Greetings! I have a new card to share with you today...one featuring one of the new Simon Says Stamp exclusive STAMPtember sets, Amazing Messages. I will be using this card in the latest Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, which is "Stamp It." They asked if participants could use SSS Exclusive products, though it isn't a requirement. Since Simon Says Stamp gave me the Amazing Messages stamp set to help promote STAMPtember, I am excited to be be sharing this card with you today.
I started off by inking up the "Fantastic" stamp with VersaFine ink on to Canson Mixed Media Paper. I love to use this paper for my watercolor markers, so I colored the image up with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I cut the image out, leaving a bit of a white border around it. If you've been visiting my blog or my Instagram lately, you will know that I am head over heels with making Magic Color Slider cards with Lawn Fawn's unique die. The die set comes with 3 shapes that become the windows for your images, and of course, you always end up with a negative piece. Since Lawn Fawn thinks of everything, they added a pretty stitched edge to each of the shapes (on the positive and negative sides), and I thought this hear went perfectly with the Fantastic stamp.
I added some clear Wink of Stella around the edge of the heart for a touch of sparkle. My background was created using the Picasso Shield/Stencil from Stampendous. One of the sides has the look of clouds, and I inked it up repeatedly with a stencil brush and Brilliance Ink (from Imagine) in Pearlescent Sky Blue. This ink added even more lovely shimmer to the card.
The card needed more, so I took out the "you are" and the starburst from the Amazing Messages stamp set, and stamped them repeatedly across the top and bottom of the card in Grape Jelly Memento ink. I also added some pretty opalescent sequins with my On Point Glue randomly on the card.
This is a fun card that is perfect to give someone who may need a little bit of encouragement. It's cheerful and shimmery, and pretty quick to pull together. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
