Be An Angel: Wacky Holiday with Bombshell Samps

Hello! Did you know that today is Be an Angel Day? This is a day that we are encouraged to do acts of kindness, and just be...well nice to others. So I thought it would be fun to do a Bombshell interpretation of this. Here's my card.

I used Cherry Bomb and All My Heart for this project. I love the wings from All My Heart, and I liked the position of the Cherry Bomb gal, so I knew this would be a fun combination.

I used some Stickles and glitter embossing powder for the wings. I also used Stickles on her eyes, flower and shoe. I used a beautiful stencil from Dreamweaver for my background too. It's called Thinking of You and can be found HERE.

I get all of the wacky holidays for Bombshell from Holiday Insights. It's a fun site that has a ton of silly celebrations sure to make you giggle. A couple of the other Bombshells created projects for Be an Angel day, so why not stop by the Bombshell Blog to see their offerings? Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

February Smeared & Smudged Sketch Challenge

The new Smeared & Smudged challenges are up and ready for you to participate in! I got instantly inspired by Kelliā€™s card sketch for the month, as I have been working with different ideas for my next ā€œTarot Card.ā€ Haha! Thatā€™s actually pretty funny! If youā€™ve been checking in over the past couple of weeks, you may have seen my Misty Benson Tarot Set 1 ( Smeared Ink ) cards. Iā€™ve used The World and The Fool so far. Today, I bring you Death. Donā€™t worryā€¦itā€™s actually a joyful imageā€¦one that I intend to use a lot! First, hereā€™s the sketch. I flipped it and changed the ribbon and embellishment a bit. Can I just start off by saying that it is quite nerve wracking to slice your image??? I have done it a few times in the past, but I always get butterflies when I attempt it again. I colored the image and the card itself using nothing but Distress Inks and my Cut-n-Dry Nibs. My skull button at the top has been colored with Alcohol Inks.   The colors look a little off ...

We want to take a moment to show our gratitude and thank Tammy for the blessings and joys we have received as members of the ADFD DT. Our theme is ā€œA Collection of ADFD Favoritesā€ - so each DT memberā€™s blog you visit will share something she has created with one of her favorite ADFD images.  The hop has   hidden prizes  - a commenter from each hidden prize stop will win a choice of one image from the ADFD Shop !
