Pucker Up: It’s Halloween!!!

It’s here! It’s here! My favorite day of the year! I can’t believe that the month is over! I am so not ready to stop making Halloweenie projects! Luckily, I don’t have to! But I do hope that many of you will keep checking back with me to see some of the things that I come up with! I had so many things that I still wanted to make for the month…And I really wanted to end it with a bang today. Unfortunately, unforeseen things happened (as they always do), and time slipped away. But again, no one’s sayin’ I can’t make them in December! ;} So for my 31st offering of the 31 Days of Halloween (sniff!), I bring you a card featuring an image from Strange Skin , and a sentiment from Smeared Ink …who just happen to be 2 of the 3 (yup, 3!) sponsors we have today! The third is Wild Flower Kids. It’s a pretty simple card, but that fang-tastic Strange Skin image makes it awesome! I think he turned out rad! He looks so snarky! I thought that the “Pucker up” sentiment was perfect for him!

Trick or Treating with Tiddly Inks and Simply Betty Stamps: Fiery Rio: Day 30 of 31 Days of Halloween

Tomorrow is Halloween!!! I can’t believe it! This month has flown by faster then a witch on her broom! And trust me…I would know! Today I bring you a card featuring Rio from Simply Betty Stamps. I love this little image! She’s so cute but her dress makes her spooktacular! It’s a big card for a little image, but there were so many scraps of paper that I wanted to use…I decided it was best to just put her on a big card. I’ve gotta say, I l ove how her hair came out. The colors blended so well, and she has perfectly coiffed highlights and lowlights. And this was done with Crayola colored pencils! How cool is that??? Her dress, tights and shoes are done with my Spectracolors, but the rest is all Crayola. See? You don’t need an expensive set of pencils to color well! You can click on any of the images to see them bigger. I went for a fiery look for Rio. Kinda devilish, kinda sweet. She has such a pretty face! I love this image. And I wish I had this dress! I held the card in my window

Bite Me: Day 29 of 31 Days of Halloween

I’d like to start this post off by saying…it’s my 6 Year Anniversary! 6 Years ago today, I experienced one of the most magical and wonderful things of my life. Marrying my Husband Gene. I love you!!! On to my project…I had colored this image from Stamp It Crazy some time ago…but never managed to get her mounted on a card. Finally, her day has come! I paired her with the “Bite Me” sentiment from Smeared Ink , which I think is just perfect for her, as she looks so damn pissed off. I could write several stories around this image…hmmm…may not be a bad idea! ;} I colored her in with colored pencils, markers and Stickles. The Bite Me was inked up with Vintage Photo and I stenciled some spider webs using my chalk. A little bit o’ drippy goodness, and I was done! I took some inspiration from Barb at Haunted Design House …see my little dots? I got the idea from her. You can see the Stickles on her wings a bit better from this angel…You can click on any of my photos to see it bigger. I am so

2 Smeared & Smudged Challenges: Day 28 of 31 Days of Halloween

Ecah month over at Smeared & Smudged we have a several challenges such as Oh! The Horror, and the 2 Sketch Challenges. But there’s also Rock N Rolla and our Guest Design Team member’s Challenge.  This month’s Rock N Rolla Challenge is the video for Living Dead Girl by Rob Zombie. Our GDT is none other than Barb from Haunted Design House ! Purrrfect!!! Rad video and fabulous GDT! Let’s start with Barb’s Challenge. As a GDT, Barb gets to offer up a challenge for all to participate in…and I just had to play along with this one!!! I challenge you to create a project paying homage to one of the Goddesses of Harvest. You may only use warm, Fall colors and you must also have at least one rubber-stamped image (this is Smeared & Smudged after all!). Ooh! So many things I could do for this challenge! But, as I am low on time I couldn’t go too over the top. I think I came up with something really cool! Remember that tree I told you about in Salem, Mass? The one I love to

Bombshell Blog Hop and Day 27 of 31 Days of Halloween

Welcome to the latest installment of the Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Blog Hop! You should be coming from Alaine’s Blog . If not, please start at the brand spankin’ new Bombshell Stamps Blog ! Here’s Kas’ challenge: OK, this has got to be the easiest Bombshell Bloghop to join in on!! Halloween and/or Day of the Dead. If you have a Bombshell Stamp....you have no excuse. I don't care if it's theme....color.....you name it It just has to be Halloween! Super simple! And of course, this also works for the 31 Days of Halloween! I broke out my gorgeous Butterfly Queen set and went to town. Isn’t she regal in purple? My Queen is colored with my colored pencils. The wings were done with ink. I added some Stickles to some key areas as well. I topped her off with a faboo mask (Sassy Studios)…thanks, Lyss!!! But I couldn’t hide her pretty face, so she’s wearing it on her head until she arrives at her party. For some reason, it’s tough to see in my photos, but on the plain cardstock, I stam

Freddy Card: Day 26 of 31 Days of Halloween

Greetings! Today I am sharing one of the newest digis from Strange Skin . It’s from their 3rd Famous Monsters Collection. And guess what??? They are our sponsor for today! Yup! YOU could win one of the famous monsters from this very collection! Your choice! Just visit Kelli’s blog for the scoop. Wanna see them? Creeptastic right? These guys really are the stuff that nightmares are made of! I choose Freddy for today’s selection… Isn’t he just wicked??? I also used the claw marks (ok…they’re not really claw marks…but they work here!) from Smeared Ink’s Chicks Dig Guns set. I really LOVE all of the faces swirling over Freddy. If you flip the image upside down, there are some really freaky ones! I think this image rocks! I drew the “Don’t Fall Asleep” with 2 pens…made it all scratchy. You can click on any of the photos to see it bigger. I am totally gonna use Freddy throughout the year. He’s too cool not to! Frankenstein Tag: Day 25 of 31 Days of Halloween

I am sharing another tag today. I really enjoy making them. I hope to eventually use this one on a layout. I colored up Frankenstein, from Strange Skin’s Monster Buffs collection (did you know they now have two more famous monster sets???). Check it. I didn’t use any paper on this tag, aside from that which I used to print Frankenstein out. I used some raw cardboard, 3 Glimmer Mists (Jack O Lantern, Haunted Shadows, and Lily Pad), a Glimmer Screen (the spider web), my stitch stamp (Stampers Anonymous), a bit of white and black ink, Amazing Glaze, and some fibers. Oh. There’s an eyelet too. Not a lot of stuff to make a pretty cool tag! Here’s a close up of Frankenstein. He’s colored with my colored pencils. Isn’t he totally creepy? Here I’m trying to show you the lovely Glimmer Mist. If you click on this (or any other) picture), you can see it bigger. You can really see the Amazing Glaze along the edge here. You can see a lot of Glimmer in this shot. I love how the colors always b

Arachnophobia: Day 23 of 31 Days of Halloween

Many of you know that I hate spiders. You could say that I do actually have arachnophobia. Yeah, yeah…they’re great for the environment and all that…but so are BATS! I would SO much rather have bats about than spiders! Blech! But. When I saw this month’s Oh! The Horror Challenge on Smeared & Smudged, I was instantly inspired. Take a peek-see… Check out that stunning sky! Those pretty trees! That single spider dropping from it’s elegant web. How could you not be inspired by this? Originally, I was just gonna use the sky as inspiration…but then I remembered this way cool tree that I have…and then oh! That nasty (but totally perfect!) spider stamp that I have (hey, it came in a set!). I went very literal with my card…and I think it’s rad. The color is much richer in person. It really follows the colors of the poster. I stamped my tree (Stampers Anonymous) first, then I stamped my spiders (Inkadinkado). I embossed the images in black. Then I started to play with my belov

Bewitching Pumpkins: Day 23 of 31 Days of Halloween

Today I bring you a sweet card. Really sweet. One of those things that will probably make you say “Awwwww!” I can hear it already… So yeah. I don’t  normally do sweet…but who could resist these adorable mice? When I owned my scrapbooking & stamp store, I ordered so many of these mice stamps from Stampabilities. I just love the whole series of them. This, of course, is one of my absolute favorites though! I have to to my own horn for a minute and say that I really LOVE how this card turned out. The coloring is exactly what I wanted, and I think I was able to blend my colored pencils really well to get a nice smooth finish with a lot of depth. You can click on either of the photos to see it bigger. I didn’t do anything else to the orange card but ink the edges with a purple chalk ink. This image speaks for itself! I hope you like it…even though it’s not macabre or creepy…it is perfect for Halloweenie!  Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers, posted on my

Sexy Beast: Day 22 of 31 Days of Halloween

I felt like making something a little cheeky for today… Kinda silly. I was looking over my As Death set from Smeared Ink , and I realized that one of the images I liked best hadn’t yet been inked up. I decided it was time! Say hello to my Sexy Beast… Doesn’t she look like she’s doing a strip tease for her lover??? Or is it just me? I colored her in some lovely pastel colors, her frock in a sweet shade of purple. She was done in my watercolor markers. I made it sort of a big ATC…it’s the size of an index card. I guess since it’s towards the end of the month I’m in a silly mood! But that could also be because I haven’t gotten much sleep lately! ;} Hope you got a good laugh (or at least a snicker) at my project! It was a pretty quick project…but my mind is kinda fogged over, so I needed to do something quick and simple. Today we have a sponsor!!! Surprise!!! Look for a hidden image on one of the Wicked Blogs, and you have the chance of winning one of the ultra-fabulous De

SISC32: Think Pink! and Day 21 of 31 Days of Halloween

Sooo…I accidentally posted this yesterday… My days are all mixed up! I apologize!!! I feel terrible about it! When I realized my mistake, I took it down. So here it is…on THURSDAY…like it was supposed to be! Yay! It’s Thursday again! That means it’s time for another StampInsanity Challenge. This week it’s Ward Two’s turn to play along (check out both Wards posted on my sidebar), and that means I’m in! This week’s challenge is in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness…Beth wants us (and you!) to “Think Pink!” Of course, I used an image from this very special set. The proceeds for the sale of this set go to the Susan G. Komen fund. The colors are much more vibrant in person.  I colored Katie with my colored pencils and then used scraps to make the rest of the card. I wrote “Think Pink” on one side using a few different pens. I love this image. It is full of strength and hope. I used this image to make a card for my neighbor who just lost her Mom to cancer. She loves the car

Day 20 of 31 Days of Halloween

Ok....SO I f'ed up big time... If you were here this morning... you would have seen that I had TWO projects up today. My Strange Skin card and a StampInsanity card. Trouble is...it's NOT Thursday! So...I took the StampInsanity portion of this post down. This is what happens when I get no sleep! So...that post will be up tomorrow, along with something else. Major oops! Sorry Beth! (blushing) Now for my 31 Days project! I used one of Strange Skin’s Cameos for this card. I love this whole set!!! Isn’t she awesome! She has such a snarky look on her face! It’s tough to see,, but I used some pale shades to color in the vamp and the backgrounds. You can click on any of my photos to see them bigger. I’m really happy with the candle holders. My husband suggested I color them to look like they had a patina finish, and I think they turned out great! As you can see from this photo, I stamped some batty bats on to my deep red cardstock. Plus, I used Candy Apple Red Glimmer Mist along wi
