Hello! Today I have a card that features the Mediterranean Dreams Subscription Kit from White Rose Crafts.  This fabulous Subscription Kit brings together sparkling, azure Mediterranean seas, sun-bleached shores and the rich colors of vibrant Mediterranean cultures in a carefully curated kit. I knew I just had to try the Jillibean Soup shaker card and I chose to use one of the stamps (from Kaisercraft) to make my background. I stamped the seashell with Tea Dye Distress Oxide all over the background of the card. Then I applied some Walnut Stain Distress Oxide to my craft mat, spritzed it with some water, and splattered it on to my card base. Last, I inked the edges with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide with a Mini Blending Brush. For my sentiment, I die cut a stitched rectangle from my stash, out of the pearly yellow cardstock that came in the kit and stamped it with "Wish You Were Here" stamp from the same "Summer Splash" stamp set, with StazOn Pigment ink. Hello! I've got a new shaker card to share with you today and it features the " Storm Cloud " Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground . I think the Caffeinated Shark from The Rabbit Hole Designs is just hilarious, and I knew that having a cloudy sky would just add to the bad morning this guy is clearly having. I had the Small Stitched Cloud die from Rubbernecker Stamps that I used to cut out my shaker panels. Then I used the Go with the Flow stencil from Taylored Expressions for my water. I inked it with Salty Ocean and Broken China Distress Oxides. I then covered most of the stenciling with some vellum, to help it appear that the shark was actually in the water. Hello! Today and occasionally going forward I will have a special guest designer (or two!) on my blog. My daughter Rhiannon is now a Designing Mini Diva for Doodles Paper Playground , and she is beyond thrilled. Rhiannon is 10, and if you've been a follower of mine, you'll know that I love to craft with my kids. Rhiannon has become quite the talented artist, and Amber asked her to join our Design Team to help encourage kids to get crafty. So, here is her very first post, written by her (and overseen by me). Hello! I have a fun, summery shaker card featuring three Sparkle Blends from Doodles Paper Playground to share with you today. I love ice cream, especially in the summer, and the Lawn Fawn Sweetest Flavor stamps are just perfect for what I wanted to create. I started off by stamping my 3 focal ice cream cones with VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne . Then, I stamped the rest of my cones all over the background with Gray Flannel Memento Ink. I filled in the empty spaces with hearts, and gave all of the background ice cream happy faces. I also added my sentiments with Nocturne ink from the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Sentiments (the original set). Next, I carefully lined up the Sweetest Flavor Reveal Wheel Add-On Die that cuts out the center of the ice cream, on each of my three focal cones. I adhered some acetate to the back, and then foam tape from Brutus Monroe to the entire back of my shaker panel. Greetings! It's time for the June Doodles Paper Playground Sparkle Blends Release Hop! There are 6 glorious new Sparkle Blends, and the Designer Divas are going to be sharing projects using them. I started off with a scrap piece of Rainbow Shattered Glass DecoFoil from Therm O Web. I had already applied it to a piece of cardstock with double sided sheet tape. I stamped my butterfly (from Stampendous' Cling Lilac stamp set) with StazOn Pigment ink in Piano Black and then used the coordinating die cut on it. Hello! I've got a shaker card to share with you today that has a brand-spankin' new Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground in it. I am featuring "Ruby" which is part of the Birthstone Collection. July babies rejoice! Your Sparkle Blend has arrived! This card was inspired by a few things. Of course, the Ruby Blend started the process. I also recently watched one of Mary Polanco's latest YouTube videos, where she admits to being stuck in a crafty rut, but she pushed through and made some spectacular cards. Her cards featured the May My Monthly Hero Kit from Hero Arts . I have that kit, and I was really loving her all green card. Hello! It's officially June and that means there are NEW Sparkle Blends! Six new Blends are getting released this month, and they are total stunners! I am sharing one of them with you today, and I can't wait for you to see the rest. My card today was inspired by the new Mermazing Sparkle Blend. I love the watery colors, the pearl-like beads, and of course the mermaid sequins! Here's a closer look at what's in this Blend. On top of my shaker window, I used an older stamp and die set from Stampendous . I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Markers. My sentiment is from Stampendous' Ocean Wisdom stamp set. Outside of my window, I lightly inked some Salty Ocean Distress Oxide to pull the colors in the shaker forward. Hello! Today I have a Christmas shaker card to share with you. I know, I know....it's almost the unofficial start of Summer, but I find that I don't always have enough handmade cards to give over the holidays, so why not start now? And shaker cards with Sparkle Blends from Doodles Paper Playground are perfect for the holidays. I often like to color images and just keep them together until I feel like putting them on a card, or I have inspiration. I colored this sweet little image named Sami from A Day for Daisies quite some time ago, and just never put it on a project. I knew it was perfect for a shaker. Since I had pre-colored Sami, I chose my Sparkle Blend based on the colors I used on the image. Boughs of Holly was just perfect! This is a traditional Christmas colored Blend, but I really love the various shades of green in it. There is lots of sparkle and shine, plus some stars, holly leaves, and flowers. Hello! This week, the White Rose Crafts team is focusing on die cutting. WRC carries lots of great dies...some that are stand alone, and some that work with stamp sets. My card for today uses Jillibean Soup Jar dies that coordinate with their Lemonade stamps . The last time I had used this stamp and die set, I stamped and die cut a bunch of the fruit slices, wedges, and jar lids so that it would save me time in the future. These pre-made pieces really came in handy when making this card! Besides the fruit slices and wedges, I added some " Well, Yellow There " Sparkle Blends from Doodles Paper Playground. I like the tiny microbeads in this Blend. They look like bubbles, and really help things move around in the shaker. I backed my window with a piece of cardstock that I applied Distress Oxides to. Hello! Thanks for visiting me today. I've got a new shaker card to share that is soft, pretty, and great for different occasions. I chose to make it a "thank you" card, but it would work great for lots of other things.  If you've been stopping by lately, you'll know that I really love Kaisercraft's " Greenhouse " collection. I've been using it quite a bit lately, because it's just beautiful. I started off by choosing a few of the Cardstock Die Cuts  and arranged them on a blank background. I then decided that I wanted to use an oval stitched die from Lawn Fawn's Magic Color Slider Die set (I use the 3 frames in that set all the time ) for my shaker window. Then I chose my coordinating patterned papers. After choosing the papers, I went through my stash of Sparkle Blends to see what I thought would work best. Greetings! Today, I've got a new shaker card to share with you. I was inspired by some of the Windowrama stamps and dies from Stampendous. Specifically, the Elephant  stamp with the Giraffe dies. Those items helped me choose my Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground, which is Good Luck Charm . I started off by coloring the elephant with Memento Markers and die cutting him. For the top layer of my shaker, I used Memementos as well, but I also added the 6 x 6 Crackle Stamp with the Fresh Greens Kaleidacolor inks for some additional texture. Behind the shaker window, I used a piece of glossy cardstock that I applied alcohol ink from Ranger to some time ago. Since the alcohol ink was ponced on to the cardstock, it gives the illusion of a rain forest canopy. The Good Luck Charm Sparkle Blend has some really wonderful shades of green, gold, and silver that made the background pop. My card base is white, and I applied some brown textured cardstock on top, and rubbed Golden G...

Hello and Happy May! I'm kicking off the month with a new shaker card that uses an older (but still available) Sparkle Blend. I had these images from the Floaties stamp set from Stampendous colored and cut, they just needed to be put on a card. My daughter and I decided to make the card together, and she chose to use Ocean View . It was the perfect Sparkle Blend to represent water in a pool. As we started to make the card, we thought it would be fun to complete it while we did a Facebook Live. So if you'd like to see the process, please click HERE . Those Floaties crack me up! We chose a piece of patterned paper from Echo Park's Coffee paper pad. We thought it was perfect for our "pool." Our circular window was cut with a die from Elizabeth Crafts Designs. Hello! Today I have a new shaker card to share, but this one is very special. My husband and I are redoing our kitchen. It's a major job that we are doing ourselves, but we are so excited about it. We ordered cabinets through a home improvement store, and when you do that, you need to actually sit down with a "Kitchen Designer" to get everything ordered correctly. We knew what we were getting, so it was really just a matter of the woman helping us plugging in the dimensions and item numbers. But she was wonderful to work with, and was really helpful with some of the questions I had. I decided to make her a thank you card. But not just any card. And not just any shaker card, either.
