3 Lists

Greetings! Today I am sharing the first 3 Lists I made for the 30 Days of Lists. I am putting them all in my Art Journal. I have never been good at doodling....so I am not loving how they look right now, but as the month goes on, hopefully I will find my stride. I don't want to simply write them on the page. I want them to be kinda pretty/cool. Here's Day 1.

Nothing too fancy. Just playing with some markers.

Here's Day 2. A little bit more exciting. The prompt was "About Me." Here's my list:
1. Artist
2. Wife
3. Mommy of 2
4. Glitter Lover
5. Vampire Fanatic
6. Tired
7. Craving Chocolate
8. Empath
9. Snuggler
10. Crazy for Halloween

And finally, my Day 3. The prompt was "This ____ I am going to ____." Here's my list.
This day I am going to make art.
This week I am going to try to grow my business.
This month I am going to try to get published again.
This year I am going to try to earn a trip with The Pampered Chef.

I am really enjoying making these lists. I just want to up my designs a bit. I also need a better understanding of Flickr.....but, that will come eventually too. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

February Smeared & Smudged Sketch Challenge

The new Smeared & Smudged challenges are up and ready for you to participate in! I got instantly inspired by Kelli’s card sketch for the month, as I have been working with different ideas for my next “Tarot Card.” Haha! That’s actually pretty funny! If you’ve been checking in over the past couple of weeks, you may have seen my Misty Benson Tarot Set 1 ( Smeared Ink ) cards. I’ve used The World and The Fool so far. Today, I bring you Death. Don’t worry…it’s actually a joyful image…one that I intend to use a lot! First, here’s the sketch. I flipped it and changed the ribbon and embellishment a bit. Can I just start off by saying that it is quite nerve wracking to slice your image??? I have done it a few times in the past, but I always get butterflies when I attempt it again. I colored the image and the card itself using nothing but Distress Inks and my Cut-n-Dry Nibs. My skull button at the top has been colored with Alcohol Inks.   The colors look a little off ...

"Dream-Pendous" Collaboration!

Greetings! This is going to be such an exciting week for Dreamweaver Stencil s fans and Stampendous Stamps fans alike. It's going to be a "Dream-Pendous" week of inspiration! The Dreamweaver and Stampendous teams are collaborating once again with all the fun toys in each team's arsenals. Of course, as usual, there will be prizes given out for those who comment throughout the week. In fact, there will be 3 prize packs available! Each will have a great selection of Dreamweaver Stencils and Stampedous dies and images. One being the new "Blossom Beauty" face image as shown in the badge in my sidebar. I am beyond excited to share my project with you. I made an art journal page, with a....rather altered...version of the fantastic Blossom Beauty image. Can you tel that I had soooooo much fun with her?!? It was a blast to rework her beautiful face and turn half of her into a sugar skull. The flowers are really what inspired me to do it. They are so big and be...
