Day 8 of 31: Crow with Blood

Hello! It's Day 8 of the 31 Days of Halloween. Today I am sharing a project that came together quickly. We all need to make quickie cards once in a while, right? Well, this is one of them.
I started off by stamping this fabulous image with crows from Inkadinkado on to my scratched up cardstock. The cardstock is printed this way. It's from an older DCWV paper pad...the Twilight inspired one. So I stamped the image with VersaMark and embossed it with Detail Black Embossing Powder. For my card base, I just used a regular white card and smeared Black Shimmer Delicata Ink all around the edges. Now it has a nice shimmer. I also inked the edge of my mat with Tuxedo Black Memento, just to make it stand out a little.

Then it was time for the super fun part! Spraying my faux blood everywhere. And I do mean everywhere......

My kids thought I got bit by a dog. Anyway, to create this fabulous catastrophe, I used once again, Love Letter irRESISTable Spray from Imagine. That stuff is seriously one of my new favorite things. And for you gore fanatics, I cannot stress enough how much you need this stuff.

I mean, look at that shine! The dimension! It's perfection. I know, I know...get on with it, already. I honestly don't have much more to say. ;) Again, it was a quick project, with just enough of the creepy factor for me. I'll be back tomorrow with some more blood splatters! Don't forget to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers, all listed in my sidebar. Thanks for stopping by. Have a fangtastic day!

Love when you have a background paper
that doesn't require a lot of extra
work. The crows are spooktacular.
The splatters of blood are fangtastic.
Hope the kids weren't upset for too long.

Mediterranean Dreams Shaker

Hello! Today I have a card that features the Mediterranean Dreams Subscription Kit from White Rose Crafts.  This fabulous Subscription Kit brings together sparkling, azure Mediterranean seas, sun-bleached shores and the rich colors of vibrant Mediterranean cultures in a carefully curated kit. I knew I just had to try the Jillibean Soup shaker card and I chose to use one of the stamps (from Kaisercraft) to make my background. I stamped the seashell with Tea Dye Distress Oxide all over the background of the card. Then I applied some Walnut Stain Distress Oxide to my craft mat, spritzed it with some water, and splattered it on to my card base. Last, I inked the edges with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide with a Mini Blending Brush. For my sentiment, I die cut a stitched rectangle from my stash, out of the pearly yellow cardstock that came in the kit and stamped it with "Wish You Were Here" stamp from the same "Summer Splash" stamp set, with StazOn Pigment ink. Echo Park Blog Hop with Imagine

Greetings! This is my second post for the day. This one is not part of the 31 Days of Halloween, but rather a super-duper blog hop that the Artists in Residence for Imagine are doing with Echo Park . So if you're here for my Day 7 project, please check out the post HERE . But before you do that, scroll on to check out this one. There are prizes up for grabs, so be sure to check out the Imagine Blog as well as the Echo Park Blogs for details. I created my background by applying Dandelion and Tangelo Memento Ink to my brayer. Then I sprayed it with Ink Potion No. 9 to help the colors blend and to act as an extender to keep the inks wet longer. After I rolled the colors out on to watercolor paper and let it dry, I stamped the lovely doily-like image from Echo Park's Simply Sweet Stamp Set with Grape Jelly Memento. I also received the super pretty Heart Doily Designer Die  which I used with a true purple cardstock. But it needed something....and in rolls the super fabul...
