QKD Whimsical Sketch Challenge (and Macabre Monday #50)

Today is the very first time I have played along with the Whimsical Ink SororityAlex, one of my fellow Smeared & Smudgers (and member of the Kaleidoscope Krew!) mentioned this challenge the other day on the forum. So I decided I just had to play along! It’s a sketch challenge; and here is the sketch.

Cool. I just happened to have a couple images from QKD from a swap I did with the S&S girls. I need to get me some of these stamps because they’re fab!

Isn’t my batty-wench fabulous? Now, you may have noticed in my title that I also mentioned Macabre Monday #50. That challenge is “Foul Flutterings.” Now, I put it in parenthesis not to undermine the creep-tastic Mondays, (have I mentioned that I made Gruesome Twosome with my Jack O’ Lantern Shaker Box card?????) but because this is not the project I originally intended to enter for it. I have another one up my sleeve that I hope (fingers crossed!) to have done tomorrow. So hopefully I will have tow entries this week for the wonderful Haunted Design House.

Once again, my colored pencils were used to color in my image. It’s hard to tell, but her sword and necklace were done up in metallic pencils. It look way better in person.

This wonderful key is from DCWV, their Once Upon a Time collection (my fave!!!). I thought it was just perfect for finishing off this card!

Thanks for looking! Have an inspiring day!!!

Echo Park Blog Hop with Imagine

Greetings! This is my second post for the day. This one is not part of the 31 Days of Halloween, but rather a super-duper blog hop that the Artists in Residence for Imagine are doing with Echo Park . So if you're here for my Day 7 project, please check out the post HERE . But before you do that, scroll on to check out this one. There are prizes up for grabs, so be sure to check out the Imagine Blog as well as the Echo Park Blogs for details. I created my background by applying Dandelion and Tangelo Memento Ink to my brayer. Then I sprayed it with Ink Potion No. 9 to help the colors blend and to act as an extender to keep the inks wet longer. After I rolled the colors out on to watercolor paper and let it dry, I stamped the lovely doily-like image from Echo Park's Simply Sweet Stamp Set with Grape Jelly Memento. I also received the super pretty Heart Doily Designer Die  which I used with a true purple cardstock. But it needed something....and in rolls the super fabul...
