SISC32: Think Pink! and Day 21 of 31 Days of Halloween

Sooo…I accidentally posted this yesterday… My days are all mixed up! I apologize!!! I feel terrible about it! When I realized my mistake, I took it down. So here it is…on THURSDAY…like it was supposed to be!

Yay! It’s Thursday again! That means it’s time for another StampInsanity Challenge. This week it’s Ward Two’s turn to play along (check out both Wards posted on my sidebar), and that means I’m in! This week’s challenge is in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness…Beth wants us (and you!) to “Think Pink!”

Katie-watermarked-set

Of course, I used an image from this very special set. The proceeds for the sale of this set go to the Susan G. Komen fund.

Think-Pink-1

The colors are much more vibrant in person.  I colored Katie with my colored pencils and then used scraps to make the rest of the card. I wrote “Think Pink” on one side using a few different pens.

Think-Pink-2

I love this image. It is full of strength and hope. I used this image to make a card for my neighbor who just lost her Mom to cancer. She loves the card. I pop dotted Katie so that she really stands out too. Please check out the rest of Ward 2’s Groovy Gurlz!

Here’s my 31 Days of Halloween project…also featuring an image from StampInsanity!

Wicked-Lilith-1

This is Lilith. She’s from the new Devil Dolls collection…which has quickly become a favorite of mine! Isn’t she awesome???

Wicked-Lilith-2

I LOVE her eyes…and her wee fangs. She’s so mysterious…I want to be Lilith! I really like how her coloring came out. It’s soft and almost foggy…like she’s an apparition.

Wicked-Lilith-3

The “Wicked” comes from Smeared Ink. And did you notice the tiny spiders on the gray cardstock? Even though I hate spiders…these guys are cool. I love that paper!

You will see me use the images from this collection a LOT!!! Because they are all fabulous! Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers…posted on my sidebar. Have an inspiring day!

Echo Park Blog Hop with Imagine

Greetings! This is my second post for the day. This one is not part of the 31 Days of Halloween, but rather a super-duper blog hop that the Artists in Residence for Imagine are doing with Echo Park . So if you're here for my Day 7 project, please check out the post HERE . But before you do that, scroll on to check out this one. There are prizes up for grabs, so be sure to check out the Imagine Blog as well as the Echo Park Blogs for details. I created my background by applying Dandelion and Tangelo Memento Ink to my brayer. Then I sprayed it with Ink Potion No. 9 to help the colors blend and to act as an extender to keep the inks wet longer. After I rolled the colors out on to watercolor paper and let it dry, I stamped the lovely doily-like image from Echo Park's Simply Sweet Stamp Set with Grape Jelly Memento. I also received the super pretty Heart Doily Designer Die  which I used with a true purple cardstock. But it needed something....and in rolls the super fabul...
