It’s Almost Time!!!

In less then 7 hours from now… I will be sitting in a blackened theatre, with my Sis Pam and my BFF Terry and about 100 oogling females. Tonight, we see Twilight at 9PM, and New Moon directly after at the stroke of midnight.

I am not one who normally goes to midnight showings… I don’t even like to catch a new flick within the first couple of weeks of it’s opening. But, this is different. I don’t get to go out too often, and as far as going to the movies? Well my friends, Twilight was the last movie I saw at the theatre! Hello??? That was like, a year ago! I needed this little bit of Alison time. Things have been pretty stressful around here, and what better way to blow off some steam then to see a bunch of vampires? Well I suppose I could think of a couple of other things that would be better… but we won’t go there. ;}

So the three of us will ride off in to the night, 2 of us decked out in some of our finest vampy attire, whilst our adrenaline pulses through us like heroine. We will be giddy like 4 year olds. Possibly obnoxious like 12 year olds. Definitely not acting our ages. but who cares? A movie is a place where you are meant to lose yourself. To fall in to an alternate reality. To dream about the impossible (wait… you mean there might not really be an Edward Cullen?!?!? Bah!). We are going to have a BLAST!!!

Yes, photos will be taken. For those of you who are avid readers of either my blog or TTIC’S, you know that I am issuing a special scrapbook challenge specifically for the release of New Moon. Bring your camera!!!!! Take a ton of silly and embarrassing photos of your friends. Make SURE there are photos of YOU too!!!

And tomorrow, be sure to check out both of the fang-tastic blog hops I will be in. One of course is for Twilight Tuesday. The other is for the exciting Artful INKables. Both are huge (TTIC has over 50 participants!!!). Both are exciting! Both have blog candy!

And then, it’s time to dish. Chat about the good the bad and the ugly (?) of this newest installment of the Twilight Saga. I cannot wait to rant and rave for months on end about it. Until then… see you on the other side of the New Moon!!!

Echo Park Blog Hop with Imagine

Greetings! This is my second post for the day. This one is not part of the 31 Days of Halloween, but rather a super-duper blog hop that the Artists in Residence for Imagine are doing with Echo Park . So if you're here for my Day 7 project, please check out the post HERE . But before you do that, scroll on to check out this one. There are prizes up for grabs, so be sure to check out the Imagine Blog as well as the Echo Park Blogs for details. I created my background by applying Dandelion and Tangelo Memento Ink to my brayer. Then I sprayed it with Ink Potion No. 9 to help the colors blend and to act as an extender to keep the inks wet longer. After I rolled the colors out on to watercolor paper and let it dry, I stamped the lovely doily-like image from Echo Park's Simply Sweet Stamp Set with Grape Jelly Memento. I also received the super pretty Heart Doily Designer Die  which I used with a true purple cardstock. But it needed something....and in rolls the super fabul...

Mediterranean Dreams Shaker

Hello! Today I have a card that features the Mediterranean Dreams Subscription Kit from White Rose Crafts.  This fabulous Subscription Kit brings together sparkling, azure Mediterranean seas, sun-bleached shores and the rich colors of vibrant Mediterranean cultures in a carefully curated kit. I knew I just had to try the Jillibean Soup shaker card and I chose to use one of the stamps (from Kaisercraft) to make my background. I stamped the seashell with Tea Dye Distress Oxide all over the background of the card. Then I applied some Walnut Stain Distress Oxide to my craft mat, spritzed it with some water, and splattered it on to my card base. Last, I inked the edges with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide with a Mini Blending Brush. For my sentiment, I die cut a stitched rectangle from my stash, out of the pearly yellow cardstock that came in the kit and stamped it with "Wish You Were Here" stamp from the same "Summer Splash" stamp set, with StazOn Pigment ink. And ...
