Butterfly and Hibsicus Skull

Hello! There's a lot of holiday projects everywhere right now, since it's December. But I really needed to step away from that for a moment and work with the gorgeous Butterfly and Hibiscus Skull digi from GothArte Tenebris.

I loved coloring this image. I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush. I really didn't want to put this on a card, but instead make it a 6" x 6" Mini Page. Here's a close up of the coloring.

For my background, I used the coolest spiderweb stamp ever, which is from Stampendous, and stamped it repeatedly with a couple of spiders. I thought it needed some foliage, so I used a fern stencil, also from Stampendous.

I feel better now that I took a step back from all the holiday stuff. As much as I love it, I really needed a rad skull to work on. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

February Smeared & Smudged Sketch Challenge

The new Smeared & Smudged challenges are up and ready for you to participate in! Christmas in July with Imagine Crafts & Stencil Girl!

Hello! Have you heard? The Imagine AIRs have been hopping with Stencil Girl! If you have been here before, you know I loooove me some stencils, so this collaboration was very exciting for me! I decided to to create an extra large gift tag with my new stencils. Using red cardstock, I taped down the Journal Texture #8 Stencil and inked it up with Golden Glitz Delicata ink . I promise you, this is the BEST gold ink you will ever use! The Journal stamp only has 2 diamonds on it (it's a 4x4" stencil), so after I inked up the first pair, I moved over the stencil, lined it up, and inked again.
