Magical Unicorn Slider Card

Hello! Today I have a card that was so much fun to make! And even more fun to play with! But shhhh!!!! Don't tell my daughter! I made it for her first day of school. I used lots of Lawn Fawn to make the card, and I think she's going to love it.

So this card doesn't look too fancy, right? Unless of course you know just how magical Magic Color Slider Cards can be!

This is what you see when you pull up the little tab at the top of the card. Magically, the image is colored! I'm telling you, I am having a blast making these. You of course need the Magic Color Slider Die, and then you can use any stamps you want. The die set is so clever, and gives you several different fun options to help you customize your slider.

I went with the Unicorn from the Critters Ever After Set. She was colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a touch of Wink of Stella. My sentiment is from the Believe in Yourself mini set, that comes with an adorable Jackalope. The colored image was stamped with VersaFine in Onyx Black, and the overlay piece was done with StazOn in Jet Black. I used some Star Dust Embossing Powder on the sentiment for some sparkle.

The pink cardstock is from Bazzill and the patterned paper is from Doodlebug. I used Artist's Loft Watercolor paper for the colored in portion, as well as the slider itself.

I am entering this in the 11th Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, which is Cards for Kids. I'm making another slider card for my son, so hopefully I will have that done shortly and posted for you to check out. My daughter is going to flip when she sees this card. She loves all things unicorn, as well as Lawn Fawn. I only wish I'll be with her at lunch when she opens it. Do you like to tuck little notes and cards into your children's lunch too? Thank you so much for visiting today. Have an inspiring day!

Mediterranean Dreams Shaker

Hello! Today I have a card that features the Mediterranean Dreams Subscription Kit from White Rose Crafts.  This fabulous Subscription Kit brings together sparkling, azure Mediterranean seas, sun-bleached shores and the rich colors of vibrant Mediterranean cultures in a carefully curated kit. I knew I just had to try the Jillibean Soup shaker card and I chose to use one of the stamps (from Kaisercraft) to make my background. I stamped the seashell with Tea Dye Distress Oxide all over the background of the card. Then I applied some Walnut Stain Distress Oxide to my craft mat, spritzed it with some water, and splattered it on to my card base. Last, I inked the edges with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide with a Mini Blending Brush. For my sentiment, I die cut a stitched rectangle from my stash, out of the pearly yellow cardstock that came in the kit and stamped it with "Wish You Were Here" stamp from the same "Summer Splash" stamp set, with StazOn Pigment ink. Echo Park Blog Hop with Imagine

Greetings! This is my second post for the day. This one is not part of the 31 Days of Halloween, but rather a super-duper blog hop that the Artists in Residence for Imagine are doing with Echo Park . So if you're here for my Day 7 project, please check out the post HERE . But before you do that, scroll on to check out this one. There are prizes up for grabs, so be sure to check out the Imagine Blog as well as the Echo Park Blogs for details. I created my background by applying Dandelion and Tangelo Memento Ink to my brayer. Then I sprayed it with Ink Potion No. 9 to help the colors blend and to act as an extender to keep the inks wet longer. After I rolled the colors out on to watercolor paper and let it dry, I stamped the lovely doily-like image from Echo Park's Simply Sweet Stamp Set with Grape Jelly Memento. I also received the super pretty Heart Doily Designer Die  which I used with a true purple cardstock. But it needed something....and in rolls the super fabul...
