Greetings! This week, the White Rose Crafts Team is "Embracing our Embellish-mental Side." So we are focusing on things like Sparkle Blends, buttons, Nuvo Drops, etc. I decided to focus on one of the newest Sparkle Blends from Doodles Paper Playground , called Vixen. Be sure to read to the bottom for a special notice! I was really inspired by one of the Sugar Skulls from Dovecraft. There are 3 styles available, and the price is under $2! Although there are a lot of details on this skull, it was quick to color up. I used my Zig Clean Color Markers.  I fussy cut the Sugar Skull out, and chose one of my many backgrounds made with Distress Oxide Inks that I had in my stash. It was made with the "Ink Smooshing" technique with Picked Raspberry, Twisted Citron , and Peacock Feathers . Hello! Today I am sharing a few cards with you that all feature the Sugar Skulls stamp and die set from Stampendous. I recently started doing "live" videos on my personal Facebook page, and I decided to teach my friends how to use "masking" on cards. I decided to post the video to my YouTube Channel. I used VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne for all of my stamping, and all of the coloring was done with Memento Markers, both from Imagine. On this first card, I also used a sentiment from Andy Skinner's set " Unexplained ," as well as a few sequins from Doodles Paper Playground 's Flower Power Sparkle Blend. The next card adds stenciling, and I used the Design I Beam, which makes for a graphic background against the organic style of the skull and roses. Greetings! Today I'm sharing a card with what may be my favorite Sparkle Blend from the April 2018 release. It's called Intergalactic, and its filled with teals, purples, blues, and hot pinks. Some of my favorite colors! It's got regular sequins, stars, opalescent gems, tiny beads, and lots of other bits that you'll love looking at. I decided to make a shaker out of one of my all-time favorite Sugar Skulls. It's from Dilly Beans and if you've been a long-time follower of mine, you may recognize it. I thought the eyes would make great shakers. If you'll notice, the right eye is right at the edge of the drawing, so I opted to cut a border around it so that I had room to apply my foam to close the shaker correctly. I kept the edge wavy to work with the wavy edge of the digi. I colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I chose colors that matched very close to those in the Shaker Blend. Hellooooo!!! It's Day 18 of the 31 Days of Halloween. Today I've got a Magic Color Slider card to share with you. I am nuts about this this die from Lawn Fawn. It's genius! I used a great Sugar Skull stamp from Stampendous with it this time around. If you haven't seen a card like this before, you may be wondering where the magic is. See that little blue tab up there? If you pull on it...you'll see how cool these cards can be. There are plenty of videos on how to make these, from Lawn Fawn themselves, as well as plenty of others. To color my images, I used Memento Markers. The colored skull and the ribbon image were both stamped with VersaFine ink. The upper skull (on acetate) was stamped with StazOn. Helloooooo!!! It's Day 10 of the 31 Days of Halloween. Today I used a very unique image that I have really fallen in love with. It's the Gothic Unicorn from GothArte Tenebris. I'll be honest, this was an intimidating image to color, but man was it worth every second! I really took my time with it, and I am so happy with the end result. I colored the Gothic Unicorn with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I also broke out my water brush from time to time. When I was finished coloring it, I fussy cut it out, but leaving a bit of a border. Then I looked for some coordinating papers to complete the card. I really wanted some shine, so I found that fabulous metallic copper cardstock and paired it with some paper from DCWV. I felt I needed some more color, so I used some deep blue cardstock and sprayed it with Sheer Shimmer Spritz from Imagine, in Gold. You can see the shine in the photo above. Hello! Today I've got a tag to share with you. I used the Sugar Skull Cling set from Stampendous for it. I really like this particular Sugar Skull, and you will probably see it again later in the month. I colored the stamped image with my Zig Clean Color Markers, and used the accompanying die to cut it out. I really like how this set has both stamps and dies included. Then I started to make my tag. I used Distress Oxide inks on a plain manila tag from Staples. The colors are Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers, Lucky Clover, and Wilted Violet. I applied the inks with an Ink Blending Tool and then I misted them with water and dabbed up the excess to get variations of color. Then I stamped the "spooktacular" with VersaFine Ink. Next, I coated the whole tag with VersaMark ink and sprinkled on a layer of Chunky Clear Embossing Powder . I heat set it and then repeated it 2 more times. Greetings! It's Day 23 of the 31 Days of Halloween. Today, I am sharing a project for my kids' room. Last year, we decided to deck the room out in sugar skulls. In a never-ending quest to add more to the room, I decided to change out a few of the drawer pulls on their dressers. Just a few here and there. The pulls are just like the ones that came on the drawers, so they will look nice when I switch them out. These handles are from Home Depot, and they were pretty inexpensive. I painted them in a pearly white paint. Then, I used the largest sugar skull from the Sugar Skulls Bombshell stamp set, and stamped it with StazOn ink on too tissue paper. Then, I colored them with Sharpies. The Sharpie ink bled a bit on the tissue paper, so I had to re-stamp a few of them. I sealed them off with a gloss varnish, and the tissue paper doesn't show at all. Using that made it very simple, as opposed to trying to stamp the image over the curve of the drawer pulls. I always need to do at least one Day of the Dead project for every 31 Days of Halloween. So for Day 10, I have a project using a fabulous Sugar Skull from Dilly Beans . I love Megan's Sugar Skulls, they're always fun to color. I used my Zig Clean Color markers for this one. For my background, I used the Waves and Dots Stencil from Dreamweaver (via Stampendous ), along with several colors of Dylusions Sprays. I of course flipped the sprayed up stencil on to a new piece of paper to get the negative image, and so that I don't waste any of that fabulous spray. I'll use that part another day. Because the sprays are so easy to work with, this is another card that came together fairly quickly. And right now, I am all about getting things done fast. Greetings! I have 3 projects to share with you today. Wednesdays can be super busy, huh? I have a new piece for Wicked Wednesday , A Step in the Dark , and Bombshell Stamps . Hello there! I have a new Dilly Beans challenge to share with you today. The new challenge is Masculine/For Dad. Here's my card. Couldn't you see a guy with lots of ink digging this? I love the Dilly Image I used. It's Sugar Skull Framed # 416. I colored it with alcohol markers.  My background was a blast to make. I used 3 stencils from Dreamweaver Stencils to sort of re-create the flower and swirl on the Dilly image.  I used Corner Flowers for the leaves, Amsterdam Flourish , and the Lotus as my focal flower. I used Versa Fine inks from Tsukineko and a couple of inks from Color Box. I applied them with a stencil brush and daubers, and added a layer of clear embossing powder on top.
