Smeared & Smudged Meets The Greeting Farm for a Super Cool Blog Hop!

Quite a title huh? I am super stoked for this post today!!! One company that I totally love-The Greeting Farm- is hooking up with Smeared & Smudged today for an awesome Blog Hop!

This is the very first stop in the hop! You will be traveling to almost the entire S&S Design Team, and I promise you…you will be inspired!!! I have TWO cards to share with you…so let’s get started!

TGF-Hop1

Say “Hello!” to Thursday! She is one of TGF’s Creepers and I gotta say, I love that whole collection! I am so pleased to get to work some magic on Ms. Thursday here…and I will need to add to my Creeper collection!

TGF-Hop2

Here’s a close up. You can click on any of my photos to see them bigger. I colored her in with my fabulous colored pencils. I had a grand ole time picking out the colors with Nix for this one! I think we rocked the colors out, don’t you???

TGF-Hop3

I used a mess of different papers… I love to combine wacky patterns together and come out with something unexpected and cool. Check out the purple paper with the rain dots! It actually comes that way!

So I was so inspired by Thursday, that I just had to make another card for this Hop. Here’s my second card, using Mojo Monday’s latest sketch: #142.

TGF-Hop4

I love this one! It’s a little bit darker…more in the realm of goth, which is so very me! There’s a lot going on with this card so you may just wanna see it bigger!

TGF-Hop5

Coloring this chick is so much fun! I would totally wear this get-up! Yes, even the hat! I would rock it! ;}

TGF-Hop6

You can see more of the elements I used in this pic. Staples, ribbon, border punch, etc. Do ya think it’s rad???

Now let’s get down to business. Over at Smeared & Smudged, you can win Thursday for yourself! how??? It’s really quite simple! Join our little group if you haven’t already, and play along with this month’s Rock N Rolla and/or Oh! The Horror Challenges. One person from each category will be randomly selected to win Thursday, courtesy of the super fabulous The Greeting Farm!!!

There’s another way to play along to…and it’s just for this hop! The Greeting Farm decided they wanted to do even more, so they are hosting their own little contest. Go through this entire blog hop, and leave a comment for our wonderful Design Team members. Once you’re done, leave a comment at The Greeting Farm’s bloggy. The addy is HERE. Once you do that, you have a chance to win there too! So many prizes, so little time! So let’s get hopping!!!

Your next stop is to my awesome-tastic friend and S&S Co-Captain, Kelli. And, just in case you need it, I have the entire hop list below. Happy Hopping! Have an inspiring day! BIG thanks to Jessica at The Greeting Farm for setting this hop up with me! It’s been a pleasure working with you!!!

February Smeared & Smudged Sketch Challenge

The new Smeared & Smudged challenges are up and ready for you to participate in! I got instantly inspired by Kelli’s card sketch for the month, as I have been working with different ideas for my next “Tarot Card.” Haha! That’s actually pretty funny! If you’ve been checking in over the past couple of weeks, you may have seen my Misty Benson Tarot Set 1 ( Smeared Ink ) cards. I’ve used The World and The Fool so far. Today, I bring you Death. Don’t worry…it’s actually a joyful image…one that I intend to use a lot! First, here’s the sketch. I flipped it and changed the ribbon and embellishment a bit. Can I just start off by saying that it is quite nerve wracking to slice your image??? I have done it a few times in the past, but I always get butterflies when I attempt it again. I colored the image and the card itself using nothing but Distress Inks and my Cut-n-Dry Nibs. My skull button at the top has been colored with Alcohol Inks.   The colors look a little off to m

Christmas in July with Imagine Crafts & Stencil Girl!

Hello! Have you heard? The Imagine AIRs have been hopping with Stencil Girl! If you have been here before, you know I loooove me some stencils, so this collaboration was very exciting for me! The teams are hopping for 3 consecutive Saturdays, and this is week 2. I have the entire list of hop links at the bottom of the post. Be sure you don't miss anyone! I decided to to create an extra large gift tag with my new stencils. Using red cardstock, I taped down the Journal Texture #8 Stencil  and inked it up with Golden Glitz Delicata ink . I promise you, this is the BEST gold ink you will ever use! The Journal stamp only has 2 diamonds on it (it's a 4x4" stencil), so after I inked up the first pair, I moved over the stencil, lined it up, and inked again. Next I wanted to do something textural with the Urban Insiders Star . So I took some evergreen cardstock, taped down the star, and slathered on some yummy Iridescent Green Creative Medium . After the medium dried, I ga
