Be An Angel: Wacky Holiday with Bombshell Samps

Hello! Did you know that today is Be an Angel Day? This is a day that we are encouraged to do acts of kindness, and just be...well nice to others. So I thought it would be fun to do a Bombshell interpretation of this. Here's my card. I used Cherry Bomb and All My Heart for this project. I love the wings from All My Heart , and I liked the position of the Cherry Bomb gal, so I knew this would be a fun combination. I used some Stickles and glitter embossing powder for the wings. I also used Stickles on her eyes, flower and shoe. I used a beautiful stencil from Dreamweaver for my background too. It's called Thinking of You and can be found HERE . I get all of the wacky holidays for Bombshell from Holiday Insights . It's a fun site that has a ton of silly celebrations sure to make you giggle. A couple of the other Bombshells created projects for Be an Angel day, so why not stop by the Bombshell Blog to see their offerings? Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiri...

July Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop: Paint the Town!

Greetings! It's time for the July Hump Day Hop! This month, my challenge theme was "Paint the Town." So I wanted everyone to take out their paints and sprays and go nuts! I decided to make a few tags to be later used on other projects. I used a whole bunch of stamp sets for these 3 tags. I used Cherry Bomb , Man's Ruin , Tiki Party , and Girl's Ruin . I started by spraying each tag with sprays from Dreamweaver Stencils and Tattered Angels. Then I stenciled or brushed on some acrylic paint, and ended with stamping the images. Here's a closeup of each tag. I rarely use the devil head, and I thought this was a great opportunity to pull him out. Out of the 3, this is my favorite tag. No stencils were used on this one....just a fan brush to apply the paint. This will be cool on a scrapbook page I think. Now, to have a tiki party...... ;) This tag gave me some trouble. There's actually a car underneath that blue patch of paint. It didn't embo...

April Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop: Color Challenge

Hello! It's the last Wednesday of the month (and my husband's birthday!), so it's time for the Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop. This month, I gave us a color challenge. I love doing those! Here's the palette, from Design Seeds . I challenged the participants to use at least 3 of these lovely colors...though more is always better. The only shade that I didn't use is the gray. I used Bombshell Angel and the Fun 'N Flirty digi clothes. I also used 2 stamps from the Cherry Bomb set, and the zebra print from Bombshell Patterns . I colored my images using a mix of watercolor markers and alcohol markers. I love this outfit. It's sassy. It's hard to tell, but the main card is cream. I thought white would have been too stark. But, I think it should have been a smaller card. Though, I do love that dotted paper. It's nice to see so much of it. Now it's time for you to keep hopping. And, if you have some Bombshells of your own to play with (...

Muse Monday with Bombshell Stamps: Cherry Bomb

It's the first Monday of the month, so I am bringing you the first week of Muse Monday with Bombshell Stamps . Each month, I am choosing a different set to highlight. So each Monday, different Bombshell gals are going to show off the featured set to give you lots of inspiration. This month, the featured set is Cherry Bomb . I love this Bombshell because she's sitting. There's not too many Bombshells that are sitting down. I also used the banner that came with this set. I used watercolors to color in my Bombshell and the banner. I hand drew that little border with a marker. I also used the large cherries that come with the set to create my background. I thought about coloring them in, but I liked the idea of leaving them uncolored better. So instead I inked the edges in red. Want to see more with Cherry Bomb? Then please visit the Bombshell Blog every Monday this month to get lots of inspiration! Thanks for stopping by. Have a fang-tastic day!

Bring the Heat: S&S Hop

Hello again! It’s time for a Smeared & Smudged Blog Hop! The theme is “Bring the Heat.” “This is totally up to interpretation....some ideas would be using heat embossing, hot glue or fire. Or even using imagery of fire, heat, or even something SEXY! Step outside your comfort zones - the HOTTER the better!!! It can be a canvas, a card, a scrapbook page, an altered item, an art journal page, etc. Use your imaginations. Also, don't forget the S&S rule that is has to be stamped somewhere (digi stamps are fine).” I teamed up with my Bombshell Stamps Babes, and used several sets for my “hot” creation. I started off using Harley Bikes , knowing that I wanted to use the flame from the Hula Girl set on the tank of the bike. I stamped the bike, then the flame- in 2 colors, and I embossed the flame so that it would really show…especially after I colored the rest of the tank in. Then I went for a stamp I hadn’t used before…the devil from the Cherry Bomb set. I stamped him ...

June Bombshell Stamps Sketch Challenge

Greetings! It's Monday, and I am sad that my husband is going to work today. Especially after we just had such a nice Father's Day. We went to a (small) Pirate Festival, and had a nice dinner with my Mom and sisters. We weren't in full pirate garb, but we certainly fit in. So many folks sadly didn't even make the attempt to dress up. So it would only be fitting for me to share a card using Bombshell Stamps ' Pirate's Life set, right? Well, that's not going to happen today. ;) Instead, I have a card, featuring this month's Sketch, using Cherry Bomb and Harley Bikes , and Man's Ruin . I made it for Gene, for Father's Day. This was tricky! I had been wanting to try this for a while now, but decided that it was finally time to actually give it a go. Did you notice that my Cherry Bomb Bombshell is sitting in a different position? Wanna see the original? Click the link above. She's a wee bit too big for the bike, but I still think...
Greetings! I have a new Bombshell Stamps card to share with you today. I went a little over the top with this one, as I combined 3 different Bombshell challenges into one! First, I used this month's Sketch Challenge. Then, I went for this month's Pin-Up Challenge. Last, we Bombshell gals have a DT only contest every 2 months, so I wanted to participate in that as well. It was tough to do all 3, but I did it! Here's what I made...then I'll give you the break down for each challenge. Here is the sketch that Kathi created for us. Yeah, I changed it up a bit. But that's part of the fun of doing a sketch challenge. Making it your own. The second challenge was the Pin-Up challenge, as I mentioned before. Jennie , AKA Ms. May, gave us a really cool Tic Tac Toe challenge. You know the drill...ya gotta do 3 in a row. So I went with Pearls, Something New, and Red. I used 2 little black pearls, my something new was my brand-spankin' Cherry Bomb and Festi...
