I loved coloring it in. The colors are a little washed out here. I now want my sister to actually make me a cupcake that looks like this. Fortunately, she likes to bake. ;) I colored the cupcake with my watercolor markers. My teeny "happy birthday" is from Inkadinkado. Phoenix recommended that I make the corners up top. Welcome, welcome! Today I am sharing the very first challenge for the brand new challenge blog, Movie Magic Monthly. Every month on the 10th, we will have a new movie that we want YOU to create a project for. Make anything you want! A card, a scrapbook page, jewelry, altered art, journal pages, anything, as long as it has something to do with that month's movie. You will have an entire month to play along with us, so you've got plenty of time! What's our first Movie Magic Monthly Challenge??? Alice in Wonderland! I created an art journal page. My Alice is from Dilly Beans , and those fabulous mushrooms are from Strange Skin . I colored both images with watercolor markers and alcohol markers. I popped Alice up with foam dots. I thought these two images went so well together, don't you? I used watercolor paints for my background. I also sprayed the soil with a Tsukineko spray. I like how it came out. Hello Halloween fans! It's Day 3 of the Smeared and Smudged 31 Days of Halloween. Today, I have a card  that features an image from Strange Skin , which is my sister Pam's company. I love the way Pam drew this heart. The wrappings are so intricate and cool. I colored the hear with Pumice Stone, Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Inks. The drippy letters are from Martha Stewart, and I used a couple of rub-ons that I had laying around. I also used my Mini Punchinella stencil from The Crafter's Workshop. That's my project! I made a simple little card for Gene for Valentine’s Day. I used one of the newest images from Strange Skin . You can find it in the new Sweet Treats collection. It’s a jelly roll…but I made it into more of a cake roll with the way I colored it. I used my Copics and watercolor markers to color this yummy treat in. My sentiment is from Inkadinkado. It’s a very basic card…but I like it. Yeah, I could add a bunch of things to it….but I think I like the simplicity of it. The sweet polka dots with the delicious looking cake. As many of you know, I try to play along with Macabre Monday over at Haunted Design House as often as I can. I squeezed in some time to create a card for their latest challenge… Dr. Death . We had to make something with a medical theme. I immediately thought of some of the rad images I have from Strange Skin . And this is what I came up with. I used one of my absolute favorite images from them, the Bride of Frankenstein Cameo. I think she’s gorgeous. I colored her with colored pencils and my watercolor markers. Here’s a close up. I accentuated the pieced together look by making her skin all different colors… like she really was made up from different creatures. She also has quite a weave going…lots of different colors. I am so excited that Strange Skin is sponsoring Macabre Monday this week. Yeah, I know…it’s a little late to be writing about it, but I’ve had a lot going on the past few days…I’m just glad I was able to make something. As you may or may not know, Strange Skin is a company that was created and owned by my sister Pamela and her boyfriend Jorge. You can read all about them over at Haunted Design House. This week’s challenge is Love Bites. Strange Skin just came out with some fang-tastic new digis (have you seen them yet???) that are just perfect for this challenge. I made a tag. The tag reads: “You were everyone’s Heart Throb… But I wanted yours to throb just for me… I love you.” A wee bit twisted, no? I added some delicious fibers to the top of the tag, which would make a fabulous bookmark. I colored the heart with chalk, and the blood with a Sakura Jelly Roll pen. Greetings! After kind of avoiding the computer for a few days, I am happy to bring you a mini recap of my Top 10 Fave Cards of 2010. This was started by my bloggy friend, and fellow Groovy Gurl Suzi . If you click on her name you can see all of the fab details of this Top 10 Hop. I have made a LOT of cards this year. To narrow down my favorite 10 is a tough job, because I am honestly proud of so many more then just 10. But…here are my choices, in no order. 1. This may very well be may favorite card of the year…One reason is because it uses my favorite Strange Skin digi…and because Strange Skin is my sister Pam and her boyfriend Jorge’s company! I love this card. 2. Damon Salvatore…do I really need to say much more? This digi is from StampHappens, and I LURVED coloring it in! I watched Vampire Diaries as I was coloring to make sure that I got the high and low lights of his fabulous jacket right! 3. I am sharing another tag today. I really enjoy making them. I hope to eventually use this one on a layout. I colored up Frankenstein, from Strange Skin’s Monster Buffs collection (did you know they now have two more famous monster sets???). Check it. I didn’t use any paper on this tag, aside from that which I used to print Frankenstein out. I used some raw cardboard, 3 Glimmer Mists (Jack O Lantern, Haunted Shadows, and Lily Pad), a Glimmer Screen (the spider web), my stitch stamp (Stampers Anonymous), a bit of white and black ink, Amazing Glaze, and some fibers. Oh. There’s an eyelet too. Not a lot of stuff to make a pretty cool tag! Here’s a close up of Frankenstein. He’s colored with my colored pencils. Isn’t he totally creepy? Ok....SO I f'ed up big time... If you were here this morning... you would have seen that I had TWO projects up today. My Strange Skin card and a StampInsanity card. Trouble is...it's NOT Thursday! So...I took the StampInsanity portion of this post down. This is what happens when I get no sleep! So...that post will be up tomorrow, along with something else. Major oops! Sorry Beth! (blushing) Now for my 31 Days project! I used one of Strange Skin’s Cameos for this card. I love this whole set!!! Isn’t she awesome! She has such a snarky look on her face! Ok. By now you should all now just how damn talented the Wicked Bloggers of 31 Days are. Sick. Everyday I get a ton of creep-tastic inspiration, and it’s hard to decided which idea to do first. Well, I am always extremely inspired by Black Dragon , who I am proud to say, is now on 2 Design Teams with me! Not just Smeared & Smudged , but StampInsanity as well.
