorgeous and hilarious, and I could just imagine a skit beginning with stumbling around after getting out of bed yelling to Dezi, "I'm up. What more do you want." I colored her with Zig Clean Color markers. I've got to say, I think these Zigs are my new favorite markers. You can create so many fantastic effects with them. For my sentiment, I used words from the now-closed (sadly) Smeared Ink set, Lil Grumpies. I used Night Sky VersaMark ink from Imagine. I didn't have a "more" stamp, so I cut one from a K. & Co. paper sentiment. I inked the edges with Desert Sand Memento ink, also from Imagine, and my rik-ra...

Live Each Day Layout

Hi! This week, the Stampendous team has been sharing lots of projects featuring flowers and foliage. Today, I am sharing a scrapbook page. Gosh...it's been far too long since I have had one of these up here in Bloggy Land. The photo I used is of my daughter when we went on a trip to Strausburg Railroad in Pennsylvania. Whenever we go there, we ride in an open air car...they are so relaxing, and the breeze that comes in is wonderful. My kids love to lean out (just a little) and let the wind blow through their hair.  Supplies: Stampendous: P285: Live Each Day DCP1005: Fitted Frames Set A DCP1006: Fitted Frames Set B DWLX7011: Big Dots Stencil DWLJ808: Cathedral Windows Large Stencil DWLX7012: Waves and Dots Stencil FREG029: Shabby Blue Embossing Enamel PK03: Gemstone Embossing Powder Kit EI101: Boss Gloss Embossing Ink with Dauber MPW811: Mixed Media Paper Acrylic Stamp Handle STF082: Onyx Black VersaFine Ink Creative Impressions: Ribbon Others: Tombow Dual ...

Summer Seal Waiting

Hello! It's time for me to share my latest A Day for Daisies project with you. Since last week, we on the Design Team have been sharing projects featuring the June Club Kit....the Summer Seals collection. And they are adorable!!! I used Summer Seal Waiting for my project. This seal is just so sweet. They all are, really. I love all of the flowers around her too. I painted the image and background with watercolors. I used a sentiment from Stampendous' Ocean Wisdom set, and the sand was created with their Golden Sand embossing powder. I added some self-stick ribbon from May Arts to trim the bottom of the image, and of course I inked up my edges. Please be sure to visit the A Day for Daisies Blog to see what the rest of the team created. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Using Vellum with A Day for Daisies

Hello! It's time for a new challenge with the A Day for Daises team. For the next 2 week,s we are asking you to "Use Vellum." The images we are showcasing are from the Magical Dancers collection. I am sharing Magical Bloom Dancer . I used Copics to color her in, and I went a little gothic with her. Her skin is actually grey. Her dress is showing as a little more yellow than the lime that it is in real life, but you get the idea. I used a fun bead mix around the image's border for some texture. For my vellum, I was happy to have lime...which really matches her dress perfectly, and I stamped it with a sheet music stamp ( Mixed Media Cling Rubber Musical Motif ) from Stampendous , and I embossed it with Detail Black Embossing Powder . I also added some beautiful sheer ribbon from May Arts in a deep orange to go with the color of the poppies on the sweet dancer. The ink I used around the edges is Tuxedo Black Memento from Imagine Crafts. That's it for me ...

Hello and welcome! The Stampendous team is collaborating with Whisker Graphics this week, and WOW! Their Divine Twine is just that...divine! And I adore their tags. I used their gray tag today, and the color is fabulous! We've got prizes up for grabs, and you can get the full details on the Stampendous Blog .  I shared a project yesterday that featured Whisker Graphic's Divine Twine (I just couldn't wait to share it!), so please check out that post too. But first, today's project. Pea Pod Nap with Passionate Paper Creations

Hello! I'd like to invite you to color with the Stampendous Team and the Passionate Paper Creations and Friends Group. Beneath the Sea Hop

Somewhere.....beyond the sea.....Oh. Wait. This is the Beneath the Sea blog hop. Well, I think you get where I'm going with my "singing."Be grateful I am not actually singing to you. This week, the Stampendous team is showing off projects that we've made with Graphic 45 's fantastic Voyage Beneath the Sea collection. It's a fantastic blend of the sea and steampunk. I love it! My project today is a tag. I used the Steampunk Splash paper,  Sea Horse stencil, along with the Boss Gloss dauber top embossing ink, and Aged Teal (from the Teal Encrusted Jewels Teal kit) embossing powder on watercolor paper. I thought it looked fantastic with the colors of the Graphic 45 paper I used. When this mixture melts, you see not only teal, but silver and gold as well. And the powders are of different sizes, so the texture created is wonderful. Here's a close up.  I then tore the edges and inked them with Celestial Copper Delciata Ink from Imagine Cra...

Trading Metal with Imagine Crafts

I really enjoy making ATC’s, but I’ve never made one out of metal. I decided to give it a go with Imagine Crafts’ Sheet Metal since they offer an actual ATC size. With this tutorial, you can vary the tools to accommodate what you already have. Directions: 1. Emboss Sheet Metal with Embossing folder by running it through a die cut/embossing machine. Ink the raised image with Jet Black StazOn ink. For more color and texture, I spritzed the metal with Desert Sand irRESISTables, and I let it dry. 2. Take a large punch (I used a Maple Leaf) and punch out some Vertigo. I used Rattlesnake. I love the varying image of this particular Vertigo sheet. Ink the edges with Celestial Copper Delicata ink.   3. Use the same punch again, but this time punch a piece of Kraft colored cardstock. Ink the leaf using VersaFine inks. I used Habanero, Spanish Moss, Toffee, and Satin Red. I punch a small hole into the 2 leaves (at the same time, to be sure they were in the same place, ...
