3 ATC's

Hello out there! Today, I have 3 ATC's to bring you. One for the latest Wicked Wednesday , one for the new A Step in the Dark challenge, and one for Bombshell Stamps . For Wicked Wednesday, we are sponsored by A Day for Daisies , and the challenge is "On the Farm." I used the image Birds for Bree. I think she makes a very cute farmer girl! I used alcohol inks for the image, and watercolors for the background. Now, on to ASitD. The challenge is Anything Goes/Use Some Metal. We are sponsored by the creep-tastic Ike's Art . I used Witchy, becuase let's face it...I can never have too many witch digis. I colored her with my watercolor markers, and used a sentiment stamp that I had on hand. Then, I sprayed Imagine Crafts' irRESISTables on top of the image for that bubbled texture. Love that stuff! You can really see the texture of the spray here. I used staples for my "metal" aspect of the challenge. For Bombshell, this ATC was made...

Hump Day Hop, WW, and Kickstart Day 2

Hello and welcome! It's the last Wednesday of the month so it's time for the first Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop of 2014! Also, since it's Wednesday, I have a new Wicked Wednesday ATC to share, PLUS it's Day 2 of Kickstart your Art with Smeared & Smudged. I combined the S&S piece with my Bombshell project. This month's Bombshell Hop theme was Animal Instincts. I wanted the participants to use at least one of the many animals Bombshell has to offer, or one of our animal patterns. There are many sets that could have been used this month! As you can see, I used the animal prints from Bombshell Patterns . Those patterns plus the prompt from Kickstart was my inspiration. The prompt was "Hearts." So I decided to combine the two ideas....love is primal to me. I am deeply in love with my husband, and I totally can feel the animal instincts kicking in with him sometimes. ;) In addition to the Bombshell Patterns set, I also used Madonna Woodcut (th...

Be An Angel: Wacky Holiday with Bombshell Samps

Hello! Did you know that today is Be an Angel Day? This is a day that we are encouraged to do acts of kindness, and just be...well nice to others. So I thought it would be fun to do a Bombshell interpretation of this. Here's my card. I used Cherry Bomb and All My Heart for this project. I love the wings from All My Heart , and I liked the position of the Cherry Bomb gal, so I knew this would be a fun combination. I used some Stickles and glitter embossing powder for the wings. I also used Stickles on her eyes, flower and shoe. I used a beautiful stencil from Dreamweaver for my background too. It's called Thinking of You and can be found HERE . I get all of the wacky holidays for Bombshell from Holiday Insights . It's a fun site that has a ton of silly celebrations sure to make you giggle. A couple of the other Bombshells created projects for Be an Angel day, so why not stop by the Bombshell Blog to see their offerings? Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiri...

A Little Bit 'o Love

Hello Friends! I have a new Bombshell Stamps Muse Monday project to share with you, and an art journal page. As you may recall, this month at Bombshell, I decided to highlight the All My Heart set. It just so happens that the latest Wicked Wednesday challenge is Celebrate the Season, and I thought I could make an ATC for the challenge with this set. I've only got one picture, as my camera decided it didn't feel like focusing. I've used 3 images from this set, plus a blank banner from Banner Sayings . I thought it would be interesting to stamp text on text, so I gave it a shot. I think the fact that I had the text facing 2 different directions made it work.  I may just be startin' to get the hang of making these ATC's! I also wanted to play along with Just Some Lines this week. The theme is "Love." But I didn't want to do a typical love project dealing with 2 people.....I wanted to art journal about my love of books. I think this image is ...

February Muse Monday: All My Heart

Hello! It's the first Monday of the month, which means I get to share the latest Bombshell Stamps Muse Monday with you. What's Muse Monday? Each month, I choose a different set for the Design Team to highlight, and every Monday, different members of the team strut their stuff with that set. By the end of the month, you will  have seen a bunch of fabulous projects, all using that one set. So much inspiration! This month, I chose All My Heart. You can find it HERE in the Bombshell Shop. Here's what I made. It's an ATC to go along with the latest Wicked Wednesday challenge. I typically have a rough time with ATC's, which is why I don't make them very often. And while I did struggle with this one a bit, I do like how it turned out! The Wicked Wednesday challenge is Gothic Love, and I think this heart from the All My Heart set works quite nicely with the challenge. I colored the heart with a combination of watercolor markers and alcohol markers. My backg...

You Give my Heart Wings

Happy Sunday! I wanted to share a card with you today that I made for my husband for Christmas. It features the All My Heart set from Bombshell Stamps . So yeah, it's not Christmas-y at all. But it was about what was inside.... I told him I wanted to make his heart soar. Literally. I bought him a flying lesson. He has always wanted to fly planes, and has a lot of knowledge on the subject already. What's the best part? It is all getting video taped! We are both really excited. I was thrilled to buy it for him, and he was stoked to receive it. I can't wait for him to go! I colored the image entirely with Distress Inks. I also used Distress Stickles. He was really surprised about the card and the gift. It was a really special moment. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Day 10 of 31 Days of Halloween: Bombshell Sketch Challenge

Hello! For today's project, I decided to not go the Halloween route. Instead I went down the path of Dia de los Muertos. Today is the day the October Sketch is revealed on the Bombshell Blog , so I of course wanted to play along. For this card, I went with 2 sets from Bombshell Stamps . Dia de los Muertos and All My Heart . I went for a very pastel color pallet  which is very unusual for me. I used watercolor markers and Copics for all of my images. I love how the wings turned out. I used a little bit of Star Dust Stickles, and it really gave the wings some dimension and magic. I think perhaps next  time, I may try what some of the other talented Wicked Bloggers do, and layer the heck out of those wings for some real dimension. I used the same Stickles around the sentiment. If you've seen the original sketch, you'll see that I altered it slightly. I did that to better suit the position of my focal image. So a bit of a break fro...

September Bombshell Hump Day Hop: Let's Hear it for the Girls!

It's the last Wednesday of the month, so you know what that means. It's time for the Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop! Last month, it was all about the boys... well this month, in anticipation of October, the theme is "Let's Hear it for the Girls!" This theme is a little more specific than last month's though. I wanted the participants to create a project which could be sent to someone in October which is (here in the States) Breast Cancer Awareness Month. So let's Think Pink!  I recently acquired the All My Heart set from Bombshell and this is the first opportunity I have had to use it. I thought that it would be perfect for the message we were trying to convey this month. I colored this heart with watercolor markers and Copics. The color is a bit off from what it looks like in real life....but you get the idea. The die cut ribbon is from Sizzix, and the corrugated cardboard was a great find that my mom gave me. I punched the stars out...
