Madness: Day 31 of 31 Days of Halloween

Happy Halloween!!!!!! What a fang-tastic month! I haven't gotten to do much in the gory department, so I decided that today, I should end the month with a bang. I used Madness from Aurora Wings . Love this crazy fabulous image. I especially love the eyeballs in the grape bunches. I colored the image with alcohol markers and watercolor markers. I only used some ink for the main part of the card....I would never want to take away from this image. I am entering my card into the Aurora Wings' " All Gored Up " challenge. I hope you have all had as much fun as I did this month. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers, all listed in my side bar. Thanks for stopping by. Have a fang-tastic Halloween!!!!!

Dreamweaver Extra Week of Posts: Day 30 of 31 Days of Halloween

Greetings! I have a super quick card to share today, using a Dilly Beans skull and Dreamweaver Stencils ' Nesting Frames. All month long, the Dream Team has been serving up all sorts of holiday goodness. Not just Halloween, but Thanksgiving and Christmas too. I of course, had to stick with Halloween. I colored her up with colored pencils, and used two of the Nesting Frames dies from Dreamweaver Stencils. Have you been keeping track with who has won this month over at Dreamweaver? Did you win? What stencil did you choose? Are you hooked??? How great is my base card? Scored a pack of them (with different designs) at Michaels. $2.99 for 40! I may need to get anther pack. My fab-u-lous velvet ribbon is from May Arts . That's about it for me today! Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers, all listed in my side bar. Plus, the whole Dream Team is posting today as well! See their links below and drop by for a visit. Thanks for stopping by. Have an spook...

Skull Charm: Day 29 of 31 Days of Halloween

Ack! It is SO close to the end! Today is Day 29 of the Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween. Today I have a super quick pendant that I made, using one of the Tim Holtz stamps that I won from last year's 31 Days. I used this image once before this month, but it's so cool that I just had to use it again. Here's a photo of the stamp on my block, and the charm next to it. Yup...I used Shrinky Dinks! I LOVE using them, and it's been a couple of months since I have, so I thought this was a good time to break them out. Keep in mind, that since this stamp has writing, I'll only be able to wear it with the matte side showing. I like the look, though I prefer the glossy side. If you make these yourself, try to avoid using an image with writing. I stamped the image with Staz-On, and I used just 2 colored pencils. Super quick. Just for fun, here's how cool the glossy side is....it didn't flatten out perfectly, but I'm totally col with that. Please ...

Happy Halloween: Day 28 of 31 Days of Halloween

Hello there!I have a fun card to share with you today using the Aurora Wings image, " Happy Halloween ." I colored this cutie with a combo of alcohol markers and watercolor markers. I made it for the Aurora Wings challenge of creating a project using Halloween colors. He's got quite a lot of candy in that Jack O Lantern! I used some fun papers from DCWV and Core'dinations. My 2 oval Long Oval Nesting Dies are from Dreamweaver Stencils . I also used some orange Stickles to add a bit of sparkle. Thanks for checking out my project today! Please be sure to visit the ret of the Wicked Bloggers, all listed in my side bar. Have a fang-tastic day!

Ravens Waiting: Day 27 of 31 Days of Halloween

Hello! It's time for Day 27 of the Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween. Where has this month gone??? Today I made a project for the latest challenge from A Day for Daisies . The theme is Anything Halloween , and  used their Ravens Waiting digi. I LOVE this company. It's certainly one of my favorites. Isn't this a fantastic image??? I colored the image itself with Spectrum Noir markers, and the background was done with watercolors. You don't need many colors for this image...but I look forward to experimenting a bit with it with some unusual colors. I used my favorite punch (Drippy Goo), and 2 dies from Dreamweaver Stencils, called Nesting Frames.  My sentiment is from Smeared Ink 's Quoth the Raven set. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers, all listed in my sidebar. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creep-tastic day!

Eye See You: Day 26 of 31 Days

We are SO close to the end of the Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween. I have so many more projects that I want to make, and very few days left to make/showcase them. Well, with all of the chaos of the month, I didn't post my latest card for the Dilly Beans challenge. Thankfully, my project has been doe for a while, so it is on the Dilly Beans Blog. The newest challenge is to make a round card or use lots of circles. I went with the latter. I always use this fantastic eyeball for the 31 Days. It's too cool to leave out. It's from Inkadinkado, and it's one of my favorite stamps. I paired it up with one of Megan's fantastic Big Eye Girls, and I colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers. I love coloring these Big Eye Girls. Playing with colors and shadows is so fun with them. I used a sentiment also from Inkadinkado, and irRESISTables spray from Imagine Crafts. It's glossy and has a great texture to it. Love that stuff! I hope you'll play al...

H is for Heikkila: Day 25 of 31 Days of Halloween

Welcome to Day 25 of the Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween! Today I have something other than a paper craft. Hooray!!! I have been working on this piece for a while, because I had to allow for drying in between laying down the patterns. You'll see what I mean.... This pressed board "H" I found at Michaels for about a quarter on clearance. It's about 14" long. I think I may hang it on my front door or attach it to a wreath and then hang it to my door. I used a bunch of Dreamweaver Stencils and a couple of stamps too. There's the Bats , the Owl on Oak , Damask , Houndstooth , Spider , and the Spider Web . The rest are stamps. I used a little glossy black Embossing Paste, some black ink, and some fabulous black glittery embossing powder. I would work on opposite sides of the H so that I wouldn't touch the wet spots. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers, all listed in my sidebar. Thanks for stopping by. Have a cre...

Halloween Chevron: Day 24 of 31 Days of Halloween

Greetings! I have some glittery goodness to share with you today! I used one of Dreamweaver Stencils' newest stencils- Chevron Background . I used the Double Glitter technique. Have you seen it before? Feast your eyes on this....... If you love glitter like I do, then you need to try this technique! HERE is a great video tutorial by Wendy Jordan. I wish my orange glitter was a little brighter, so that you'd see more of a contrast, but I still think it looks ok. I highly recommend using as fine a glitter as possible when doing this technique, to be sure that you get into all of the teeny places and you get better coverage. My purple glitter is much finer than the orange, and hopefully you can see that it has much nicer coverage. I kept the rest of the card pretty simple. A sentiment from Recollections (Michaels' own brand), and a cool trim I had, all mounted on to black cardstock. Please be sure to check out the rest of the Wicked Bloggers, all listed in my side...

Crow's Nest: Day 23 of 31 Days

Can you tell that sometimes Dream Team's "Fearless Leader", Pam Hornschu, has a hard time deciding on monthly challenges? Since the team will be taking turns all month with the Smeared and Smudged 31 Days of Halloween, and we did a Christmas collaboration with Stampendous and Core'dinations the 13th - 17th, the confusion should be understandable. Therefore...happy HallowThanksMas! As usual, we'd love for you to play along with the challenge and link your creations to the Inlinkz tool on the Dream It Up! blog. Just in case you are wondering...NO, YOU DO NOT NEED TO POST SOMETHING WITH ALL THREE HOLIDAYS ON IT! However, you get bonus points for actually using  Dreamweaver  stencils and product on your creations! And bonus points might actually earn you an extra stencil as our monthly winner...just sayin'! Many people think of crows when they think of Halloween. The supposed harbingers of death, their strange "caw," the movies, like The Crow...which t...

Skull with Poppies: Day 22 of 31

Hello and welcome to an on-time posting! I did manage to finally get up yesterday's post, so if ya missed it, feel free to scroll on down to it. So it's Day 22, and it's also a Wednesday, so that means I have a new Wicked Wednesday ATC for you. This week, we are sponsored by the amazing Aurora Wings, and the theme is Day of the Dead. I took a bit of a different take on the theme. I used Memento Mori. And I didn't go with the typical Sugar Skull. Isn't this a fabulously creepy image? I used alcohol markers as well as watercolor markers for this. Didn't need too much more, since i had this fabulous paper. I used some cool skully washi tape and a bit of Distress Stickles. That's about it! I hope you'll play along. Thanks for stopping by. Have a spooktacular day!

Day 21: Hey Pumpkin!

Yup...I'm late. Stupid late. Like, it's almost tomorrow! But,, these past 2 weeks have been insanely busy. Pampered Chef meetings, Pampered Chef Shows (need anything??? ;) ), school meetings, regular errands....so my apologies for posting so...late..... I used the Jack O Lantern stencil from Dreamweaver Stencils. First, I applied alcohol inks to one side of the stencil, much like I did with the spider web stencil on my Hedwig card. But this time I used textured cardstock and 2 colors of ink, so the look is totally different. Because of this, I felt my Jacks didn't stand  out enough, so I cleaned off my stencil and inked them. So I used the most stunning gold ink that I've ever seen. Delicata Golden Glitz from Imagine Crafts . Love the shimmer, and in person it's even more beautiful. I outlined everything with a marker, and then added my sentiment from Cosmo Cricket. Ta-da! Better late than never, right? Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Blogger...

Hedwig the Halloween Witch: Day 20 of 31 Days of Halloween

Greetings! I love to color. Not necessarily for a project, but just for the joy of coloring. So very often, I wind up with images that don't necessarily get put on to a project for months....just because I felt like coloring. Does this happen to you too? Today is an example of this. I give you....Hedwig the Halloween Witch from Rick St. Dennis . I had colored her with alcohol inks in a color combo that I love. I added some patterned papers...though the turquoise was plain. I used  Dreamweaver Stencils '  Spider Web.  I put some alcohol ink on a felt pad (Cornflower Blue Archival Ink from Ranger to be exact), and applied it directly to the stencil. Then I flipped my once-plain cardstock on to the stencil, and voila! Spider web on paper. Thanks for checking out my latest make. Hope you like her! Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers, all listed in my side bar. Have a spook-tacular day!

Damask Pumpkin: Day 18 of 31 Days of Halloween

Ok friends, today I am cheating. I am double posting with Dreamweaver Stencils today, and I am using the same project for both. I'm sorry! I have been busy with Pampered Chef Shows...fundraisers to be exact...and making costumes for my kids. So today, I decided to not make myself absolutely crazy, and just use the same card twice. I used the beautiful Damask stencil, inked with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink. I had a really cool pumpkin stamp, from Inkadinkado, which also has a damask print on it, which is what inspired the card for today. The pumpkin was watercolored, and the 2 elements were layered atop a striped piece of paper. Not overly crazy, this project, because I didn't want the patterns to be too overpowered by anything else. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers, listed in my side bar. Thanks for stopping by. Have a spooktacular day!

Owl ATC: Day 18 of 31 Days of Halloween

Hello! I have another ATC for you today. My focal images are from Inkadinkado. I colored the focal image with watercolors, and then cut it out. I made this super quick, because time is so not on my side right now. Anyone else struggling to find time? I feel like I am getting pulled from every angle, and sadly my crafting is suffering for it. But, I am happy I managed to get a post up today! Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers. They are all listed in my side bar. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creep-tastic day!

Holiday Hop and Collaboration: Day 5

It's such a sweet set. I was going through my Dreamweaver Stencils, and I came across the Open X-Mas Tree . Then it came to me. Remember the part in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, when the song Silv...

Nevermore: Day 17 of 31 Days

I love crows and ravens. They are magical, curious, and creepy. Some of my favorite birds, for sure. So I just had to break out my Raven stencil from Dreamweaver . I used Dreamweaver's Matte Black Embossing Paste on the raven, making it lok feathered, instead of smooth. After he dried, I cut him out. Then I played with the Stone Wall ...I love this stencil! I embossed that as well, and then inked some mossy tones on top, subtly. I used the Rain stencil and inked it in white, then embossed with clear powder. Used my fun fence punch from Martha Stewart, and the "Nevermore" sentiment from Smeared Ink's Quoth the Raven set. I stamped it on acetate and stapled it down. This card takes me to the end of my favorite movie, The Crow. The scene in the rain, when Eric Draven is fighting Top Dollar at the church. Loved that part...so much emotion in that scene. What's interesteing, and unintentional, is that my second post for today, the last of my Dreamweaver/S...

Holiday Hop Collaboration: Day 4

Greetings! Season's Greetings, that is!  All of this week, the   Stampendous   and   Dreamweaver   teams are playing with a mix of their products, along with some wonderful, SAND-ABLE papers from   Core'dinations . Join us as we sand our way to the "core" of all things Christmas and the Holiday season. *** If you are looking for my 31 Days of Halloween post, please scroll down.***   Of course, there will be prizes, and we give away the best...this time with a mix of fun   Core'dinations products as well. Here is what you might win:  Here's what I'm showing off today: I started off by stamping the pine branches from the Forest  Friends  stamp set. I added some flocking, but it really doesn't show. Next, I cut out the Nested Ornaments with s...

Halloween Lantern: Day 16 of 31 Days of Halloween

Hello Halloween fanatics! It's Day 16 of the Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween. Today, I have a super simple card...albeit a kinda creepy. At least...I think so. I hope you agree. I started off by stamping my "Halloween" image (one of my all-time faves!). It's from Basic Grey. I stamped it on to vellum with Memento Ink. Word of warning...it dries sloooooowly on vellum. So I used my embossing gun just a bit to help it along. Then, I stamped my pretty lantern (from Inkadinkado) in the same fashion. For the spooky glow, I simply cut a piece of orange cardstock and placed it underneath the vellum. So it gave the look that it was actually under old glass. Sometimes simplicity can be pretty creepy, and that's really what I was going for here. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers, all listed in my side bar. Thanks for stopping by, have a creep-tastic day!
