Love Ya a Latte

Hello! I am back with a new shaker card and one of the newest Sparkle Blends from Doodles Paper Playground. There are six brand new Blends and you can check them all out HERE. For my shaker, I was really inspired by the Gingerbread Man Sparkle Blend.

I knew immediately that I wanted to pair the Blend with the new Thanks a Latte stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I stamped the cups on Kraft cardstock and carefully cut the inside of the cups with an X-Acto Knife and and created my shaker window.

I used a couple of Rectangle Dies from Gina Marie Designs to cut my shaker panel and background paper (from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid "Chill" 6x6" Pad) The images were colored with Tombow Dual Brush Markers. The Gingerbread Man Sparkle Blend is perfect for filling these cups with "coffee" or "hot cocoa." It's a great assortment of chocolate and gold colored sequins, a bit of cream, and lots of different sized glitter sequins.

I added just a few snowflake sequins from the Snow Cool Sparkle Blend for the main part of the card. The finished card is great for a guy or a gal pal. The colors are cool but comfy, and I just adore the Gingerbread Man Sparkle Blend.

That's it for me today. I'll be sharing several projects with all of the new Blends this month, so I hope you will check back with me. To shop for any of them please visit the White Rose Crafts LLC store. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

February Smeared & Smudged Sketch Challenge

The new Smeared & Smudged challenges are up and ready for you to participate in! I got instantly inspired by Kelli’s card sketch for the month, as I have been working with different ideas for my next “Tarot Card.” Haha! That’s actually pretty funny! If you’ve been checking in over the past couple of weeks, you may have seen my Misty Benson Tarot Set 1 ( Smeared Ink ) cards. I’ve used The World and The Fool so far. Today, I bring you Death. Don’t worry…it’s actually a joyful image…one that I intend to use a lot! First, here’s the sketch. I flipped it and changed the ribbon and embellishment a bit. Can I just start off by saying that it is quite nerve wracking to slice your image??? I have done it a few times in the past, but I always get butterflies when I attempt it again. I colored the image and the card itself using nothing but Distress Inks and my Cut-n-Dry Nibs. My skull button at the top has been colored with Alcohol Inks.   The colors look a little off ...
