Aurora Wings Challenge #75

Hello! Today I have a 6" x 6" mini page that I am sharing for the latest Aurora Wings challenge, which is "Over the Rainbow." I was very inspired by the beautiful Unicorn Sprite.

I colored her with Zig Clean Color Markers, and I really took my time with her. I love how she turned out.
I knew I didn't want to put her on a card, so I decided to make a page for a 6" x 6"  album that I am making that is dedicated to the Sprites from Aurora Wings.
I decided to create an altered rainbow using Distress Oxides in Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers, and Dusty Concord. I splattered the inked background with Sheer Shimmer Spritz in Sparkle from Imagine. I chose a Laurel Burch ("Celebrate Dreams") sentiment from Stampendous and stamped it with VersaFine Clair ink in Fantasia. I also used a star die from Rubbernecker Stampers with a silver vellum on the background, as well as another vellum with the Cloud Die from Stampendous' Meadow Edger's Die set. Lastly, I added a lot of lovely sequins from the "Vixen" Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground.
I love working with the Aurora Wings Sprites, and I am especially happy with how this sweetie turned out. She will b perfect in my mini album, although my kids want to hang her in their room! Please be sure to visit the Aurora Wings Challenge Blog to add your "Over the Rainbow" project to the blog. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

What a magical page, Alison! I really love your modified rainbow colors you've carried throughout and it's obvious you took your time coloring Unicorn Sprite. The outcome is amazing. Love the vellum accents and sparkle, too. What a perfect project for our theme. Gorgeous! xxD
This is so beautiful, Alison! Gorgeous coloring in clean colors. The way you highlighted the mane and tail bring such dimension and life to the Unicorn Sprite! Love the background, too. Thank you so much for this gorgeous inspiration for today's mid-challenge post. M xxx

Mediterranean Dreams Shaker

Hello! Today I have a card that features the Mediterranean Dreams Subscription Kit from White Rose Crafts.  This fabulous Subscription Kit brings together sparkling, azure Mediterranean seas, sun-bleached shores and the rich colors of vibrant Mediterranean cultures in a carefully curated kit. I knew I just had to try the Jillibean Soup shaker card and I chose to use one of the stamps (from Kaisercraft) to make my background. I stamped the seashell with Tea Dye Distress Oxide all over the background of the card. Then I applied some Walnut Stain Distress Oxide to my craft mat, spritzed it with some water, and splattered it on to my card base. Last, I inked the edges with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide with a Mini Blending Brush. For my sentiment, I die cut a stitched rectangle from my stash, out of the pearly yellow cardstock that came in the kit and stamped it with "Wish You Were Here" stamp from the same "Summer Splash" stamp set, with StazOn Pigment ink. And ...

Echo Park Blog Hop with Imagine

Greetings! This is my second post for the day. This one is not part of the 31 Days of Halloween, but rather a super-duper blog hop that the Artists in Residence for Imagine are doing with Echo Park . So if you're here for my Day 7 project, please check out the post HERE . But before you do that, scroll on to check out this one. There are prizes up for grabs, so be sure to check out the Imagine Blog as well as the Echo Park Blogs for details. I created my background by applying Dandelion and Tangelo Memento Ink to my brayer. Then I sprayed it with Ink Potion No. 9 to help the colors blend and to act as an extender to keep the inks wet longer. After I rolled the colors out on to watercolor paper and let it dry, I stamped the lovely doily-like image from Echo Park's Simply Sweet Stamp Set with Grape Jelly Memento. I also received the super pretty Heart Doily Designer Die  which I used with a true purple cardstock. But it needed something....and in rolls the super fabul...
