Stampendous and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Collaboration

Hello! This week, the Stampendous Design Team is collaborating with the Design Team from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3LScrapbook Adhesives by 3L is such a great company with great products. They generously supply the Stampendous Design team with 3D adhesive foam squares so we can pop up the elements on our cards and bring our projects to life. We have also gotten some fun foiling kits (called the 3D Foam Creative Embellishment Kit, which is something that I used on my card today.

I decided to use some of the wonderful foam squares and sheets from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to make a shaker card. Also, as I mentioned earlier, I really love the foiling kit, so I wanted to think of a fun way to use that. I decided to break out the Christmas Bright Stamp and Die Set, though for this card, I only used some of the dies.

I die cut the "merry" with the foam sheet that comes in the 3D Foam Creative Embellishment Kit and then lightly pressed the red foil into the die cut. I made sure to not get the edges. After that, I used the green foil to get all of the areas that I "missed" with the red. I love the effect of the 2 colors on the word. For the "Christmas" die cut, I used Neenah Desert Storm cardstock, and used a brown Pitt Pencil from Faber Castell to add some shadows.

For my shaker window, I used the small oval in the Christmas bright set and cut it out of Graphic 45 cardstock. My card base is brown, and with such a large window, I didn't want it to be plain, so I used my favorite stencil, which is the Houndstooth, along with Champagne Delicata ink. In my shaker, I used a mix of sequins from Doodles Paper Playground and The Ink Road. To give the shaker dimension, I used some foam squares and cut up portions of foam sheets from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

I love the shine and interactive quality of this card. It's just so much fun to shake! As I mentioned earlier,

Christmas in July with Imagine Crafts & Stencil Girl!

Hello! Have you heard? The Imagine AIRs have been hopping with Stencil Girl! If you have been here before, you know I loooove me some stencils, so this collaboration was very exciting for me! The teams are hopping for 3 consecutive Saturdays, and this is week 2. I have the entire list of hop links at the bottom of the post. Be sure you don't miss anyone! I decided to to create an extra large gift tag with my new stencils. Using red cardstock, I taped down the Journal Texture #8 Stencil  and inked it up with Golden Glitz Delicata ink . I promise you, this is the BEST gold ink you will ever use! The Journal stamp only has 2 diamonds on it (it's a 4x4" stencil), so after I inked up the first pair, I moved over the stencil, lined it up, and inked again. Next I wanted to do something textural with the Urban Insiders Star . So I took some evergreen cardstock, taped down the star, and slathered on some yummy Iridescent Green Creative Medium . After the medium dried, I ga
