Twisted Sisters

It’s Friday! Which means it’s Smeared Ink day! And I hope you don’t roll your eyes…but I have another card featuring the Glam Vamps. I just can’t stop using these chicks! And this time…I used TWO of them!

This is Anya and Ann Marie. Aren’t they pretty? But wait! Get a little closer and you’ll see their red eyes and fangs. These 2 are definitely Twisted Sisters!

I colored them with my watercolor markers. Aren’t they fashionable? Then I cut out 2 rectangles in patterned paper and…well…twisted them, to further add to the sentiment. Speaking of which…the “twisted” is from the Valentine’s Grumpies collection, and I made the “sisters” myself with some K& Co. letters. ‘

What do you think? I think they’re hawt! Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!!!

Alison, this is great. I love this image. Smeared and Smudged is so great! Also, this turned out really nicely with your watercolor pens. Never heard of them before!

Love the images and the colouring is beautiful!! Love Chanelle xxx
What a great pair of sisters. Wonderful card. It almost tells a story all by itself - or is it just my imagination?

February Smeared & Smudged Sketch Challenge

The new Smeared & Smudged challenges are up and ready for you to participate in! I got instantly inspired by Kelli’s card sketch for the month, as I have been working with different ideas for my next “Tarot Card.” Haha! That’s actually pretty funny! If you’ve been checking in over the past couple of weeks, you may have seen my Misty Benson Tarot Set 1 ( Smeared Ink ) cards. I’ve used The World and The Fool so far. Today, I bring you Death. Don’t worry…it’s actually a joyful image…one that I intend to use a lot! First, here’s the sketch. I flipped it and changed the ribbon and embellishment a bit. Can I just start off by saying that it is quite nerve wracking to slice your image??? I have done it a few times in the past, but I always get butterflies when I attempt it again. I colored the image and the card itself using nothing but Distress Inks and my Cut-n-Dry Nibs. My skull button at the top has been colored with Alcohol Inks.   The colors look a little off ...

The Dreamweaver and Stampendous teams are collaborating once again with all the fun toys in each team's arsenals. Can you tel that I had soooooo much fun with her?!? It was a blast to rework her beautiful face and turn half of her into a sugar skull. The flowers are really what inspired me to do it. They are so big and be...
