Creating Fall and ADFD August Club Kit

Hello! I have a 2-fer for you today. My first project is for the Fall theme that we Stampendous gals have been sharing with you all week. The second is for the new August Club Kit from A Day for Daisies.

Let me start by saying that I LOVE House Mouse stamps! If you've been following me for a while, you know that I prefer creepy stuff...but when it comes to House Mouse images, I just melt! For today's card, I used Trick or Tweet. I colored the stamp with a combination of Tombow watercolor markers and Copics. I also used watercolor paints for my sky.

If you look really close, you'll see that the bird has a teeny seed that he's giving to the trick or tweeters.

For my background, I used the negative background that I had created for yesterday's card....scroll down to my next post to see! It was made with Pale Ale Memory Mist and the stencil that comes with the Wired stamp set. On top of that, I inked the Oak Leaf in random areas to add more oomph to the background. I inked my card base a bit, and I added the Copper Lux Mix to 2 corners. I also added a wee bit of rik rak from May Arts. Here are the rest of the folks posting today from Stampendous.

For A Day for Daisies, we are sharing the August Club Kit. I worked with Vintage Lip Color. And, I went very "Alison-Style." I made it kinda goth, and I love it.

Isn't she lovely? I colored her with my Tombow markers. I wanted to make her kinda creepy-chic. Is that a thing? I'd like to make it a thing. I want to BE creepy-chic myself. There. I'm coining it. Creepy-Chic. You saw it here first. ;) But I digress.....

For my background, I started with the Fleur de lis Dreamweaver Stencil and I inked it with a deep purple ink. I added a couple cool pieces of scrap paper, and super sparkly ribbon, plus some micro beads.

I looooove this image, and I can't wait to color her up again. I'll even try a softer more straight laced version. She's just gorgeous. And wait until you see the rest of the images in the August Club Kit. You're going to love them. Please be sure to visit the A Day for Daisies blog to see more! Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Mediterranean Dreams Shaker

Hello! Today I have a card that features the Mediterranean Dreams Subscription Kit from White Rose Crafts.  This fabulous Subscription Kit brings together sparkling, azure Mediterranean seas, sun-bleached shores and the rich colors of vibrant Mediterranean cultures in a carefully curated kit. I knew I just had to try the Jillibean Soup shaker card and I chose to use one of the stamps (from Kaisercraft) to make my background. I stamped the seashell with Tea Dye Distress Oxide all over the background of the card. Then I applied some Walnut Stain Distress Oxide to my craft mat, spritzed it with some water, and splattered it on to my card base. Last, I inked the edges with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide with a Mini Blending Brush. For my sentiment, I die cut a stitched rectangle from my stash, out of the pearly yellow cardstock that came in the kit and stamped it with "Wish You Were Here" stamp from the same "Summer Splash" stamp set, with StazOn Pigment ink. And ...

Echo Park Blog Hop with Imagine

Greetings! This is my second post for the day. This one is not part of the 31 Days of Halloween, but rather a super-duper blog hop that the Artists in Residence for Imagine are doing with Echo Park . So if you're here for my Day 7 project, please check out the post HERE . But before you do that, scroll on to check out this one. There are prizes up for grabs, so be sure to check out the Imagine Blog as well as the Echo Park Blogs for details. I created my background by applying Dandelion and Tangelo Memento Ink to my brayer. Then I sprayed it with Ink Potion No. 9 to help the colors blend and to act as an extender to keep the inks wet longer. After I rolled the colors out on to watercolor paper and let it dry, I stamped the lovely doily-like image from Echo Park's Simply Sweet Stamp Set with Grape Jelly Memento. I also received the super pretty Heart Doily Designer Die  which I used with a true purple cardstock. But it needed something....and in rolls the super fabul...
